3d graphics problem

hey guys need help ,i have gone through this section to find my problem answer but could not find it ,so in last opened this topic/
today i flashed with new kph rom everything thing is ok only problem is with 3d graphics in game ,in game details are missing like everything is black in character s or sorroundings ,what is the problem when its not beta release ,i had same problem with with kp7 and kpe rom ,i will try to upload the screen shots ...

inin that game screen shot the character is looking black when its not sopposed to be looked like that ,is this comman problem guys or only i had gone somewere wrong ,i already flashed 2/3 times but could not solve it...

I dont play games alot but i can say that even though its stable rom but its not a perfect rom.

He must be from team africa !
On a serious note :O Which firmware did you upgrade to XXKPH from?

haha good joke, i upgraded it from kpe rom , i faced this problem in all gb roms till now ...as they are beta releases i did not bothered about it ,i hoped officeal release will solve this problem ....

Yes I can confirm, that in KPH, there are atleast two different texture bugs, including the one you described.

Yes...There are graphic issues with GB and some apps have it (including games)...
All those apps and games which have an issue on gb work fine on froyo... Till date, no idea on that...Hope this will be fixed in coming release

Your point might be true but all games that work on galaxy s also work on sl.. They all work in froyo but there are graphics issue in gb...Thats what the thread is about

Try out Chainfire's 3D app (free version) from the market. It's like an OpenGL driver buffer. Install the kernel mode driver inside the app. It may help.

I haven't used Chainfire's 3D app but seem's logical. This may solve the issue apparently. Games like Sacred Odessey had similar issues. But with grass textures.

Level 1 of Sacred Odyssey (or the first area) is perfectly fine, but get on the horse and go into the second area and it's all black, minus some patches of grass. Does the same on Froyo for me anyway, so screwed either way. :/

LOL YEA, The cave before you meet the princess. I thought it was only me with the issue, Oh well. Atleast I could see the light from the tunnel

Yup, that's my problem. Hopefully it can be fixed soon. I tried Chainfire, but i either couldn't get it to work, or it doesn't help.

I am having same problems. But with Quadrant and Sygic maps. Its texture lib issue apparently. In sygic maps some tiles are not being rendered and hence show black. While is Quadrant 3d test the walls are plain not textured like on XXKB3.
This has happened after XXKPH flash.
BTW I flashed correctly to xxkpe full with latona, and then xxkph pda file only.
XXKPH, CF root, deodexed, rfs
Maybe some problem with texture versions ?

The issues that you mentioned are because of gb. Both work fine on froyo. For sygic use 2d rendering instead of 3d and it will be much better.

sorry but i had the same texture problem with xxkb3 in backstab and BACKBREAKER and i still have it with xxkph

stupid samsung, i have the problem also
some gameloft game(backstab and Sacred Odyssey ) and sygic maps
the rom i test:
froyo DXKB2 ZHKC1
Gingerbread XXKP7 XXKP9 XXKPE

Tried chainfire not working same problem ....what can i do now i dont want to leave gb and at a same time want perfect rom ...

There is no such thing as perfect ROM. However there are fixes which may come, Hopefully.

Games that run on Galaxy Note - Some Paid ones of Free too :)

you should have the app "s choice" preloaded on your phone. it's samsung apps

With those of you having trouble getting/running GTA 3 on your Note, I also had trouble running it.....Until now...
Like many others the game is no longer available in the market place & even when attempting to purchase it online I get the message ''no devices/your device is not supported''
I had to do things the hard way by manually looking for and installing the GTA 3 apk file.
When this was complete things got worse. When attempting to install the game data via wifi I got the following message ''Data download authorization error. Is the time on your device set correctly?"
Regardless of what I tried to do the message would continue.
Once again I had to mess about looking for the data files for GTA 3 to manually run the game without the need to download it via wifi.
I then downloaded the game data & copied it to my android/data folder.
When launching the game you will still be prompted to update. If you decline it the game closes, if you accept you get the above error about the time zone.
What I had to do was to press the back button on the note. The screen would then go black and stay black.
Lastly I pushed the home button, I did not close the game but went to my home screen (game was still running in the taskbar) I then open my task bar and press GTA 3. Bam, it now works!
Anyone have any questions?

I have a fixed APK though... deleted all my files and am trying to download and reinstall, will let you know if it works at this time

What a releif I had no problem installing GTA3..
It may be of interest to some that it plays completely smoothly when clocked at 800MHz, and very slightly choppy but totally playable at 500MHz.
Also, the only games I think anybody needs are GTA3, and Zelda OoT and Majora's mask - both run smoothly with N64oid, though the latter is more demanding. I found that MM was not playable until I bought setCPU (rooted etc.), but interestingly I can play it completely smoothly when clocked at 1000MHz.
But PLEASE has anyone had success with PS1 or NDS emulators? I find that when starting an emulation, both just show the controls but fail to load a game :/

Games....

While most games work I have a few that don't.
Asphalt 5 or 6 don't work... most likely a build. prop issue.
Heavy Gunner has an xy axis issue that is reported to be an ICS issue.
GTA III does work.
Has anyone moved the build.prop to get more games to install?

Not sure about build prop but I can say that Nova2 HD doesn't work (Gameloft sucks), Shadowgun force closes sometimes. Dead Space, Temple Run, Angry Birds Space and N64 emulator all work well.

GTAIII only barely works for me. It ends up freezing the controls, so if I was running, he just keeps running as I am still touching the controls. The controls also seem to lag greatly causing me to get my butt kicked when I am trying to mug people.

i'm considering buying this tab and games if definatly an interest. Was wondering has anyone tried a PSemulator on the tab? Wonder how that would play with something like say, FF7 also curious how Mini Motor Racing plays on the tab.

I removed it and re-installed it. Still doesn't work. It downloads the levels, goes to the PopCap screen then hangs forever, sometimes it makes it to the next screen (Loading...), then hangs.
I can't find a HD version, just the regular pay for version. It works just fine on my Atrix 2.

Real Racing 2 doesn't work. It installs but gets a server error 5002 when launched. I bought the Tab just for this awesome game!

I got a bunch of Gameloft games to work, by changing the build.prop to Galaxy Nexus. Same GPU as our tab, and high resolution, so the games should be optimized. Unzip this and overwrite the one inside /system/
Make a backup first, this might cause problems down the line.
EDIT: Yeah this kills sound. So, after you change your build.prop, download the games, install the data and restore your backed up build.prop. Sound will work again. The games will also still work.
There is an app on the market called "Device Spoofer" that makes this process easier.

Put sims free play on it for the wife to play. It runs really well considering its almost a gb of data downloaded.

Asphalt does work on my tablet(p3110) but Plants vs Zombies don't~~

Grand Theft Auto and Plants vs Zombies both work great for me on CM9.

I downloaded the plant vs zombiesHD version which was around 2 mb , later when I installed and launched the game it stopped working the message says "unfortunately plant vs zombies has stopped working" so any suggestions for this problem

That message you got is called a "force close" Some apps do this s8metimes especially if there are many apps fighting for Ram, thats when you need the multirasking butt8n, which looks like 2 frames with an overlap, selecting "Remove all" will clear up Ram.

PvZ works great for me, I am using version 1.3.16 with included data files to sd card.
however, it is always asking for network, just for starting the app.

GTA 3 work fine for me CM 10/1 and aopk oc kernel :good:

Nop, i can run Modern combat 4, GTA, dead trigger, spider man etc perfectly without any lag, using cm10.1 but with a official Rom it should the same.

[Q] chainfire 3d not working on my galaxy y

hi guys, i rooted my galaxy y and installed chainfire 3d and set it up then i tried antutu benchmark and i got just a few points more like this, then i tried subway surfers that ran with lag, and with chainfire it was the same, why isnt chainfire 3d working for me? i read somewhere that i need to download an app that will make idk what swap and take memory from my sd card if its fast enough and use it as ram, i want more info on this as i cant find too much about it. sorry for my crappy english, its almost time to sleep for me and my computer gave me a big headache, so what can i do about chainfire 3d?

have u installed the plu ins?

the problem is that im not a gamer,so you have to wait for answers from other user,sorry.in normal case chainfire is not all what you need to run,a good kernel is required to i think.but im not sure.

well,in my experience,subway surfers will always lag,whether with cf3d or not,the modded one or not

Per-app open gl settings doesn't work. Always use default open gl settings and it will work nicely =P

Set the default plugin as qualcomm...it runs widout any lags for me.....enjoy surfing

Its normal. Also Gallery looks messed up. Restore original settings and plugin to make it back to normal.

To answer both questions
Yes you can use chainfire 3d in stock rom
no you won't be able to play HD games - the galaxy y just isn't powerful enough - if you want to play HD games buy a phone that has 1gb ram qualcom snapdragon processor & is armv7

But Ive search in Google there are several armv6(not armv7)Games that runs in other low-end devices using Chainfire3d but totally lags...but is playable.

All I want is to play HD games in my sisters Galaxy Y.So ill try some armv6(not armv7)

Initial thoughts just received it

I still have my non rooted note 2. I had a nightmare reinstalling my back ups the ones on my memory card could be found .Thank for my phone explorer that saved the day for some .
Also Kies didn't work with this at all it days I need a new version which I could find.a whole day wasted so far .(this is one area where iPhone is leaps above.)
Seems to take longer to turn on.
Overall I like it and the back is good non slippery.
Haven't had time to check it all or the pen apps but I few things I notice .
No Polaris office but there's a Polaris viewer only but I can't find it in the apps.no radio.and the my files manager seems complex.
I have a gps app called Osmand from my old note and the maps where on the sd card but it doesn't seem to find it.
In fact only my music and photos where recognized none of the data or backups where recognized.
I'm using nova launcher but the touch wiz is real fast now .
Screen is great too early to tell about battery .
Haven't tested the camera yet .
But one bug thing for me exchange active sync is white and Grey now much better to see.
The one thing that has left a bad taste is the back ups I used my back up pro to my memory card plus even nova back up couldn't be found but Kies has to be rewriten.
Please ask any questions and I'll try to help as I still have my old note.
Also my bookmarks didn't come over using the standard samsung browser en en though it's synced.
Sorry if this post is disjointed just wanted to update you all

Its been abt 12 hours I m using Note 3 and have been a user of Note 2 also the speakers are better then Note 2
Plus its placed beside charging point which is very good and the sound is very clear unlike Note 2 where keeping it on a table blocks the sound and makes it choppy
I loved the Keyboard its superb
Over all the device is very fast not lagged even once so far half the Ram free if all apps are closed
The Touch is very responsive and the screen is flat
One more thing this device is not for some one who wants more flexiblty as its little big and ideal if used with 2 hands

Out of Curiosity I tried with Dolphin v10 and adobe flash player it did not work
only first page opens but flash content does not work and asks for flash player

I used the same Version from Adobe site only not working
As far as I know we need the modded Apk for JB as flash player was dead Post ics but modded was only working

Strange it loads fine for me on my unrooted Sony Z1 with that apk.

Jeez, I cannot believe we still live in an era where native browser support does not have flash capabilities ... this will be rather sad coming from the HTC One that I have had stolen from me which had its native browser load flash FLAWLESSLY and without ANY lag ANYWHERE within the Sense UI or otherwise....
