Does it seem to get abnormally hot? Try a factory reset. Could always try rooting and installing a custom rom.

call dropping with tmobile nl

Hi Guys,
I have been a proud owner of my hd2 for more than a year now.
I love the phone with android. However my issue is.
When I have some1 on the line at random I cannot hear then for about 2 to 3 seconds. And this happens at random within a call numerous times within the same calll. This is ONLY with android. Tried different builds and radios and no go. Tried the new 3 second fix and that ONLY fixed the 3 seconds when I pick up.
This has been going on to long and I dont want another phone and i stuck with it.
but now its VERY annoying. Can ANybody PLEASE HELP??

Ive been having the same issue..also alot of static and in an out conversations.

I'm sure we're not the only once. Somebody has to have had this and fixed it. Works good on. Wm.but Wm sucks. Can someone help??

well i have kind of the same problem with tmobile nl
(typhoon android)
when i get called i am not able to hear them and the outher way .. and i have to restart the phone to actualy make or recieve a call again and this just happens randomly..

same thing happened to me this morning, just got my HD2 yesterday, and of course happens when I get a call from my boss who's pro iphone, and loves to bash android, so I've been hearing drooooiiiiidd from him all day
Does it matter what rom? I'm on nexus one ported ginger bread 2.7t

DSL/landline

So I have ran into a problem...I recently moved to the top of a mountain to work and don't have cell signal..the place I'm living at has wireless modem and everything bit its apparently DSL combined with land line for whole apartment complex..I had a Microcell hooked up and it worked great..but the people that installed the system came and unhooked it saying it was messing with the phone line because of the combo system..
My question is if this is true or did I just have it hooked up wrong to where I messed the land lines up?...any help would be greatly appreciated

No 3G Connection after Liquid 3.0 Install

OK, well, I need help on my wife's DX.
Problem: No 3G / Data Connection (WiFi Works fine)
Cause: Yesterday I SBF'd .621 to .604 through RSD. This was bad because I flashed over baseband and radio.
I managed to re-flash .621 stock VZW build and then use the Linux boot method to flash back to .604 and root. I have Liquid Smooth 3.0 loaded for my wife and it runs great, wifi works, and all accounts and apps are set up, but I have no 3g data connection. I show 3 bars and a full battery. I have *228 + 1 and *228 + 2 and rebooted multiple times and nothing.
Advice?

What is your baseband version?

OK ALL IS WELL
Had to call Verizon to have them refresh the "signal".

Follow up: i forgot to mention that i just straight up told the verizon tier 2 tech that i rooted my wifes phone and installed liquid gingerbread. Once he knew that it was easy for him to do his business on his side. Honesty is always the best policy.

[Q] Change Phone ID

Is it possible to change the ID of a Droid X to fool Verizon into thinking it's a dumb phone? My wife is considering upgrading to a smartphone for the first time and I want her to be able to try it out using WiFi only for a while first. Any help would be appreciated.

Unsure on what you mean by dumb? I have a Droid X, no service, I use it on Wi-Fi all the time and as an mp3 player. You could do the same putting it in Airplane mode and turning Wi-Fi on.

She has a "feature" phone now to make calls and texts from. I would like to activate the X for her to be able to call and text from, just not pay for data yet.

It's impossible. The DROID X has a built in 3g sim. While most feature phones have a built in 2g sim. Verizon does have a prepay plan. I would look into that but for simple testing purposes, you can just reset the phone and skip setup.
