What's the point if you end up with shorter display?
Also CM10 has this feature in build.

People who want can follow this. Its just a matter of choice.
CM10 forzenpika build doesnt succesfully open nav bar. For it i had to write on build.prop
-Rik[Rittik]

How about Aurora?
Sent from my U8800-51

I have only started modding status bar but cant get any color combinations in mind... what should be the colour below? The 15 toggles look good!
How to change the colour of the tabs?? Whenever I change the colour in framework it leads to FC's
Thanks for your help guys!
Tab pngs in framework-res and twframework-res .. you should be aware on how to edit .9.pngs.
If I am not mistaken you need to:
1. Decompile your app.
2. Edit your .9.png with gimp or photoshop.
3. Use the .9.png editor that came with android sdk to verify your changes.
4. Recompile your app.
5. Test and repeat if necessary.
Correct me if I am wrong.

The fcs are coming from wrongly made .9 pngs.Like i said before, dont touch the dark lines and dots which determine the content and stretchable area.Cut of the part which you want to modify, make modifications and merge it with the surrounding lines again.Like bumslayer said, you can use draw9patch tool from sdk.But that's an extremely time consuming process. It'll let you convert any png to .9 patch png but only one at a time.
Here's what I use: xUltimate-D9PC
This one "compiles" the .9.png files. All you have to do now is drag them to the res/drawable-ldpi folder of the apk without even decompiling the app with apktool. Easy, no?
And yes, you can thank me now (credits to the original poster, of course).
So hell_lock, bro. Did xUltimate-d9pc work for you?

Remove toggles text/names

Could someone give me instructions to remove the text/name under the toggles of status bar?
remove the text in strings.xml
then go to the quick_panel_settings.xml
in the line for text change all values to 0.0dpi.
do not change the value for the buttons.

Ok, I need to modify strings.xml in lidroid-res.apk, with blank spaces in each string line, for example:
<string name="quickpanel_vibration_text"></string>
Then I go to quickpanel_quick_settings in SystemUI.apk and change "android:textSize="13.0dip" to "android:textSize="0.0dip"
Isn't it?
yes.
change all the numeric value in com.android.systemui.xxxx in quickpanel_quick_settings.xml to zero.
but if doesn't work it is because you have lidroid's 14toggles.
i haven't explored that thing yet.

Yes, I have 14 toggles and doesn't work.
try to open lidroid-res.apk and find it in layout and do the same thing.
in lidroid-res you need to change the height of the framelayout with id "power_widget_button" in res/layout/power_widget_button.xml to 40.0dip, then open apktool.yml and add " - 2" under ids (just copy the text between the quotes).
if not already done, install framework-res.apk then recompile lidroid-res and push it to /system/framework with permissions 644
-edit- sorry, quoted wrong person, quote removed

Don't have to mod Touchwiz launcher. Just need to edit floating_message.xml as I posted. Theme option will be enabled even for stock loliilop touchwiz launcher.
For icon, we have to modify some smali file in framework.jar.
Here is the link to moded one:
dropbox.com /s/fzy52pd5xoj39s1/framework%5B1%5D.jar?dl=0
You can decompile it, copy smali files in smali/sec/samsung/android/theme to your framework file then recompile your one.

Don't have to mod Touchwiz launcher. Just need to edit floating_message.xml as I posted. Theme option will be enabled even for stock loliilop touchwiz launcher.
For icon, we have to modify some smali file in framework.jar.

Hi
after this great win, many thanks for your help, can yoy help us with 2 more mysteries?
1 - how can we have UPSM without the bug of phone ( no sound in call with UPSM):
http://forum.xda-developers.com/gal...t/upsm-emergency-mode-n9005-lollipop-t3007743
2 - Can we have private mode?
I enabled the toggle, but is not possible to activate:
9- Camera: 2nd version
- No limitations on low battery (New feature)
Photo Mode:
- Uncompressed photos
Video Mode:
- No time limit in 4K mode (but limited yet to 4GB per file, so, the limit in time with this bitrate is 8m47s)
- Slightly increased bitrate:
- 65Mbit 4k (not 50Mbit) - (Default 48Mbit)
- 44Mbit 1080/60p - (Default 28Mbit)
- 22Mbit 1080/30p - (Default 14Mbit)
- 192Kbit audio - (Default 128 Kbit)
