Would anyone be able to put together a Power Menu Mod with "reboot and download" options? Or mainly the reboot option, I constantly swap my SIM between my tab and phone and either device needs to reboot in order to read the SIM. I don't want to download any ROMS that have this option at this time. I did try one from one of the members here but did not work and he stopped supporting it. Bellow is my tabs info. Your assistance would be greatly appreciated. I will assist in everyway I can.

I thought asking for a Power Menu Mod would be a development question, since someone needs to develop it.

its already been developed... just need to look thru the threads...
flash the custom rom by sk806 (deodexed) or use the one by ezynow (probably odex version)
you can find the corresponding thread in the dev section

IF you === rooted --->quick boot in market is free and even faster. power menu options go through samsungs shut down animation. With quick boot you can put an icon on your home screen, 1 touch and your there in ~ 3 second flat.
or fire up terminal and type $su
# reboot
or # reboot bootloader
not sure if bootloader reboot is supported on every device.

I swap my AT&T sim card quite a bit too between the gNote and the 7.7..
The GNote's battery has to be pulled to get to the sim...
and the 7.7 automatically re-boots itself when the sim is inserted (if already on)
And when the sim is removed from the 7.7 (if already on).. still works fine except for the phone.. so no need to re-boot.
good luck with your project.
Im happy with the auto-re-boot feature on the 7.7
I was hoping to get this too. I use the quickboot for now, but I get this weird ticking sound from the speakers on every reboot. But when I use the power menu built into noob rom I dont get that sound. Weird

Strange. I get the ticking sound on reboot, and reboot to recovery. I also downloaded a simple reboot widget and it happens with it also. But I never hear it if I use the stock power off, power on options. Or when using the power menu mod that was built into nOObrOm.

Of course you should. P1010 doesn't have nothing new for test, play or enjoy. That two people that said 'no' is probabily P1000 user, they have a LOT of roms.

Go into Recovery mode, navigate to "mounts and storage" and format
/cache
/data
/system
/datadata
Now start the standard procedure again of installing STOCK KPO and after the ROM

Re: [ROM][GalaxyTab P1010][WIFI] JBROM FINAL V1.0 - New Notifications and more
I would like to use your ROM, but I didn't proceed because when I root my tab with the cwm kpi firmware, the wifi stops working.
I tried copying the wifi folder from the kpi firmware to the kpo after I had rooted but didn't work well.
Is normal, the wifi doesn't work?
Will it return to work after restoring the NANDROID_JBROM_V10_BK201EKY.rar?
Thanks

Yeah, I'm running into the same problem.
What Rom are you running, and does it only happen under certain conditions?
I'm running
LiquidSmooth Rom (4.2.2 - It seems super stable, only 2 total problems with it)
CodeFireX .62 or .64, I don't remember
NOS Tweak Package v0.4.5_r1 (was having same problems before this; it actually improved my battery life somehow )
HTC MyTouch 4g/Glacier (Obviously, since I'm posting here, but I figured I'd say so just in case)
Anyways, the problem I'm running into is that I can't get the backlight to stay off after locking the phone.
I lock it, then after ~7seconds the backlight comes back on.
Also, this has happened on each 4.2.x rom I've tried
I read somewhere that messing with the settings/app killers can help, but no change from that. I've also tried setting my backlight to all the way off, as well as full, and the brightness doesn't change while the screen is off.
I can try to make a LogCat of it later, though.

Ehh, I am too really - everyone's gotta start somewhere though!
Anyways, what it means is that you can't just take the nos_whatever.zip file and flash it from the recovery, you have to actually open the app called Terminal Emulator (can be found on the market, needs root) and install it from there.
The instructions on how are all in the readme inside the .zip file, just follow those and you'll be fine.

I was having the same 2 issues beforehand (Backlight coming on while the phone is locked, and cell signal dropping after I miss a call until I turn airplane mode on->off)
Also, I noticed that at least in my case my phone seems much less likely to turn the backlight back on if I'm not doing anything in the background such as listening to music. I'm pretty sure that's only been working today though, not sure why...

Ok, I may do just that. Will backing up and restoring what I have with TitaniumBackup break anything, so I don't have to reinstall everything?
Also, what're the advantages of 4ext recovery over clockwork?
Thanks!

Anyways, I just did a full system wipe (each of CWM's wipes, as well as the DarkUnicorn wipe script ((since it was on my SdCard already)) but I'm still having the backlight issue.
Haven't even installed a single app yet; still trying to connect to the store to get TitaniumBackup.
Any other ideas?
PS) Still planning on making a LogCat, not sure if it'll help though

Also, back on the topic of this thread, are there any fixes for 4.2 roms turning the backlight back on after being locked?
It's a huge battery drain, and my biggest problem at the moment; any ideas would be most appreciated
lol actually I found out the problem. After I extracted it, ES File Explorer made a folder on my sdcard called "sdcard" with the install file in it. And I was stupid and ignored the fact that it should be on the root of the sdcard. Whoops lol.

I seem to like the stock ROM the best but would love to be able to theme it a little... specifically like the soft key color, always on menu key, time color, battery icon... could I pull the systemui.apk from a ROM uninstall the stock rename it to .bak place the one pulled from the ROM where it goes install that one and be able to accomplish what I'm looking to do?
