Hi, I have a problem (wich I had with SGS2 too).
Everytime I try to download a file from sites like uploaded.to the download finishes instantly with a 0 byte size file.
Is it chrome? or some incompatibility on those sites?
I've also tried Chrome beta but the same happens...
Anybody with same issue?
Thanks

yup....all mobile browsers I've tried fail with uploaded.to. rapidgator's another one I can't use. what's strange, though is that if you tether and download the file on your desktop/laptop it works fine. I've tried switching user agent and everything. nothing has worked for me yet.
if you find anything that works (especially with uploaded and rapidgator) I'd love to know
What about other browsers?

EDIT: I solved this by re-flashing the CSC found here and then installing Download Crutch again.
Someone having similar problem? I've googled myself exhausted, but neither Astro, Androzip, Download Crutch or a different browser seems to do it. Every zip file I download carry the size of 59 bytes and is useless. Anything do to with my specific FW, JM5, perhaps?
Does it do it on all sites, or only sites similar to rapidshare?
Just tested Rapid and Mediafire, no luck. Damn, if I'm alone on this one.
No.. I mean, try sites which aren't those kind..
Which Firmware you using?
Ah, sorry, but the answer is still no. I'm using JM5 from samsung-firmwares. Thanks btw for trying helping me out.

I have no problems unless it's certain filehosts. Filesonic doesn't work for me, but megashare, megaupload do. Direct links always work.
Use firefox, firefox beta or even opera browsers. They will all let you download practically anything. Even from sites like filesonic or whatever else you can throw at them. It appears that the stock browser, dolphin, and a few others are based on a certain type of tech that limits these types of capabilities.
Quite a few sites I use have images that don't load since I switched to thor's rom. I had this problem on stock before switching to taboonay now have it again on thor. Sites like football365 have a lotof images that don't load with either an android upside down saying webpage cannot be loaded or a little blue box with a ?
I've been through every browser on the market and it's always the same. Anyone any ideas on what's going wrong? I don't want to switch roms again (loving the speed of thor)
Seems no-one else has this problem then? Must be some kind of hex on me then.
Hi,
Only thing I've had a similar problem with is when I installed some ad blocking software which modified the host file. Once I uninstalled it and copied my original host file back, the problem was resolved.

I had the same problem too and did the same thing but this seems to be something else. I flashed my nandroid backup of taboonay 2.2 and no problems now so definitely a problem with thor rom. Pity I really liked that rom.
Thanks for the suggestion.

Strange, I'm using Thor's ROM and images load just fine for me.

That's what has me so confused. I haven't heard of this issue in any of the threads relating to thor's rom. I've flashed quite a few roms and none have had this problem except when I was using the ad block app. I'm sure it's nothing I have done as I did a full wipe (as always) before flashing and didn't touch the settings at all.
Anyway as I said I'm back on taboonay now until the next version of thor is released then I'll give it another shot. I'm not giving up just yet. I love thor's roms
On the Thor's rom the images and animations of advertising are locked so that the page will load faster, this is done from the hosts file redirecting to 127.0.0.1 advertising pages, you can edit the host file and delete the entries that redirect 127.0.0.1 for that advertising images are loaded, but that will make the pages take more time.

Ok didn't know that. Will look into how I can do it thanks.
This is a solution for: AdAway previously worked and now it does not work as reliable as before anymore.
This is not a solution for: AdAway does not work.
As I`ve seen much more ads recently (>0) than usual (0), I took a look at the AdAway app and realized that one of the main host lists, namely https://host-file.net/ad_servers.txt, is not being downloaded by AdAway for whatever reason. The file is accessible e.g. from a PC.
While I don`t see any option in AdAway to include a local hosts file, you can always add other sources from the internet. I found Steven Black`s lists (https://github.com/StevenBlack/hosts) to be quite good. Adding the "Unified hosts + fakenews + gambling + porn + social" list (in "Raw Format") (https://raw.githubusercontent.com/S...lternates/fakenews-gambling-porn-social/hosts) removed all the ads that previously made it through.
Hope this alternative (heck, it`s not even a workaround!) will help somebody else.
No luck
Thanks for the tip.
I entered the 2 links on ad-away but it doesn't seem to be updating from them.
Please see attachment.
I have initiated "Download files and apply ad blocking" several times after that to no avail.
Another manually entered file (http://sbc.io/hosts/hosts) updates OK.
All the files are available online through a PC computer !
What is the problem ?

Sorted mine switched to magisk and used the above host in adaway.
No so useful..
Blocking lots of stuff on twitter
You can fix this just by going into the hosts list and change it to http instead of https.

Thanks for the advice, interesting. Still prefer to have https for where ever I can use it, so far Steven's host list works really well for me.
Guys u can use MoaAB. It works perfectly here.

All Adaway hosts are up and working again as you can see on my screenshot,so no need for any fix.
The problem could be something wrong with you're setup, not AdAway!
I added these two hosts . It was brilliant as it gave me more battery, but unfortunately it blocked FB and instagram from my phone.
Over the last week I have tried several (6+) times to download NPJS25.93-14-13 from Android File Host without success. The farthest it has gone is about 75% with 20%- to 25% being typical. It will then stop with the error "Download interrupted" even though there is no other task or program running on my PC. Though I have recently built a new PC and swapped it with my old one, I have no issues downloading from any other site and have downloaded several gigabytes of files over the last few days. I do not know if it is limited to rajatgupta1998's AFH folder or if it is a problem with any AFH folder. I finally set up my old PC and copied the file from my hard drive on that PC.
Anyhow, has anybody else experienced this issue?
@pastorbob62 that's strange... I can download without issues even from the farthest mirror. Did you tried other mirrors?

Yup! I tried every mirror available at the time. I also tried downloading Lineage 15 from AFH with the same results. And I have no problem at all downloading from other sites all over the internet. Maybe it's a USA thing? I dunno.
AFH has this server problem. i had to download files at 100 kbps, whereas downloading from another sites it's 1 mbps-2mbps
Try using http://savetodrive.net/
You can save any file directly to Google Drive.
I use it all the time.
Please let me know if you need any further assistance.
