I have an old Galaxy Nexus USB Wall Charger - Specification:
Input AC 100-240V ~50/60Hz 0.15A
Output 5V-1A
The charger that came with my Nexus 4 has the following Specification:
Input AC 100-240V ~50/60Hz 0.2A
Output 5V-1.2A
Can I use the Galaxy Nexus one to charge Nexus 4 without any compatibility Issue?
yes, shouldn't be a problem
Generally most micro USB chargers are interchangeable, the only difference between them will be the rate of charging, due to the difference in charge in amperes

I've got my note today and the charger has output 5V and 1.0A
My galaxy s charger has 5V and 0.7A
Can I charge the galaxy note with the galaxy s charger? I know it will take longer but beside the charging time is there any other downside? can i damage my battery?
thx for help
I think you might mess up your battery stats if you used the galaxy s one first, but i think if you do the first 5 chargers from flat to 100% to get them right no reason why you couldn't use the galaxy s one. After all usb charging is slightly less output than mains.
thx alex

I use my GS charger most of the time
I dont notice much difference in charging time.
ONLY charging time is the diffrence. most noticable if gameing, navigating or streaming music via 3G+bt at the same time.
Okay, let me start off by saying that I am complete noob when it comes to electrical matters, so excuse the silly question here...
I have found a USB powered QI charger for the Nexus 4 on eBay with an input of 5V and an output of 5V/1A. Two questions following from that...
1) Will the charge time be the same as if I just charged via USB?
2) Instead of connecting the USB end to my PC, could I not connect it to supplied Nexus 4 wall charger? If so, does it specs comply with those of the QI charger I just mentioned (i.e. will I get a fast charge time?)
Thanks in advance for the support.

Expect the charge times to be more compared to the Usb charger.. It can be ordered on fasttech.com for $40. Yes.. usb powered.. The AC adapter one on fasttech is $35.. All hav free shipping!!!!!
ii) That would depend on how much power the wireless charger needs.. The normal nexus 4 adapter is 1.2A.. If the wireless charger wants 1.5A, it will be slower due to less power... but since it is USB powered.. normal pc/laptop usb ports give 0.5A so your original nexus 4 adapter will be fine!!!!
Also.. wirless charging tends to heat up the phone sometimes.. so watch your temps..
I have the Energizer Qi charger and they warn that the Nexus supplied wall charger should not be used to power the WiFi charger. It doesn't have the power capacity to run the wireless charger.

The cahrging rate is almost the same
The power requirment for this charger is 5v 2A input. According to my test, as long as your power supply stay above 1A output, you will have no problem at all, just will charge a little bit slower. but once I hooked up with a samsung charger that was rated at 700ma, the red light goes on after a beep. The problem is, most of the usb chargers in the market are overrated that's why you will get red light on with these inferior charger. I purchased mine from a seller on eBay called gadgetsalon who included a original HP Touchpad adapter with my purchase which is fully rated 2A output, I have been using mine for almost 2 months now never had a single problem ever with my Tmobile GS3. BTW, I charge my phone with a ballistic case on all the time.

I tried charging my Note 3 with a Nexus 4 charging adapter, which is rated at 5V 1.2A both input and output. But according to the Galaxy Charging Current app, the Note 3 is charging at 1.2A while the screen is on and 1.8A when the screen is off. So does this mean that the app reading is incorrect? Because this would be a correct reading if I were using my 2A Samsung adapter but it wouldn't make sense for the Nexus 4 adapter. Or is the Nexus 4 charger actually providing 1.8A even though it says 1.2A on the charger?
Hi,
I bought a QI Wireless Charger for my Nexus 4. It came with a plug that has 2.4A output. Is that too much for the Nexus 4 battery? If so, should I hook it up to a plug that as 1A max output? I don't know if I will wear out that battery too fast if I use the 2.4A output. Thank you.

Hi folks,
I happened to have lost my original charger for Samsung Galaxy Note 3, and all I have now is the USB cable. For emergency purposes, I need to charge my phone and it doesn't charge fast connecting to a PC. I do have an adapter for Samsung Galaxy S4.
Is it OK to use the USB cable on Samsung Galaxy S4 Adapter and charge my device? Or will there be a problem?
My phone battery is a 3.8 V Li-ion and 12.16 Wh
The Galaxy S4 adapter shows an output value of 5.0 V and 2.0 A

Thanks!

If that's hard ... can anyone holding a Galaxy Note 3 please post your output value mentioned on the original adapter?

It should be fine, most wall charges are fine. If you want faster charging you can make a charge only cable (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zwKCXJc1iTc) and it will always charge at max speed. While this isn't good for your PC, it works perfectly for car chargers.
Any 5MV charger will work perfectly.
The official Note 3 charger is 5.3V - 2A, so using a 5V adapter will be fine, just a bit slower.
I use my old HD2 and S3 charger half the time.
using a 2A charger will be fine. 1A charger need double of the time

Hi,
I tested various chargers and usb cables, including the normal micro usb from the older devices, most of them works like a charm
Including my old OTG dongle (usb 2.0), I didn't yet compare the speed difference between both...

buy any chinese charger man it'll be a gud alternate for d original one
You can use pretty much anything.
I charge my Note 3 with the original one (5.3v/2A), I charge it with a Note 2 charger (5.0v/2A) and I charge it with an old Nokia charger (don't recall voltage but it is 0.8A). It will just charge slower, but otherwise works perfectly.
battery problem
recently I've bought a galaxy tab s 8.4 , but take too mach time (about 6 hours) to charging with it's stock charger (5.3 v , 2.0 A) , when i charged with note 4 charger (5 v , 2.0 A) , it charged normal (about 2.5 hours)
now i have two questions :
1. the note 4 charger is suitable for my device ? isn't bad for battery life ?
2.is it possible that the stock charger was fake !!!???
