i have made a collection of many tweaks more, my old tweaks work but i dont have my tablet to test this, i think this tweaks should work, some are sound tweaks, other are battery and speed tweaks and some others are net and some system tweaks.
this tweaks arent flashable, some are really good tweaks, but i dont know if this tweaks works in the kindle fire hd, because are init.d tweaks and no a recovery or a system file if this fail is easy to get back reflashing system.
instructions
1.download them from the link below
2.put them on you kindle fire hd sdcard
3.extract them
4.copy init.d folder files and paste them in /system/etc/init.d
5.set permision to all files in init.d to rwxrwxrwx
6.reboot
Have a happy tweaking
one thing, please, when you try this tweaks, post all, the bugs, if one not work or anything, or send me a private message
anyone tested this?
I will test them when I come home. In about 6-8 hrs.
I'm testing it
I downloaded the file this morning and I am testing it now. It installed fine and the system rebooted properly. So far so good. I will keep performing various tasks and continue to monitor how it goes! Thank you for your tweaks I have noticed a difference in the way my KFHD responds now it seems a lot snappier than it was out the box. :good:

good!, so they work, ok, when i get my tablet i will modify them, then add them to my tweaks so my tweaks will be more complete. tested audio? any difference?
that tweaks are the future, not old tweaks, very new tweaks that were made by some developers that i asked to take them, so if they work i think all tweaks must work
use this tweaks with my other tweaks, and see if work. and tell me if it is more faster
for a faster device install chainfire 3d, mine fps in the soldier test went to 59 one time with it!

Yes I have your other tweaks installed as well and it does make my device faster. I ran a Antutu benchmark a few minutes ago my score went from 6973 to 7058 after installing this tweak and Chainfire 3D ! I have to step away for a moment Im going to watch some Netflix and tryout Shadowgun to test the sound quality to see if there is a difference! This is great so far!

I was on here last night and downloaded your other tweaks. Yes I'm subscribed to the other post so I get an email when its updated. I saw this post this morning so I'm just now playing around with them. Actually I downloaded them again because I saw where it said updated but I had originally downloaded and installed last night or yesterday evening!

the performance is better with these tweaks or the same, any battery drain ?
use kinology rom + my tweaks = lighting, he fixes some errors, my tweaks too, so no more errors. its very good, test that rom with my tweaks
redownload, new version, i have deleted some tweaks that i had better in my persano´s tweaks, this is more heavy because some tweaks were updated for 1024 mb ram devices like this! redownload, now its compatible with all ram values thanks to the new update
then, i will make no a init.d and build prop tweak pack, i will make a full tweak pack with xbin bin and some etc tweaks, and others tweak too but i need my tablet to make them
and future tweaks that load modules, yeah i found how, but i have to try

So far so good on the battery drain I will let you know right now I have it charging once it is full I will test and see how long it lasts during use/sleep etc. I have not did the tutorial on installing the 2nd boot loader as of yet but will try it in the future then I will check out the Custom ROM once I have done that! Thanks again!

redownload again please, the new version its even better , and yeah, that rom is very good
when i get my tablet, more tweaks will be added and some removed, so performance will be better, and rpengine will remplace mpengine, that is even faster!
if want to test if this drain battery, here you have a better build prop, this one have some increase dalvik values so its even faster, what version are you using of kindle fire hd?
search for this values
dalvik.vm.heapstartsize=8m
dalvik.vm.heapgrowthlimit=48m
dalvik.vm.heapsize=68m
these values repeat two times
change the values, they have to see like this (all the lines with this value, there are 2 lines in build.prop with the same, some change the 2!)
dalvik.vm.heapstartsize=10m
dalvik.vm.heapgrowthlimit=50m
dalvik.vm.heapsize=100m
and see if battery draining is higher, if not, i will remplace my old values with it and reupload my tweaks (persano´s tweaks)
the new version that is coming is going to have some bug fixes and adrenaline boost, if you dont want to use adrenaline boost simply dont type
su
boost
in terminal emulator.
and i will add adrenaline engine! yeah, rpengine + adrenaline engine = AIRCRAFT ENGINE xD
really, its very good, when i get my tablet i will make it, i pray that my tablet dont burn with this xD
test if that build.prop tweaks make the device faster, run bechmarck and run games, and tell me if the battery drains faster please
man, do you tested it

Sorry to jump threads on you, I didn't want to clog up CondemnedSoul's thread with questions/comments specifically about this script....
After loading & rebooting, I didn't notice any problems. The phone seems a bit snappier with this in general, although I still haven't tested the incoming calls thoroughly yet. I am running this script on Comndemned v17 S2h in combination with the v6 SuperCharger, and the 3G & Kernel Tweaks. Based on a recommendation from CS, I also modified the following line in the build.prop from
ro.telephony.call_ring.delay=500
to
ro.telephony.call_ring.delay=0
I haven't noticed any conflicts or issues yet, but I wouldn't necessarily classify myself as a heavy user.
I have another question for you. Since it was easy enough to modify the CPU speed, if I change the governor in the following line
GOVERNOR_SCALE="ondemand";
to smartass so that it will match my CM7 performance settings, will that cause any issues? Does this script need to be set to ondemand in order to work correctly?

That shouldn't cause any issues at all. It should just default your governor to smartass instead of ondemand.

I don't think matching it matters so much as it is set to RUN the the CPU speed set 1 time on start up be for cm7 sets it's speed. CM7 looks like it will override it after it's booted. So even if you load the 710MHZ ver and have cm7 set at 600mhz it will drop to 600 after cm7 is fully loaded.
I think there may be a conflict between this script & zeppelin's v6 supercharger. I had 3 screen redraws today for the first time in ages. When I was using the supercharger by itself, I had no problems.
I removed the 00tweaks & rebooted for now.

I have been testing it with and without supercharger and it seems fine for me. However it be nice if we can just make a new script for just rintone lag so there will be no conflicts at will even if your just OC with CPUboost.
I think we will see soon DEV apping just the phone LAG stuff into there ROMS. This way we can just boost or OC with any other apps or scripts.
I don't think they are playing well. I don't usually use the super charger script, but had applied multi tasker setting after a few apps were killed by system that I wanted running in background. First, I notice extremely poor battery life - some service kept the phone awake all night so it didn't fully charge. This also happened yesterday with xda app, but don't know what did it last night. Also, notice that the super charger minfree values did not stick, so the 00tweaks must over ride them at startup. I was having the background app problem before the tweaks, so I suspect that the super charger kernel tweaks conflict with the 00tweaks. Undid both for now
Sent from my ERIS using XDA App
Getting rid of the 00Tweaks seems to have solved my screen redraw issue for the moment. I was also having some issues with lag after leaving certain apps, and that is gone too.

Maybe it the laucher or the ROM your on mine is working great, But has also been the same with or without supercharger is I do not get redraws or any teaking. I am Runing worksheds last release 3.8 and it is working great. I never use ADW so can't tell you if it is that or not. As if I test or use a rom and it has ADW or any other lanucher on it I always add lancher pro on it and resign the rom befor I even install it.
Maybe you can talk to TAZZ811 on the like from the OP. and see if he can help use out with just the phone lag tweak with no mem or kernals tweaks. Thats what I think we need.
I am sicking with it on my phone I hate missing calls And with this tweak my phone lights right up with the caller ID and it's ringing just as the 2nd ring starts. I hope others try this out and see if they get the same thing.
It maybe as easy as just removing or #out the kernal and mem tweaks on the script.
The 00tweaks universal script does a lot of things I'd rather control elsewhere or not muck with. So, I isolated the portion of the script that pertains to the ring lag. I pushed the attached file to the init.d folder.make sure you remove the .txt part. No adverse effects that I notice yet. Phone sounds on the second ring. Good luck.

Since Best Buy lowered the price of the Galaxy Tab p1010 (wi-fi only) for a short time following the HP Fire Sale fiasco, a lot of people have purchased this tablet. I did, but not because of the HP Touchpad, but because I wanted a 7" tablet that was fully functional (i.e., GPS, camera, Android Market, etc.) at a decent price. All of my area Best Buys sold out within a week, and most had at least 10 units in stock. Anyway, I knew the limitations of this tablet when I purchased it and I knew it would never be as fast as my old Captivate since it did not have the Hummingbird processor and the SGX540 GPU and no support from Samsung. I did however want to make it as fast and functional as I could, and with the wonderful screen and clean lines, it was one of my favorite picks. It took some time and some testing (and without a firmware backup, a little stressful at times). Here is what I have tried, and luckily with some success. I have compiled this information from other threads. I know this is an older tablet and a lot of this has already been discussed, I just wanted to have one place with all of the tweaks available for the wi-fi only version for others to review and try.
EVERYTHING HERE IS VERY RISKY AND NOT RECOMMENDED FOR AVERAGE USERS. I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY BRICKS THAT MAY OCCUR FROM TRYING ANY OF THESE TWEAKS. I HAVE PERSONALLY TESTED ALL OF THESE TWEAKS ON MY P1010 AND THEY HAVE WORKED WITHOUT FAILURE, BUT THAT DOES NOT MEAN THEY WILL WORK ON YOUR P1010. PLEASE FOLLOW ALL THE DIRECTIONS THAT ARE INCLUDED IN THESE LINKED THREADS AND READ, READ, READ.
Z4 Root: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=833953
I used Z4 Root to successfully root my tablet. It took two tries, with the first one just hanging up and doing nothing. I held the power button down until it shut off and then restarted it. Tried a second time and had success.
OCLF 2.3: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=784691
Coming from the Captivate, I remembered that One-Click Lag Fix (OCLF) did wonders for my phone early in the 2.1 days. I installed this app and followed the directions. The first time it failed and I had to do the same thing - hold power button down until it powered off and then restart. On the second try it worked well and I successfully installed the EXT2 files and applied the lag fix. OCLF will let you change the scheduler to NOOP or CFQ (the default). The other schedulers do not appear to be supported. I am currently trying out NOOP, but it seems to have some issues when you have a lot going on in the background. I'll update this post after I try it out for a little bit. One note with OCLF, if you have any apps installed on your external SD Card, you will need to move them back to the phone so OCLF can apply the lagfix.
OK, so getting haptic feedback to work using OCLF - well, it's not without its own problems. You can undo Lagfix 2.0+, reboot and apply Lagfix 1.1, which is the last option under OCLF I think. Now, running 1.1 doesn't really affect anything except it is nearly impossible to undo it. 1.1 somehow deletes your playlogos1 file and when you use OCLF to restore the file, it renames it to playlogosnow. Using Root Explorer, you can rename playlogosnow to playlogos1, but make sure you are renaming the right file (the smaller one). It was a big hassle to get back to the point where I could undo 1.1 and go back to 2.0. 1.1 also deletes your boot-up screen (assume that is the original playlogos1 file), but I returned it to Best Buy the other day after completely returning it back to stock and they didn't give me any problems.
Set CPU (from XDA for registered users): http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=505419
Using SetCPU, I upped the low end to 600mhz and kept the upper end at 1000mhz. I did set a profile for when the screen was off to keep the low end at 300mhz and the upper end at 600mhz to save on battery. I also changed the scaling to ondemand, which seems to make everything a little smoother.
Fugu Tweaks: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=981125
OK, the Fugu Tweaks are the one mod that I made that I didn't really see any performance improvements. When these became available, most of the devs in the Captivate section applied these tweaks to their 2.2 ROMs and there was some noticeable improvements with several launchers. On the P1010, screen transitions seemed a little smoother with Launcher Pro, but I didn't really see anything different with Go Launcher. I extracted the files from the CWM download and used Root Explorer to replace them under the /system/bin folder (read the OP in the link to make sure you place in the right location). Before replacing them, I made a copy of the original files (renamed to xxxx.copy) so I would have a backup. This is critical since there is no firmware backup for the P1010. When you reboot your tablet, the boot animation will be blank, so don't panic. Also, some apps will not work right with these tweaks - Quadrant is one of them. I don't know why, but it will just go blank and restart. I removed the tweaks and Quadrant worked fine.
Chainfire 3D: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1087427
Chainfire 3D is supposed to improve your graphics. I never saw any real improvement when running Quadrant - the spinning earth/moon still looked horrible and choppy. Since most videos play smoothly on the tab without this tweak, I cannot say definitively whether or not this tweak improves performance or not. I did not see any changes in Quadrant or SmartBench 2011. It is a very finicky app and breaks several apps, including several games. I think it has to do with the resolution of the tab being at 1024x600 (or whatever it is) versus being 800x480.
V6 Supercharger scripts - I didn't have a chance to really test these out. I managed to get them installed and running, but altering memory free settings kept breaking some of my news widgets.
Other - you can use SGS Tools from the Market to alter your build.prop settings (you can use any number of programs to do this too, but SGS Tools is easy to use). If you turn on Stagefright (media player only), you can bump up your Quadrant scores to 2100. This doesn't really mean anything as it is an inflated score, but still interesting to see it.
I currently have z4root, OCLF and SetCPU running on my P1010, since those are the ones that seem to have some performance improvements. I get 1600-1700 on Quadrant and about the same scores on SmartBench as the original Droid X (800 something and 1500 something). Nenamark 1 gets me about 21fps. This tab is definitely useable and I only wanted something to surf the web and play some games on the side. NOVA from Gameloft does work on the P1010 and works well (picked it up during the Labor Day sale). Angry Birds plays well, but Angry Birds Rio has some hangups when it first starts (but then again, my Atrix does too sometimes).

If you feel like I have helped you and want to click "Thanks" go ahead and do so. But it doesn't really matter to me. I just wanted to get this information out to others.
Thanks for this post. I have also recently purchased this device at Best Buy.
I used SuperOneClick to root without issue.
I used OCLF and also used the "Change Scheduler" option with recommended settings and tweaks.
I set the dpi to 182 with lcddensity. Setttings didn't initially survive reboot. I don't know how I eventually got them to stick. Just kept hitting apply and rebooting until the setting held. Still sometimes resets to 240. Edited /system/build.prop with ES File Explorer. While I was doing that, I went ahead and changed the default Timezone to my own. Seemed easy enough and the screen is more to my liking.
I attempted to compile my own kernel from Samsung sources. I couldn't get it to flash with Heimdall, though.
I did a roto-backup. Don't know if it will actually work, but I figured better to have a plan than not. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=850359
Elixir2 gives a lot of interesting info. So does the /proc directory.
One thing I haven't tried on my Tab yet is the V6 Supercharger scripts. Maybe I'll have to try that out soon and see if they'll work on the Tab.. They made a hell of a difference on my phone.
Thanks for the tips. I used to own the P1010
and did the same tweaks with it. It did improve
the tab a lot. But I got issues with the OCLF --
it disables the haptic feedback. Never found a way
around that one.
Anyhow, I already sold my P1010 and bought
the P1000 and never looked back.
I have some new updates to post shortly. I tried out the V6 Supercharger scripts, experimented more with OCLF and SetCPU and found a way to get haptic feedback working. I also had to do another factory reset to get everything working again. I'll try to post here in the next couple of days.
Sorry for not updating the OP. I actually got rid of the Galaxy Tab p1010 and picked up the HTC Flyer for $299. I will make a few edits to the OP but those will be the last edits since I do not have the Tab anymore.
That's too bad... But if you're now happier with the Flyer then so be it
Anyhow, would you mind posting how you got the haptic feedback to work? For the benefit of the P1010 users out there.
Thanks a lot!

Hi wonder if any one can help with my galaxy tab P1010 before I throw it at the wall !! I am trying to put books on from a disk I have. I am useing Calibre to convert them. However as you probably already aware that the device shows up as a portable device and not as a letter on the drive. So I am unable to get the 2 things to connect, I have tried lots of options like changing the driver to a letter, does not work. Also turned off usb debugging, the re installing drivers did not work. Is there any thing else I can do to make it work ? thanks for reading
Hmmmmmm... OCLF doesn't work for mine! Somehow it can't find the playlogos file in the system/bin. Not even a file named playlogosnow. I did a full nandroid backup before I installed OCLF and restored it and I still couldn't find the file in Root Explorer... HELP!!!
BTW, I'm running the KPI version of GB 2.3.6
Hello.
I've got a stock Android 3.2.1 (A501 4.066.29 COM GEN1) rooted with Stock/HV/Taboonay V3.7 for HC 3.2 16-10 - 1.64Ghz/UV control kernel.
The question is:
how to set cpufreq parameters (governor, max_freq,..) WITHOUT using 3rd party apps so that the parameters were restored after reboot.
Thank you for reading this.
Either the kernel needs to support init.d scripts or a service needs to execute on boot.
That kernel doesn't support init.d and Voltage Control has a startup service.

Forgive my ignorance but I can't put to use your answer.
I don't get where is Voltage Control and what I have to do.
Get Voltage Control from the market, make adjustments, save as boot. You'll be given the option to save as init.d script or startup service.
Well.. I tested it. Odd app.
First of all it can see only one core. It's funny. After reboot cpu0 works in conservative mode, max_freq 1.4 GHz and cpu1 in ondemand mode, 1.0 GHz.
I tried to edit init.d script and add the 2nd core but after reboot cpu worked with the default kernel values - script didn't work at all.
Moreover Voltage Control shows voltages turned upside down - the less cpu frequency the bigger voltage values. I fear to use this app
Download setcpu or antutu cpu master it recognizes dualcore , has the boot option
More education would be advised To you PLEASE DONT BREAK YOUR TABLET
Please do not take this the wrong way..
it does sound like you do not know what your doing.. I suggest you read more about over clocking./under voltage of a TEGRA 2 DEVICE.. That will get you more understanding about what you need to do. And maybe even help you decide if you really want to do this or not.. There is alot of resources online about this subject. I have tried custom kernel with set cpu.. I use it on my 650 mhz phone. clock it to 768. but it has a huge battry issue when running at that speed.Not to mention It would be dangerous to leave it on my purse with something running might be a fire bug.. GOOD LUCK .
Basically lower voltage at higher frequencies keeps the CPU stable. Leaving it linear would increase temperature exponentially.
Script Manager can run scripts on startup but I don't know how you could disable them if they keep it from starting up.
I didn't know about VC and dual core though. My bad.

I tried all cpu related apps from the Market that I was able to try. Now I want to try to get along without them.

I don't understand? You want something that does the same thing but you don't want to know it's there?
I found one app called System Tuner that lets you adjust CPU frequencies individually. I don't know why though.

Actually I don't like how these apps work. And I thought that setting up a few parameters would't be difficult. It seems I was wrong.
Yep. Code has to execute to do stuff, otherwise that stuff doesn't get done.
System Tuner Pro allows voltage adjustments on overclock settings. If you're interested. Also, has a lot of packages integrated into one (task manager, app freezer, etc). They have a free version in the Market if you're interested. It's nice to have several apps, in one nice package.

It's because the 3.7 kernel you used, is really not compatible with the a501. The ultra-low voltage causes "screen freeze" and the "sleep of death" when under 3g only. It's a known issue with the 501 and 3.6 and 3.7 kernels also. I would reccommend RTrips 3.4+. Probably his best for for a501.
I ship it with my own Alexandra II and III rom. No issues with it, and none ever reported.
Had I noticed when I woke this morning, you had an a501, I could have given this advice. Sorry, didn't have enough coffee

The problem, is that a lot of dev's, don't have a501's, only a500's. So they really can't test a lot on it. And sometimes, the issue doesn't happen for 2 or 3 days. Sometimes less. I'm going to experiment a little this weekend, with some of the newer kernels, and mess with the voltage's and see if I can get it stabilized where it doesn't freeze on 3g only.
Moscow Desire ,
Thanks for clearing it up and the advise. I'll try either 3.4 kernel or your ROM.

If you go to RichardTrips kernel thread, you will see a link to his older kernels.
You will find the 3.4 listed on his server. I think you just need to flash it, although I usually dump Dalvak cache.
Alex II is an easy install. Alex III (3.2.1) is a little more ... interesting to install, but not difficult. If you run into an issue, post it in my thread. Everybody else has got it installed, so I think you'll have no issues either.
It's the only "certified" 3.2.1 for the Acer a501 that I know if. Not that the other roms are bad, because they really are good, but, the 3.2.1 they advertise, are from system dumps after running an update, or adding missing files to a 500 rom. The TMPL is an Acer release.
I have been experiencing an issue with the Game Shadowgun I am hoping I may be able to get a little help with. The issue I am experiencing is that the game will pause itself every minute or two. This is actually the only game I have ever had any issues with. The game is fairly intense system wise so I'm thinking it's pausing itself to play catch up, either way it's very annoying, and the game looks sick so have been desperately trying to figure out a way to prevent this. One thing I have been playing around with is Chainfire 3D witch has solved many game related issues on my phone. Unfortunately I still have not had any luck with game. I guess that would go without saying or there would be no need for the post.. Anyhow, If anyone else who purchased the game during the $. 45 sale has had this issue, would greatly appreciate knowing its not just me. Also, any suggestions on a Chainfire 3D configuration or plug-in that would work well with CM7 on the Kindle Would also be greatly appreciated..
I’m using the IngCr3at1on 2/26 build with IntersectRavens 2/22 Kernel.,
I am not Supercharged but had been using Auto-killer with a very mild preset and no Kernel Tweaks. Thought it may have been responsible so have since uninstalled but doing so did not change anything.
Played around with different Governors like Interactive, Ondemand, and my personal favorite Hotplug. I have also tried setting Noop as the scheduler.
With Chainfire I’m basically just starting out with reduce texture quality and a few others but have honestly just been trying the game and then starting back again clean before trying other settings each time so basically starting from scratch with each attempt.
Also tried the VM heap size at both 64 and 48, been at it a few nights now and am on a mission.
Which version of CM7 are you using? Any Super Charge scripts enabled? What setting are you using for your cpu governor? Sorry for all the questions but it will help eliminate the issue. If you've changed a lot of settings in ChainFire you may want to reset everything to default for now.

My bad on the details or lack of, Will expand on the post above.
On another note, just now made another attempt at the Transparent Status Bar. Had the same issue as before but had an idea so went into Titanium, froze my launcher and Status-Bar then defrosted the launcher followed by the Status-Bar and Walla, Transparent Status Bar. Thanks again for taking the time to put that together for me. Sorry got mixed-up in the order of that as I just reproduced it and it worked defrosting the launcher first followed by Status-Bar. Either way its now working. Arge, whats wrong with me today, its Status-Bar followed by Launcher.
Looks like I may have figured it out. Really did not expect this to work but been playing an hour without a pause, beating my previous record of 3 minutes. Read this on another devices thread.
1 install Shadowgun
2 Open and download the extra packages
3 Move the games folder from the Android SDcard directory to the SDcard Root directory
4 Uninstall Shadowgun
5 Set Chainfire with all openGL settings checked except RGBA and Unroll
6 Install and apply NVIDEA plug-in,
7 Reboot into Recovery and wipe caches
8 Reboot and install Shadowgun from the Market or whatever they call it these days but don’t open after installing
9 Move the folder from step 3 back from whence it came so it will not need to be downloaded again
10 Open Shadowgun.
Did not expect this would work but so far so good.
Edit: No go, worked for an hour or so after doing the above but then the following day it was back to constant pausing every 2 or 3 minutes. May try an older Kernel. Having the same issue now with Dead Space and being that I have not read many 3D game complaints I'm guessing its just me.
In this thread we should share our own little tweaks to this amazing ROM.
I'll add to this first post any stuff that is proven to increase speed or makes using the ROM easier or more enjoyable
Note, this isn't intended to include mods and addons, as there is already a great thread for that
IMPORTANT:
Always backup stuff! And reboot after teaking!
Please note that, the ones I've found more useful, I add a USEFUL tag in front of them

BUILD.PROP tweaks
With root explorer or any other method of your liking, go to /system/ and edit the file build.prop.
- To increase max fps limit possible, add:
Code:
windowsmgr.max_events_per_sec=150
I'm not sure this one is really useful, I think android already sets this already to around 1.5x screen refresh rate. The gains could be negligible.
- Disable error checking, add:
Code:
ro.kernel.android.checkjni=0
- USEFUL Stop debugging icon from appearing in status bar (doesn't disable adb), add:
Code:
persist.adb.notify=0
- USEFUL Force home launcher into memory, add:
Code:
ro.HOME_APP_ADJ=1
_______________________________________________
OTHER TWEAKS AND TRICKS
- VERY, Extremely, Mega-USEFUL - Go to:
Code:
/system/lib/elg
Open egl.cfg and delete the 1st line (0 0 android), reboot the phone.
Everything should be much smoother, I notice this especially opening folders with a lot of icons in Apex Launcher. I think this disables the default android software rendering method and uses only GPU. Don't ask me if this is different than setting composition mode to gpu in build.prop, I don't know, I just know everything is much faster
USEFUL - Only works with Aurora 2.07+ and synaptics screen - Tweak your screen duplicate filter, like in x5settings for .32 kernels.
Go to:
sys/module/synaptics_i2c_rmi_1564/parameters/sensitivity
Open the file "sensitivity" and tweak the value. Default is 4. Higher values reduce screen flickering/jitter but screen can become less sensitive, lower values, the contrary. Personally I use 8, works very good for my fingers, adjust you value accordingly. Note, this takes effect immediately, but doesn't stick after a reboot. To make it stick after a reboot, go to "/system/etc/", open one of the scripts, I recommend "ini.qcom.post_boot.sh", and add this at the end:
Code:
echo 8 > sys/module/synaptics_i2c_rmi_1564/parameters/sensitivity
where 8 is the value you want. Save, reboot and check is the value is there, in the "sensitivity" file.
- USEFUL - Great tips on how to save battery without turning everything off (bonus, doesn't use BS calibration myth):
http://www.androidcentral.com/keeping-your-charge-how-improve-battery-life-your-android-phone
Works AMAZINGLY thank you
Edit1: Also may i ask what CPU settings do you use? any overclocks/governor?
Edit2: I got that funny text glitch just before, i decided to wipe cache and dalvik and i haven't had it again yet. Ill get a screen shot if it happens again but im pretty sure you know what i mean, all the text for apps look like squiggly lines/really odd ive seen this happen normally in previous versions of aurora but oh well ill come back with more info if anything else happens thanks again!
thank you mate. Two quick questions. If i disable kernel debugging will this affect logcat? And what cpu composition does?

Regarding the logcat, yes, probably disables that functionality, I've read in other sites, it just disables checking for errors, thus performance improvements. When I have time, I'll check if logcat is still there... the composition thing I think it tells the OS to always use GPU no matter what, I see a great improvement with that one, don't know if anything is affected, but so far, everything is great
EDIT: these tweaks were from here:

Yes, I think so, maybe it was just placebo... also, it doesn't stick after a reboot, the ROM would need init.d startup script support and a script to change the value everytime... try change it to 40 or something, and report, it it still trembles, I'll remove from the first post...

- Something to try, it seems not to work... - Improve synaptics screen sensitivity!
Do you miss x5Settings setting about touchscreen filter? I've been studying x5settings source code and found out what file needs to be changed to achieve the same result in Aurora. Go to:
- sys/module/synaptics_i2c_rmi_1564/parameters/
Edit the file "sensitivity" and set a value appropriate for you. I've set it to 8 and touchscreen seems better now. Maximum value I think is 64, and that works great too. I think this isn't placebo Pinch to zoom in pics doesn't "tremble" when holding the fingers on the screen as it did before, here.
EDIT: it doesn't stick after a reboot! And values change by itself, don't know why, maybe it doesn't even work... Try it for your self

hey fjsferreira if you want stick after a reboot, you must to paste this command "echo 8 > /sys/module/synaptics_i2c_rmi_1564/parameters/sensitivity" (without the quotes) into 1 of the files in /etc/init.d
number 8 is choise by us... but make 8 for this example
