O.C is increasing the max CPU.

Can someone explain to how to swap...
I tried but it said that he cant locate the swap file.
Do i need unlocked boot?

yUp!Stock kernel doesn't support swap partition...

swap only works in custom kernels like nAa and alfs..
u need to unlock bootloader to flash these kernels..
hit the thanks button

GingerDX + Alfs Kernel + Swap + Overclock (with setcpu profiles)
With this settings your phone should be suitable for HD Gaming

Try AtiFroyoV8

Use swapper2 from market if ur phone is at risky level

I guess I ships probably start overclocking to stop one of my games lagging lol

i may say that too many apps in your phone make phone lag and battery drain.
always try to put your apk in internal memory. putting apk in sdcard has so many issue like the speed of sdcard.
for rom try kuyadroid 4.5 with alfs 6.. OC to 748 and try your game. 3D games will be more smooth when you use chainfire3d

Wifi bug in hyperion pls hlp

I installed the hyperion 8 project pre GM build it is working flawlessly and have no lags and bugs but one the wifi is bad it connects and every thing is okay but no internet access can any one help

Flash it again but use the following procedures below... Tested on multiple roms already and this really worked.
of course thanks to sanny5 again since its his original guide :good:
Remove and insert battery
Boot to recovery (volume up+power+home)
Clear data and cash in stock recovery
Flash cwm
In cwm go to mounts and storage
There format system and cash and data (do not format SD)
Go back and clear data and cash in cwm (just in case)
Go to mounts and storage and mount SD, system, cash and data
Now go back and choose install zip from SD
Choose roms zip file and install it
Have patience it might take 5-6 mins or even more
If u follow this method of formatting system etc u can flash any rom no matter wat from u r currently using (no need to flash stock before flashing another from  )

Also is that build 1 or build 2? Build 2 is better.

Have you disabled deep sleep wifi as per instructions? If not
Goto wifi settings
Press menu key on phone
Press advanced
Select wifi sleep policy
Select never
Wifi will now work correctly

There sleep policy
Select never
Consider ur problem solved

In odin , flash the modem file which should be in "phone" field

Had the same problem i.e. No Internet access through Wifi after flashing Hyperion 8 Rom (Build 2), turned off the Wifi Sleep Policy and it worked..

Had the same problem.. But i just simply restarted the phone and wifi worked perfectly.!!

Bro, when i try this mod/script of sir kuro, my device gets hang/lag and SD Card's media scanning is really slow/lazy.

[Q] CM 7.2 s4 v6 question

Hey guys,im a long time lurker in this forums and i have to say good job on making these great roms for my galaxy y
Anyways i have a number question for this rom,its:[CM7.2][RC4] Reincarnation Rom Series v.6 Final 1 | S4 Edition
1.How to increase the internal memory of my galaxy y on this rom?i tried amarullz script but it just wont install on my phone(it worked when i used CM 11 and 9 though),i dont even know how to use a2sd and i dont like link2sd because it can only move apps to the sd card instead of increasing it.
2.Why is this rom's android version showed 4.3 jelly bean?isnt this is till on gingerbread since if it is,it would include a gapps?
3.Do this rom in any way,increases my phones performance?for example,running multiple applications at once like using a browser,calendar etc..etc?
Any help would be appreciated and sorry if this has been posted before but i cant find any post of these questions on the forums

1.I see...then please explain the 'other methods' because a 190mb of internal storage just isnt enough for me.
2,I tried both CM9(beta 5) and CM11(nightly),ive realized that even though it says android version 4.0.4 or 4.4.4,it can never really run any of the latest apps(force closes),i guess its because they are still in development?or is it because older devices just cant run the newer apps?
3.Mods?never heard of them,explanation please?
Sorry for asking again,and no offense for this but your answer isnt elaborated enough(sorry)

my galaxy Y runs very slow after installation of 2-3 apps like skype,whatsapp,we chat....let me know some fast custom roms...i think the rom with less inbuilt apps will probably do..it ll run faster cause of few starter apps .any respond would b appreciated.

Use Cm 7 roms. Joyos is a good option for problem like yours. I t can handle multiple apps. Check it out yourself.
