Hello everyone I was thinking of making my own stock based gb rom for r800x. I've never made a rom before so it will be similar to stock but I will theme it and remove bloatware and add some things like supercharging. I would like to know who would be interested and if anyone could give me suggestions.

rom: gin2blur
kernel: doomkernel v2
Hit me up on the theme aspect I might be able to help

I was going to use xperia s theme but I found a rom already using that... my current rom so I'm still thinking on what to use. If you have any suggestions please post. I'm not 100% sure ill even try this anymore because the rom.I'm using now has been great so far. But I probably will since it wont be too hard. Just a modified stock.
Thinking of using iphone theme, htc one, or gs3 or maybe ill get this theme I saw that is extremely customizable and make it however I like. As you can see I haven't tjought this out yet lol

What locker should I use and what's the best gb launcher. I think adw is pretty good but is there a better one?
Sent from my R800x using xda app-developers app
I tried the htc one theme but barely any of the icons were customized to look like it. Only a couple were. So im going to try something else
Most launchers and themes are only for ics so im going to try basing this off of the extreme beta ics rom do i need to ask him first
Sorry for wasting your time but I've decided to cancel doing this GB isn't worth it and I'm not very good at this stuff I'll just change the theme of someone else's ROM and use it

Anything different between this and the teaser build?
I don't like the rotating rosie from the other build. Is there a way to make it portrait only?

Hi, sorry if its been asked before but is there a rom that is close to stock android? If so which is it?
Thanks

Why don't you just stay with the stock ROM?
Think the op was asking closest to stock android not stock sgs2
Cm7 looks like stock but has loads of extra goodness. Not for beginners and its still a wip but still.. well its ace the devs are doing magic stuff

Yeah I tried cm on my desire hd it was quite good but always went back to sense as I liked it, but in my opinion touchwiz is a bit more stock androidy feel to it rather than sense , so wanted to go all out and just try out stock android , so the cm rom, is it available yet? Obviously not stable I take it??
Oh I would also like to ask if someone can tell me is what's the difference between cm stable and nightly builds??
I think I can assume what stable means but never knew what a nightly build was??
Sent from my GT-I9100 using XDA Premium App
Its not 'stable' yet for sgs2 in fact the first nightly only came out today.
Stable releases are known quantities I.e set milestones whereas nightly builds have commits added as they're submitted... nature of the beast some will fix stuff some might cause issues. Pot luck.
Stick with stable builds (there isn't one for sgs2 yet) if you want something rock solid without the occasional gremlin or two.
I quite like touchwiz but always run launcherpro so rarely bump into tw!

MIUI for me.
Cm7 - Stable (for me), reeaaalllyyy fast, MTD, open source, theme chooser, lots of amazing other things, amazing battery life
MIUI -becomes really unstable really soon after flash, not as simple as cm7, dont like the themes as much
TW - Stable, not insane speed, normal battery life, crap, everything works

I'm on CM7 but I may try MIUI again.
I love MIUI's theming system, but it feels so much like a different OS. Not sure if I really like that yet. Also it's not as smooth as CM7 and still feels in early development.
Loving CM7...(even tho wifi is wonky) errrr... Aside from that this ROM rocks! THX CM TEAM!

TouchWiz is not a launcher, its more of a framework. So even though the launcher is gone its still TouchWiz.

I find miui simpler than cm7. I loved cm7, but once I themed out miui and got used to it u can't beat it. Theming is better than cm7 no doubt. Especially lock screens (awesome awesome). It FLIES on Mtd too..and really not buggy at all. Any bugs r minor and easily fixable and nothing greater than wut cm7 has. Transforms ur whole phone and ui. Cm7 is still very android-y, not that that's bad, but not TOO different. Also miui stock launcher is amazing, and the status/notif bars are more customizable and nicer.
Omair..U want to get an idea of what we're running ass-to-mouth? I don't see how that's relevant...but I think I get it..

Hi guys
Someone shared a copy of the Moto RAZR launcher.
I installed it, looks awesome but needs a bit of tweaking.
Not sure if one can modify it to work 100% with the Atrix, but it basically gives you the original Motorola ICS feel?

Maybe it's just me, but it doesn't look all that different from Apex or Nova.
It didn't install on GB 2.3.4 stock rom.
Looks like this is only for Motoblur ROMs.

I really wonder what take them so long to bring ICS to any of their device since they don't even theme it that much. All the icons are stock ICS !

Good question! OK, some tesing must be done, but half of the year!?
Anyway, we're going to get ICS eventually.
I thought it'd be fun to share our gaming setups! You can also look at ROMs you might like that people are sharing.
So just post your XPlay home screen, and include your ROM and kernel so the devs get there credits.
Rules:
*No Adult Content
*Keep it Xperia Play Only
*Don't make rude comments towards others setups.
*Have fun!
