I was messing around with rom manager today and saw this. Guess birdman is going to release a rom soon?

Yes it will be called FlyX and he will later release one (about a week or so) vanilla ROM.

What rom manager is that you're using?

He should have FlyX out pretty soon here. He was going to have it out last night but ran into some bugs.
FlyX is just going to be a deodexed froyo build with bloatware removed. (still awesome)
But within the next couple of weeks he'll have a Froyo Vanilla ROM. (can't wait!)

Can't wait! Wife is getting tired of me flashing roms on her Incredible...

FlyX is going to be deodexed, and optimized, with the bloatware removed.
He's also working on a Vanilla build that should be ready in a week or so.

yea blur sucks. dont know if blur is one of the reasons (small) that moto chose to lock the phone down like they did. out of however many people that hve the DX i bet there are probably about 24 people out of 250,000 or so that actually use the crap. cant wait to get it off MY phone and have what I want on MY phone. these roms cant get here soon enuff!

Anyone know if the multitouch keyboard will make its way into the vanilla version?

now that the boot loader is unlocked...

Will there eventually be any roms that get rid of the webtop stuff all together? I have played around with it a bit and ultimately found it to be worthless and haven't used it since.
I want vanilla android! It sucks that is so much to ask for in this market. (I had Nexus S but cannot live with t-mo.

I'm sure there are devs working on porting ROMs such as CM7 or AOSP. Patience is key right now. I know some CM devs are receiving some Atrixes.
Give it a few weeks. ROMs don't appear over night.

Hopefully man I just want pure 100% android

MIUI uses CM7 as a base. So no MIUI until CM7.

Me too. I could care less about CyanogenMod. I want PURE ANDROID!!

I just want my Tegra 2 dual core phone to HANDLE LIVE WALLPAPERS.
I also want the WIFI to work (stopped detecting WiFi altogether)

Will be posible to port any variant of Honeycomb? Honey can handle the DualCore module, is AOSP and has HighRes. I think it will be better than any 2.x.x. Motorola Xoom has a very similar hardware so I don't think that it's imposble, but all you are the genius here

Multicore works perfectly fine in the current version of Android on the Atrix, as well as Gingerbread. Honeycomb will not be backported. Look forward to Ice Cream Sandwich instead, which is the "new hotness" I guess you could say.
If you want better multicore support, look to the app developers to add it into their apps. Android can run multicore but without support in the app, as I understand it, it won't use both cores. I am sure someone else with more knowledge about the underlying structure of Android could shed better light on the subject.

(Request) ICS Transition Animations for CM7

I dunno about other people here, but I'm loving the ICS animations that are built into it. I've seen other phones get them working for cm7, and Joelz even has them on Prime XL 3D, but I was wondering if anybody that knows how to do that can possibly make them for our cm7? Preferably for Nightly #258, the last one that's been up for quite a while now

I can post a framework-res.apk that I've been running on 258 with the transition animations

That would be awesome, thank you

Here you go.
All you have to do is go into recovery, mounts and storage->mount system
Then on your computer:
adb push framework-res.apk /system/framework/framework-res.apk
Reboot your phone, and your animations should now work.
Edit: make sure your do adb pull /system/framework/framework-res.apk ./ so that you have a copy of your old one in case it doesn't work. I think that's the right one though.

The Best EL30 Custom Rom

CM9, wasn't for me, so I'm currently using CM7-which I love. BUT, the nightlies still haven't fixed the volume whenever you make outgoing calls and I don't like the Camera/video recorder. Since those two things haven't been fixed (And its driving me crazy) I was wondering what you guys think is a very good EL30 Rom? I'm thinking about switching to one but I don't want to sacrifice battery life and how snappy CM7 is. Just interested in seeing what you guys recommend that I should try.

There is only like 3. Just try them all and see what is best for YOU. Each phone and user is different.

You know its not like this is the evo where there's like 200 different sense 3.0 or 2.1 or 1.0+3.0 or 2.1+3.0 we just have TouchWiz Cyanogenmod and Miui not a lot to choose from

Im still trying to figure out what else I can do to my epic...i got cm9 alpha 4 on it....but besides that idk where else to go..

Before I switched over to CM9, I was on Clean GB. Before that, it was SleeperROM, but I remember finding something that I didn't like too much. I'm not putting it down or anything. Its just that one of my apps wasn't working or the camera. I forgot exactly what it was, but they're both good. I can't say about the other one. I liked Clean GB a lot. Give it a try.

tried CM7, tried MIUI (had to add a launcher becuase it was driving me crazy without one...lol) and tried CleanGB...
all very nice and unique in their own ways...
in the end, went back to Legendary Rom v2.2, after converting it from BML to MTD format....
the creators have made the install of all the roms idiot proof, it's fun to just backup/wipe as many times as you want and try them all out

SleeperRom or CleanGB are both great Roms.

And Marcusant's v4 will be out soon too. It is in beta now.

I'm using cleangb and really like it. But I noticed that even stock el30 will do just we fine. No more ciq so its a good rom really. Bonus is, everything works.

Thanks for all of the replies! I'm trying CleanGB and the battery life is....ok. I guess I got spoiled with CM7 battery. I'm just glad everything works....Will give Marcusant's new one a try once released. May even try SleeperRom. Anybody on Thunderhawk right now?

I am running it right now. Seems solid and quick. The only issue found was the twlauncher FC'd. Changed launchers and it is running nice. He has a link up for the beta.

I have yet to get the phone but I want to startworking with firmware could u post a link to stock? I firmware

Request - change all the samsung green to ICS blue, add auto-brightness to the notification toggle bar, and remove bloat. I think that would be a good start.

My request is AOKP on the GS3 so when I get it next week I can get rid of god awful touchwiz...prolly won't happen but one can dream.

The new twiz is actually really good, if you have a skyrocket check out my smooth ice galaxy s3 rom it has it and its pretty good, but I won't be doing aosp I will be doing a clean stock look rom, maybe do one that's themed aosp.

I'm from the SR forum! just awaiting my Marble White GSIII from Best Buy! My sis is taking my SR not sure if I'm going to put it back on stock (most likely though) or let her keep using the nightlies. she's not stupid so if I showed her how to use XDA she would probably be fine. I just don't want her to take some risky flash and Screw up her new phone!

15 toggles is my fav and most use mod.
I like a nice black notification pane too.
