http://www.sammobile.com/2013/02/22...iii-android-4-2-1-jelly-bean-leaked-firmware/
Hope they get their hands on the note 2 version too
scribbled from my note 2 (N7100)

That's why he said about "someone who can make a port".
Remember great things start from small beginnings.

Y port it will be soon available for r note 2 also!!

i think samsung is stupid... 4.2.1? really? it is known that 4.2.2 have better performance and battery (about 2H. on-screen time in N7) so why 4.2.1? i mean i know that they probably started before it was officialy released but I prefer 4.2.2 more than this and probably most of the note owners too

This rom was build almost 3 weeks ago. Give them some time and at release maybe they update to 4.2.2.
Sent from my GT-N7100 using xda premium

waiting for note 2's JB 4.2.1

It would be way better if Samsungs skips 4.2.1 for Note2 and gets us 5.0 directly.

If I remember correctly, I think 4.2 will have the new camera functionality, new lock-screen with widgets and new notification shade for toggles. It also has the daydream function which I don't think anyone cares about that.

My wife and brother both have the nexus 4.. (my gifts. ... lovely phone. .. but i prefer the note 2 ).....they are enjoying 4.2.2 on it. ..
I love the dash clock widget on lock screen on them
Just eager for what Samsung can push in. ..probably the much touted eye tracker and scrolling feature and Samsung orb rumored for the s4..... getting greedy. ..?.. yeah why not?

A couple of hours ago The official Samsung Twitter account posted a tweet “ tgeltaayehxnx,” which is a Countdown for the Next Galaxy. Samsung has also registered a domain name http://www.tgeltaayehxnx.com/ that claims to reveal something in the next 6 hours. Discover how Samsung is about to challenge the way you view the GALAXY once more .
http://www.icsforums.com/forum/showthread/6502
Im confused, iv read from multiple sources this is either a new GALAXY or a new software update..
Im hoping for a new Galaxy as my SGSII has recently become boring.. need some fresh meat to get my hands on..
Guess we have to patiently wait..
Cannot wait! Perfect timing with my galaxy SII plan running out.

A part of my mind says that its fake while the other thinks the opposite lol ...cant wait for the next galaxy ...SII served me well i hope that the next does the same
It seems to be true as the domain is registered by reputed marketing agency The Upper Storey from Singapore

I think this is a way to see how many people from each country is interested in the SGS3 so they will know how many Galaxys to deliver to each country +-?
technical data of s3 seems pretty nice, but it will run with TouchWiz anyway :/
I don't expect to get much out of this countdown. If it's a GS3 teaser as the rumors say, then i will refer to GS2 teaser http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5FNKe6pPBnc
I bet that all Samsung will deliver and expect to get out of todays teaser is hype and excitements.
It won't effect me though, since i can't get anymore hyped or exited

It's Also means no JB for us I'm afraid
Envoyé depuis mon GT-N7000 avec Tapatalk
I dont see why that is necessarily the case but I won't lose sleep over it. JB seems very nexus specific in its focus. I don't see Samsung making any of their phones do extraordinary new things just by going to JB, especially when it comes to performance. They've only in the last few months managed to make the ICS roms for the Note a worthwhile download from that point of view.
I'm quite happy with ICS as a core on the note to be honest. What I don't like are some of the design problems like the notification drawer as pointed out above.
The only bad things I see from not having JB are that we will never have Google now - which is just a gimmick imho, I would probably not use it after the first week - and because they will never post the source for a JB kernel, then CM10 will never develop to its potential.

Yes thank you but that is a little disappointing!
Look at the Galaxy S3 notification drawer. That is also 4.0.4, currently but is more streamlined and has a scrollable toggle bar and a brightness bar in the drawer. Also it doesn't take up a huge amount of space with a "Settings" button.

notification drawer of note is waste space, note has a 5.3 screen, very hard to control.

That's not entirely correct. Samsung said the Galaxy S3 and the Galaxy Nexus would get Jelly Bean. They also mentioned that they would test JB for a few more devices whether it was possible to update them to JB or not. Among those devices is the note. But they have never explicitely announced that the Note will get JB.

Nice find. Thanks for posting. It has Learning Hub so that's finally being released (at least in Germany). There's still no Reader's Hub or Social Hub. It also said "pen removed" in the quick settings so its got at least one of the Note 2's features ported over. If Google Now only works in portrait mode that will suck. It was fast and fluid but it had no apps or widgets running; the real test to see if there's a difference is when we all load it up with the crap we use everyday.
Yes I am pretty much expecting us to get JB and the full Note 2.0 treatment. Reason being that Samsung will want 10.1 owners to also own the Note 2 as our phone so the devices need to be highly compatible.
Also they probably don't want to deal with 10.1 owners *****ing them out 24/7.

This is what made me question it...
I also think it'll add more value on a 3G Note than a Wi-Fi because it'll be online all the time and Google Now can collect more behavioral info. I haven't used it yet so still don't fully understand what it does, how it does it, or why I need it.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Once I fix Netflix on it, i'm probably going to start working on forward-porting masiullah's stylus gesture patches to CM10. Now that there are multiple stylus devices, there's more need for them.

They were submitted to gerrit, but weren't completed in time for CM9 and CM9 is now feature-frozen. One of the main issues that held it back was that the screenshot function had permissions issues in a number of scenarios. I'm going to work on forward-porting them to CM10 and cleaning them up when I get time.
If you fully inswrt it, it wont.. i mean if you partially insert it on the 10.1, it wont spin...

+1, Just because it says it will have an update, well it means nothing. Could be next year ...... Could be next week.I wouldn't get excited about it just yet lol.
I have tested leaked 4.1.1 on my p3100
tested for few hours and reverted to cm9
stock rom uses 100MB more ram, gui not so smooth
but sound seems to be better quality (more details at high frequencies) and bluetooth headset connects faster
I don't trust it. I was told every quarter for almost a year that my photon 4g was getting ICS, they recently changed their minds last minute.

I Just Have One question i would love to put it directly to Samsung,
Why is the rollout of JB talking so long, since these devices (GT - P5110 ) have the source code released and no carrier to slow down the rollout ?
Are we to believe that the phone company's can roll out quicker than the device manufacturer on some products? how can this be ?
Samsung has known issues with her reflects concerning customer care services, such as the update to JB for the GT-51XX series. Same thing happened with the SGS 1 and icecream sandwich. First we would get the update (rumoured), then no update (official statement), then the value pack(official statement), then no value pack(rumoured), finally one day we saw value pack rolling out... Great reflectsSamsung
