I'm pretty fed up with Twitter not updating or refreshing. I uninstalled once and that seemed to fix the prob but it's now stuck again. Please if you know how to fix this could you post your answer in steps a beginner can understand. I'm not a technical whiz but I'd really like to try and fix this! Thanks

The official Twitter app?
I would try another app to see what happens. I recommend Falcon Pro (paid) or TweetCaster (they off free and paid versions), just to see if it's the app or something else.

Hi I'm still an Android noob. I got my white Dell Streak from Bestbuy about a week ago. It took me a while, but I was able to update my phone to the stock 2.2 after several failure. My phone works flawlessly and so far I only experience FC probably 2 or 3 times mostly due to applications (knock on wood) .
However, the Onion News Network and the Dictionary.com apps have been giving me trouble .
I couldn't get the Onion News apps to pass the initial update and every time when I click on the pronunciation link on the Dictionary.com, the downloading circular icon would appear, buy it will take forever and nothing would happen.
By the way, I could watch any clip on the Onion News website and hear the pronunciation on Dictionary.com fine by using the default Android browser.
Could anyone please help me download the apps and verify to see if this is happening to all the 2.2 Dell Streak? I would like to know if this is happening to everyone or maybe I messed up my Streak.
I tried to search the forum and the web, but I could find anything so far.

Hello. After the update some days ago I can't add a properly working widget to the desktop. Just have the caption and nothing more. Before the update everything was ok. Is there any detailed instruction how to use Balanced now?
You might have to add the widgets again.
As for detailed instructions, we have decided not to include them as people never read them anyway.

I also use Desire HD with stock firmware but rooted. My friend has the same issue and also and Desire HD with stock firmware but not rooted.

What you need to do is:
1. Download aLogcat from the market
2. Run aLogcat
3. Reproduce your error in Balanced
5. Go into aLogcat and pause
6. Use the share menu to send the resulting text either to [email protected] or via PM here at XDA

i dont know why, but it keeps draining my credit by sending hundreds of message to the person i personally do with the same content. the only way to stop it is by uninstalling it. i set it to check my balance after every outgoing phone call and message, and also every time i tap the widget. but the concept and interface is superb, would like to see this problem solved
Mate, the app doesnt send anything. USSD requests dont cost you money. Your problem is something else entirely.

oh believe me, im not a troll, and i can't code for ****. i searched around too, and it looks like i'm the only one having this problem. anyway, maybe you're right, the problem is something else entirely but the reason I suspected the application was the problem is because the draining started when i set the widget up and ended when i uninstalled the application. i apologize if i tainted the image of your app in any way.
Dont worry, i wasnt offended, just tired of fighting an uphill battle.
Imagine getting hundreds of crash logs from people with no root trying to use Root Call Blocker. Then they send angry emails. Finally they leave 1 star reviews.

i have kind of the same problem.. i installed the miui rom and nog at the screen receiving sms for conformation, the complete telephone reboots (everytime).

Ok, if I remember correctly : reassign the app's permissions manually in the SuperUser app.
I'm sure a simple search in a MIUI thread would have give you the same answer.
Actually the first link of a "whatsapp bug miui" google search will give you the fix. Try to search next time...

put all your contacts in gmail under "My Contacts" without any label and resync the google and whatspp account in your mob thats it all contacts will appear again on whatsapp & viper
Okay, so I have the Acer A500 with Flexstriker's Rom and everytime I go to..
About Tablet >> Status it force closes saying the application Settings (process com.android.settings) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again.
It is seriously pissing me off, any help would be appreciated.

Did you ask Civato about it on his thread?
I will only guess, some other app might be messing around, like a battery app or Task app. Utility apps, are known problem makers.

You should post it there on his thread. Civato is very good about taking care of his roms. Most Rom modders are. Myself included. And if there's an issue, I promise, we do our best to find a solution.
I myself found 2 users, who had an issue with my rom last night. 1 was user error, the other may or may not have an issue. But, neither was posted on my thread, and I don't know why.
Anyhow, Civato knows his rom, and he'll be better able to help.

I hope someone can help me pinpoint this issue. It is going to force me to return my shiny new TPT if I can't find a fix soon.
Every time I try to search gmail, the TPT starts looping through a weird refressh with a green flicker and sometimes kicks me back to the inbox.
I don't get it!

Just delete the social touch app from the desktop , then check if you still have issues
