Hacked phone but need a little bit of help

Just bought an hd2 running both the 6.5 windows, and froyo android 2.2 build, need a bit of help in figuring out this 1 problem which is;
When go to the Android Markey it is still on the sellers account, and I tried to remove his account, but It says since it would need his account for some apps to run id have to set my phone back to factory settings, thus erasing everything. Is there any way around this, if not, could I back up all my contacts to my gmail account (if so, how so) and also from that point, would I have to re hack my phone?

Sounds like you bought your phone off a bit of an idiot! There's NO way that I'd let someone else own my phone without clearing everything that is mine off it.

thanks alot man, and yes lol I wouldnt be as mean to call him that, he was quite nice and professional, I believe he just forgot as he wasnted to sell the phone asap..
Also, how do I back up my contacts to my gmail account? and link my contacts to their facebooks?

I think you've probably already backed up your contacts. The problem is, you've probably backed them up to his google account!
I think google should be your first port of call here. Not being funny, but you clearly haven't searched this, as I found that link I gave you by searching for 'android change google account'.

Do a bit of searching - the answer is out there!

The ironic thing is it probably takes more time and effort to create a forum account, and then post a 'help me!' thread which you then have to monitor and reply to, then it does to simply type your problem description into google.
Especially now google instant has been launched, you don't even have to press return.

Actually I tried all those methods and will now try to reboot te phone in recovery mode o guess then if that fails I may have to factory reset an re hack

So you have WM6.5 on NAND and Android running on the sdcard .... cant you just format the card and use another Android build or am I missing something obvious here ?

Does anyone know how to or how long it takes to have ur Phone and Google contacts link together on the CM7 Roms?....From what Im thinking it seems to do it automatically...anytime I add a new number I create a contact for both Google and my Phone so there are basically two copies of each contact(I do that becuz I don't like how Google distorts ur photos when u add one to their contacts..so I only add them to the phone portion to keep a clean copy)...but sometimes it doesn't link together.....
I have tired everything that I could think of..I deleted the contacts (both)....I've added the phone part first then Google....that didn't work....I added Google then then the phone..and that didnt work....it looks like over time the phone would link them but I can't determine how true that is or was it something that I did to get them to link together....if anyone could shed some light on this it would be greatful.....thanx.....
Oh and I'm using CM7-RC3 (Vivid theme) on the Evo...I'm not sure if the theme part matters....thanks again.

[Q] Facebook Link Contacts

I didn't know a good name for the thread but, whatever.
So, I recently exchanged my HD2 for a new one, and the ROM was upgraded on the new one (I think). It's 3.14.561.1 WWE. I used to be able to sync my Facebook with my contacts on my old phone, but for some reason it doesn't work. When you go to Link the Facebook with a contact, it's supposed to show up their picture, but instead, it show's the grey head. After browsing, I noticed theres nothing in \Windows\FBContacts, but 3 random picture's in \Temp\fbimagecache. I'm between a rock and a hard place. Facebok v1.1.0.26
tl;dr Would having 3.14 ROM and this v of fb make a difference?

To my view i guess there is no way right now to bypass it in our device since that is the main reason CWM won't boot due to this messy feature bootloader is locked...

SM-G7109 bought in China without Google Services
Hi. I'm new here.
I recently bought Samsung Galaxy Grand 2 SM-G7109 in China (China Telecom).
To my surprise, it doesn't have any Google services pre-installed
I went to the shop and the staff somehow installed Gmail on it. So I have all the contacts now
The staff also installed Play Store but it doesn't work. It doesn't crash but it responses as if there's no connection
I also noticed that Calendar won't sync no matter how many times I try to sync manually.
It gives an error message, "unfortunately calendar has stopped".
Gmail seems to be syncing somehow but not so often...
If possible, I want all the Google services work normally.
I searched on the internet but can't find a good solution.
Will the method using the files like "com.android.vending-3.1.3-signed.apk" work for my device?
If you have any advice, I would really appreciate it.

Network Disconnecting Problem

I brought a Grand 2 last month in the showroom I did not check it with two sims I had put only one sim. Now when I am putting in the second sim the and chose the network mode to WCDMA & GSM auto connect or WCDMA then the internet as well as the network keeps on disconnecting off and on. But in the GSM mode every thing works fine. I went to the service center twice but it did not help. I changed the sim cards as well as the sim slots but nothing worked. Can any one please help me out? I will be very grateful and thankful for it. This has upset me a lot. Once again thanks in advance.

Hello...!!
It can be a problem with the device configuration...have you installed Network Settings?? If not that might be the problem..Just install it and it will be fine...

I tried "com.android.vending-3.1.3-signed.apk" but it didn't work, either.
I also noticed Google Map also doesn't work.
It's so frustrating not to have Google services on an Android phone...
Anyone can help me out?

Don't worry my friend will try to find a solution for your problem... If possible try to install google play app by searching in google..

Thank you for your reply. But I think my phone(SM-G7109) can not be rooted yet. Besides, I already have Gmail the shop staff installed for me.
Is there any way Google Store, Google Map, Google Calendar to work normally without root? Thank you.

Your device is supported for Google Play see here https://support.google.com/googleplay/answer/1727131?hl=en
Just search in Google for Google Play apk file and download it and install it... Once google play starts to work everything will start to work..

Thank you for your reply. Yes, I know it should be supported, but since it's sold in China (China Telecom Model), No Google service is pre-installed. And I did try installing Google Play apk file but it didn't work, just as I mentioned before, it continues to show "retry" button as if there's no internet connection.

Grand 2 games lag?
Well,Bro I guess its about a month I bought my Grand 2.
Its quite good smartphone but I am facing some gaming issues.
The games are not that much buttery smooth,I saw noticeable lags on temple run,temple run 2,GTA Vice City though those lags are very minor,Its responsive to touch but its very minor lag and Its noticeable.
I also own a Nexus 7 but My games on it are buttery smooth.
Well,I tried it resetting 2-3 times,Installed Nove Launcher,Turned Windows scale animations and all others to "OFF",Also deleted all the widgets from the home screen,Disable S Voice,Updated my phone [Recent Update Around: 177MB]
Please help dude,What should I do?
Even after spending a good amount of money I am not satisfied with my gaming experience,
Please reply me as soon as possible.

Hello Bro...
That's Samsung Problem They put so much bloatwares due to which performance will be effected...Clean the RAM and Background application before you start the game...that might solve to certain extant... Sometimes even updates can cause issues with Games Compatibility... See weather internal memory is Low?? if it is then it might cause problems these are some tips.. Most issue can be solved by Rooting since we can remove bloatwares...

Well man! I am not quite experienced with android stuffs.
Can you guide me what should I do? step by step?
Well,I already tried clearing ram and all that **** but still it doesn't works.

1. CAN ANYONE PLEASE TELL ME HOW TO GET RID OF THE ANNOYING SIM 1 & SIM 2 BUTTONS /LOGOS IN NOTIFICATION PULL DOWN MENU i. e BELOW THE BRIGHTNESS CONTROL.... WANAM XPOSED N EVERYTHING ELSE CAN DO IT ALL BUT THIS!! IM SHOCKED NO1 HAS DONE IT YET. OR MAYBE I DUNNO HOW TO. PLZ HELP

U can use xposed modules for this purpose...but if u want to remove it completely or for ur preferred way then u have to edit the apk which is huge...better try with xposed modules...I don't own this device so regarding success other members might be able to help you....[emoji3]

Hi there!! Strange behavior in my Note 3 SM-9005 with Havoc-OS 3.7 using voice match

First, I asked this question in the Havoc download forum and seems to be in this one so here I go again, I´m from Spain and my english is quite short so please be gentle if I do something wrong, there´s nothing that I could teach or contribute, only my experience like a noob user.
I´m a normal user and it´s quite amazing for me that I did what Havoc-OS intructions said for installation and run at the first time, so good for you that made that a guy like me did not brick my Note 3 :angel:
I´ll try to explain what I did since my phone has Havoc 3.7 last weekend :
My note 3 is running, all the things that I use to work with is running fine, I checked almost everything and from wifi, phone calls, sms in and out, gps, google maps, music, mp3 (I play guitar and sometimes I use the phone to practice), I also changed the ring tone with one created by myself (and ACDC cover...), like I said almost everything is running like new, what it´s bothering me and I try to fix (because I´m stubborn) is the google assistant, it has happened to you that only a tiny thing is not running and even you don´t need it you have the need to how to fix it? That´s what is happening to me.
I can use the google assistant and the kindly girl answer me what I ask when I play the button but it´s impossible to me to get voice match configuration to use Ok Google, and I received near 60 messages each day with error trying to connect.
I try everything (in Havoc forum a kindly member advise me to clear data and cache) and did not fix it, I uninstalled google and google assistant and installed again and always when I try to go to Ok google/voice configuration my phone try to connecto to internet and shows "Connection problem, check your connection and try again"
This is not a big problem for me because I´ve been 4 days using my phone with all the features that I need but this small problem has got a personal matter between my phone and me...and being serious, whith all the forum pages that I read in english my head is nearly to explode.
Thank you if you read this stupid story and thanks in advance if you could lead me to the solution because I feel that my phone is laughing at me!!

First fo all I want to say thanks to the member Atrankas to give me some advices to fix my problem, seems to be that there´s no people with this issue.
To update the information if it could be useful, I followed Atrankas advice and I made a clean installation but this time I use the pico Gapps, for some reason the nano Gapps gave problems to me with Google play and google asisstant and the microphone did not work properly.
Now I can use the assistant but I cannot get the voice configuration, the button appears in grey and when I try to make the Voice match the system shows me a screen configuration looking for wifi and shows an error.
Maybe is my phone problem or rather my problem because I don´t know how to do it...but I´ll try to find a solution, if I find something interesting I´ll come here to give information.

This problem reported from many people too in android 10 voice match not working on some device after update. if i remembered correctly they suggest to use google beta app

Thank you very much, now I know is not a Rom problem (cannot find users with the same problem that fixed it), I like a lot this rom and runs like a charm, the configurations options are endless and now I have my old note 3 like new for my needs
I took the opportunity flashing a few differents roms, some of them with android 9.x and the problem remains so I´ll check what you told me and see what happens, but I don´t want to flashing more roms because I´m not experience enough and don´t want to brick my note 3...again!!

I tryed so many things and flashed so many different roms that finally I bricked my note 3 trying to find a solution installing whatever I found when I had everything running and configured perfectly...
So I did a clean install from android 5.0 and I flashed the Havoc-OS 3.7 rom again, maybe a next google assistant update fix the issue.
Now I need a couple of beers...if someone find the solution, please join me!! :highfive:

Well...continuing with my lonely conversation, I don´t know why but I just tried to start Ok Google and surprisingly my Note 3 took me to voice recognition and now is running!! Why? How? don´t have an explanation, I have the updates disconnected and I only installed Microsoft teams app lately for my job purposes this morning and maybe I´m haunted by ghosts because I did nothing, only check the google assistant sometimes to check the Voice match...
Only with Wifi cannot use Ok google because send me to wifi error because cannot get ssid but that´s fine, I love Havoc Os and finally it´s running.
But in my job I use to say, I never trust anything that fix by it self...so We will see

Hey @Bacilus dantracis . After researching the log provide by the google app I actually found the problem. I guess with Android 10 google limit the user app to access the privacy data, so even Google Assistant made by them it cant access the the trained voice data which is used to trigger the app.
In our case, Google app is installed via play store(not included in nano/pico gapps) so it is recognized as user app instead of as system app like the in the stock factory OS.
The solution is very simple. Just make the Google app as system app. It must be in /system/priv-app/ folder. I tried to move it to /system/app but it is still not working, after more investigation I realized that the apps on priv-app have more permission access. After I move the app "Ok Google" command work flawlessly( On Wifi, I didn't put simcard on my note3)
You can move it manually or use Apps Systemizer module on magisk to do that. Hope it'll for you too

This is one of the things that I´d like to understand, I´m totally noob but I like to know the "why" of things, with my limits
I´ve been looking into my phone settings some things but consciously I did not change anything without testing and then going back to avoid screw something because I use a lot my phone in my job (and now It´s amazing how it works!), so thinking about it, could be that I changed anything that made the assistant works...this use to happen touching things without knowledge...some times fix it, sometimes don´t (and brick is one of the things I´m scared!)
Now it´s time to bed for me my friend, but tomorrow I´ll check word by word your post to try to learn more about this issue and understand what has happened, not because I need this feature (only when driving is more useful to me), just to learn how this works. (and for fun!!)
