White Nexus S hands on

All of those of you that wanted an upgraded Google Nexus S - your wish has been granted, if you consider a new colour an upgrade.
TechRadar got a little look at the new handset on test, and if you're in the market for something different when it comes to a new mobile, then the White Nexus S will at least set you apart.
First impressions make it feel like all Google and Samsung have done is chuck a while plastic cover on the back of the phone, but thankfully it's a little more than that.
Firstly, the whole inside of the phone is now white when you pop the cover off, as well as the extraneous buttons - and these are the things that are actually different on view when you consider the differences between the white and black version.
Sat side by side, you probably wouldn't notice the difference between the two phones from the front, with the same 4-inch Super AMOLED screen on offer. We have no idea why the front isn't also white - we can only assume this messes with the colour perception in some way, as the dual tone looks odd.
We put the black plastic cover on the back of the white Nexus S (there's not a lot else you can do when taking pictures of a new cover) so you can see the difference.
Another key difference, and in our eyes an upgrade, is the back is no longer glossy plastic but a slightly mottled exterior making it easier to hold.
Other than that, the two phones are identical. there's no official White Google Nexus S UK release date, but expect to see the phone sometime in April.
It should be landing on the same £30 a month (ish) tariff as its black brethren on Vodafone - at least now you can decide which version suits you better.

Ok samsung needs to make a non glossy black battery cover ASAP!!!

I think the phone looks a bit odd because the front is still just black.
The black cover on the white phone looks cool though.

All they did was change the back? not the front or the bezel?
The non glossy back is a great idea though.
When will they make black battery covers like that?

Xperia S in White or Black?

I think black looks cleaner as white is not having 100% white frame like X10 used to have but looks great on the back side ;-)

Honestly one of the nicest phones ever designed. White for the girls, and black for the guys. Those are probably the targets too.

I'll buy in black.

I like how the display in black phones just melt in with the rest of the phone in a way that i dint find the white ones doing. I think the screen seems smaler when u have a white phone, and I like big screens

Usually black makes slim.

If it's matte black then I'll choose black but if it's glossy black then I'll choose white over it any day.

In any case, unlike most here I prefer the white one from the front as I like the contrast. But, I'm afraid there's too much white for my taste on the back.
As far as the black one goes, I don't think the bottom plastic part will blend nicely with the deep glossy black bezel surrounding the screen, as the plastic will just look a little "less black" and not very integrated if you know what I mean.

black is the best colour. Whie does look nice but you will get bored of it very easily and no way of changing it. I used to have x10 with both white and black housing but after 2 cdays with white i always ended up returning to black.

Black colour is better because, if it gets dirty/scratched, it will be harder to notice it. Especially when talking about those shiny covers.

I pre-ordered the white one, I think it looks better than the black version.

OK I ordered a blue phone and this looks purple to me??and my Dumb question is do I have bad paint job or is this damn thing purple? So disappointed Samsung!!!

I have the blue as well, I hate white phones but the blue with the glossy back sucks.
I ordered the black Carbon Fiber skin for the battery cover and the blk bumper. That should hide all of the ugly purple blue.

I thought it was going to be a more navy blue type color...reaching back to my kindergarten crayola days I would have to say it's more of a perrywinkle blue than a purple, But i'd be satisfied with blurple also. Living in alabama and not being a bama fan was absolute cause for not getting the red one!

Actually, that cover is not a bumper. It is a clear back cover.
It worked out well. The carbon fiber covers the back and the case is super slim with rubber edge to protect the screen and good for gripping.
No more Periwinkle/purblue and finger prints. on the back only the screen.

There's only one blue (on the right next to the white)

I picked Midnight Black during Boxing Week Newegg.ca sale.
The blue one did not come with any gift card or gifts. I was seriously thinking about getting the Pearl White, as it looks really classy, the chrome/silver accent around the phone looks really good. However, I decided to go with Midnight Black as you cannot go wrong with the available accessories with black....just like any shirts will go with a pair of black pants.

I was referring to the photo in the OP (counted from right to left)

I deliberated between black and white but eventually went for the latter. Looks so clean and I love the way the light hits the back panel.

Wanted White but got Gold instead because they didnt have White

The only color options available when I bought mine with 64GB were white and black. Since I've never owned a white phone before I went with the Pearl white. Black has been the color of most of my phones since de mid 90's. Up to recently, family and friends thought that I didn't want myself to be mistaken with IPhone fan boys, and they were probably right!
I find this Honor 8 the most beautiful phone I've ever owned. Much more than my sister's Pixel. Not that I find the Pixel beautiful, on the contrary, to me it looks boring and bland. I was expecting better looks from a phone that expensive.

G6 White color model question.

Looking to get new G6. Wanted white model for a change from all the black phones. But on every YT video white G6 has silver frame, and in every online store i check white model has gold frame on the image. How to be sure what i'm getting, and where to buy white with silver frame one in Germany or EU shop.

At Amazon white model have silver frame (amazon.de.fr.it.es)

Not sure. Every model on Amazon.de i check has gold frame. I think i will go with Marine Blue option.
