Hi all,
i have a problem with my droid pro.
It was a 2.2 eu froyo but now it has the 2.3.6 argentinian rom.
The problem is that i can't root the droid (i tried z4root, superoneclick, motofail) but all of these said me the same error "read-only file system". What to do now? I wan't to root my phone but i can't. Please help me!
Use search man You can simply root 2.3.6 Argentian, here is tutorial. -> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1609458

I received this OTA update on my HTC Desire Z. I'm from India.
Can anyone tell me how to update my phone with this update? I'm currently running the stock OS but with permanent root.
My phone details are
Android version : 2.2
Kernel version : 2.6.32.21-g9d69527
Build Number : 1.34.720.6
Forgot to mention why I'm asking this question. When I tried to update this new FOTA I got an error. Installation aborted.
Thanks
by clicking on accept?? maybe restart first ? probably a app is blocking the update, maybe you can do a whipe first?
I even tried updating it via clockwork mod by manually selecting the zip file. During that I got signature failure. Installation aborted
OTA updates do not work reliably on rooted phones, the problem you are having is beacuse of Clockwork what you should do is try to flash the stock htc recovery and then try to update, this worked for me but do remember you will loose root possibly forever (or atleast until a root comes out for 1.82 if at all) and all the advantages that go with it.
here is a tutorial for flashing recover images
http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...ht=flash_image
this is the default htc recovery image you can use in the above guide
http://www.sendspace.com/file/gu11ed
Thanks, the link doesn't work, can you fix this please?
Also wondering if I really lose my root etc, isn't using this guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=985584 not a way to get back perm root etc?
If you don't want to loose root but you want the latest Sense, I suggest using VirtuousROM
Here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=837042
here you go
http://www.mediafire.com/?93fef9ac9webd4j
about the root i don't know it may or may not work, the thing is you can't be sure because no official root for 1.82 has been announced, i would tread with caution.
Hi guys im so stupid i deleted my backup of my old 2.1 stock rom therefore i can't go back to it from cyanogen mod 7 can someone please provie me with the eclair rom for htc wildfire thank you remeber it has to be official rom thnaks again

hey 3xeno....iam on eclair and want to update to froyo...iam having that 60mb file which is an update from shipped rom in my lappie.....i don't want to download it as iam having mobile network and no wifi....so plz tell me any procedure to apply update to eclair....
i had tried that method of extracting firmware file from it deleting .nbo file and then zipping it into P49IMG.ZIP bt nothing happened...my device didn't updated...
iam s-off and evrything....any method done from command or nything....plz do tell me..
I read it somewhere, but, I am not sure whether it works or not. Here's the procedure in any case:
- Rename the 60MB OTA Zip to update.zip
- Reboot into HBoot
- Press Vol Up + Power. This will supposedly take you to the Stock HTC Recovery.
- Here, select Apply sdcard:update.zip. It will install the Zip automatically.
Alternatively, you can try this via Clockworkmod also. The procedure remains the same, but, you enter Clockworkmod > Install Zip from SDCard > Apply sdcard:update.zip
To reiterate, this is what I have read elsewhere, it's not tested by me personally.
they are all version 1.0
still cant find it !!!
Go for this one:
RUU_Buzz_HTC_WWE_1.37.405.1_Radio_13.53.55.24H_3.35.19.25_release_151892_signed.exe
im currently using u8800 2.3.5 official rom
want to downgrade back to android 2.2
got the B138 dload on internal sd card a
pink screen is mounted shows usb
a folder named image exists there
ozgurce the developer says need to replace
the files in the image folder with android 2.2 ones
do u have the android 2.2 backup of the pinkscreen
i hate this official rom and want to go back to 2.2
CAN ANYONE PROVIDE THE ANDROID 2.2 PINKSCREEN
IMAGE FILES? PLZ TRY TO HELP
yes how to downgrade 2.3.5 (28.12.2011 release) to 2.2 ?????
Just flash B138 normally.
After reboot, problably the device will go to recovery mode and throw some errors about block devices. Do a wipe from recovery and reboot.
It looks that some guys succeeded in this downgrade while some others did not. I was one of these who failed.
I read many warnings not to try downgrading to 2.2, but I did it and... phone was bricked. Thankfully, it was replaced under a warranty.
For anyone having issues installing the 4.7.3 Verizon update. Or who lost root after the update and want root back. This is what I did and it worked just fine.
-Reset your phone back to factory settings in the settings -> privacy menu or in recovery mode.
-Get RDS Lite 4.9 or newer and SBF your phone back to 2.3.3 gingerbread so you have a stock verizon 2.3.3 gingerbread install. All the software including the 2.3.3 US Verizon SBF are on XDA in the fourms.
-Root phone with superoneclick
-Install OTARootkeeper from play store. Backup root and then temp unroot in app.
-Take the OTA update from Verizon which will install just fine now
-Restore root with OTARootkeeper
Now you have a stock Verizon Droid Pro running Android 2.3.4 with root. Enjoy!
SBF Files
Where did you get the files? I searched for them and the only thread had a link that I couldnt use.
SBF flash is not necessary.
4.7.3 Put on Sd card and sew through the rekaveri. You'll get an error because of what you can not ask. I did not flash because of build.prop.
Next download 4.6.8 SBF. and parse for the manual
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=13146095&postcount=3
and cast your files you want to place.
After this update will be in place. And you will not lose
Firmware files can be found here http://forum.motofan.ru/index.php?s=&showtopic=1730230&view=findpost&p=1625509

firstly, u posted it in wrong section.
secondly, u posted the device's name in the title wrong.
thirdly, follow these instructions,
If you are coming from stock OS (must be rooted with CWM Recovery) or an old build of GB, ICS, or JB then flash "defy_twrp_recovery_2.6.3.0.zip" from here http://d-h.st/dWr
Wipe /data, /cache, and /system in TWRP or use defy_safewipe.zip get it from here from here http://d-h.st/dz8
Flash the kitkat ROM
then flash Gapps.
and u r done
