My N10 won't charge any more. Either when it's on our off. It's unlocked, but stock. Is there an easy way to relock it, so it can go for repairs?

Fastboot OEM LOCK

I was wondering,
what does the bootloader display when you relock it using the fast boot lock command.
Does it say relocked or locked?
Thanks,

It just says locked, just done it with mine
So does that mean that you can restore to complete factory settings and get warranty back?

Yeah, returned mine a few days ago to Tesco UK.
I used Wug's rooting toolkit, but it's your choice what you use. It downloads and flashes the stock image for you, so there is no evidence of root.
Then you use to Lock OEM feature, to re lock the boot loader. They will never know that you unlocked it
I am new to the Nexus 7 and have a small question on the boot loader unlock.
If i unlock and re-lock the bootloader on the N7, does the N7 go to a 'Re-locked' state or just goes back to 'Locked' ?
I come from a HTC one x which goes to Re-Locked

Ah thanks for the clarification
im actually going to return the nexus 7 to best buy mobile, where i bought it. however i already unlocked and rooted it and installed a custom rom. and theres no way to bring it back to stock. i assume theyre going to check it to see if its unlocked etc during the return. does anyone have any exp with returning theres? or is it against the return policy to have it like this? go figure, it is a nexus and should be this way.

May I ask why you are taking it back? And it really depends how tech savvy the customer service person is...
Sent 4rm my Nexus 7 FLO... Only thing missing is O.G. N7's development...
You can go to the Dev section and find a 'stock' image that you can flash. It leaves it unlocked, but that's a simple enough adb command....

Relocking is not an adb command. It's performed by running fastboot.
fastboot oem unlock
Will handle everything nicely if the device is in fastboot. Yes, you can use adb to reboot into fastboot mode, but it's usually easier to just use the button combination.

Welp that's what you get for being on the Internet in the morning.
Yea pretty easy, all done in fastboot mode.
I would personally do,
fastbook OEM lock
Then
Fastbook OEM unlock
Then
fastboot OEM lock
It will erase everything and put it at stock-like, with a locked bootloader. Sales clerks aren't going to go through setup again to look at some text.

Don't worry I used to work at best buy and I still return my stuff rooted/jail broken. I would just flash a modified stock ROM and return it. Make sure that there are no give aways like the tablet ui looking different ect. They honestly won't care just say you are return it because of some bull**** reason like it doesn't fit your needs. Do not say its a software issue otherwise they will try to troubleshoot it obviously!
Good luck hope this helps!

While there is certainly no reason not to spend a few minutes to put things back to stock (why take the risk?), odds are they won't notice or care. I returned my original N7 to Sams Club to upgrade to the 3G model when it came out and the CSR didn't even open the box, let alone make sure it was stock. I guess the fact that they could track me down if the device wasn't inside might have helped with that.
Also, keep in mind that when returning a non-defective device (and sometimes a defective one....) they go back on the shelves as open box. Odds are, someone who has no idea what they are doing is going to buy it. So don't be a jerk (not pointing fingers, just talking generally) and give them a modified tablet. Be nice and leave it in the same condition you would want your mom to buy it in.
Stock image is now posted, so Wugfresh's Nexus Root Tool should be able to flash it, unroot and relock.
I am upgrading my phone and you have to return your phone in order to get the new one. How do I relock my bootloader? Is there a way?

You can... but it doesn't really matter. flash a 100% stock rom, install the boot logo fix, stock recovery.img and return it.
My phone was accepted in that condition.

Yeah I doubt they care enough to boot into the bootloader and check. Wouldn't be surprised if they didn't know how to either.

and even if you re-lock the bootloader IF they are really checking it will show it was unlocked and re-locked. (status code)
Am I left with a paper weight? Or are there commands that will work?
Without having enabled unlocking from the developer options first, I'm afraid that phone is now a rather expensive brick.

You can wipe data via stock recovery and start over again...
Sheesh... That escalated quickly
