Hi.. just got a bravo replacing my broken x10... gonna browse a bit ... then check out some of bandroids roms etc.... then plan on theming and maybe even messing with some portting while I count down to a new phone upgrade in a couple months.. does anyone know the core files for the bravo.. aka files for signal etc hw scripts ramdisks etc

Wow.. this phone does not have active people. Fyi
Rooted phone got adb and DROID explorer running. and removed bloatware... going to start messing with speeding it up some over the next few days... maybe theming some if it to my liking

Does anyone know if the recovery uses amend or edify scripts... figures I would ask although I have yet to get a response
Sent from my MB520 using XDA App
Apparently I like ti talk to myself
Got overclock working and recovery ... only oc to 950 and get 1500 quadrant... downloading some of bandroids work to check it out. Only thing left foe me is to sbf before messing around so I can always have a way to fix semi bricks

Another post to myself on some progress.. oc to1000 and did some minor tweaks..
I know get a quadrant score of 2000
What I did
1. Edit build prop for ui tweak
Internet speed tweak
Stagefright enabled
Call dial speed up tweak
Changed vm heap size and other dcache tweaks

What do you mean does anyone "know" the core files? Like the location? signal is located in etc/motorola/ bp_nvm_default/

Here is the build prop..
The rest where tweaks with spare Parts. And sdcard speed app

X10 had specific core files for the phone when I ported roms. Signal is one of them... vold is sdcard.. liblegacy is light.. libaudio for sound. But a handful of files where specific to x10.. you usually need. Ramdisk. . i still haven't had time to sbf and mess with files yet..
What file is in charge of boot up in the bin? It was chargemon for x10

Jargonv I thought about your question camera and kernel is the most specific part for camera fix.. in particular the ramdisk. Once you get debugging working in camera you would work on libvorbidesec to get camcorder working... how close is the defy camera to bravos?

When I try to make pictures from a long distance they are pretty sharp but short distance is a mess. Is this normal? Can I fix it?
Sent from my MB526 using XDA App
Which rom are you using? In my case, using CM7.2 the autofocus was really fine, for long or short distance. In case you're using some CM rom, try the manual focus mode, and set the focus to an object in short distance, just to check if is the problem is with the autofocus mode or the camera/lens.
I am using Mokee OS. Its based on CM 7.2 and i tried Macro focus option. Well its a little better now, but far away from perfect. When i try to scan barcodes its a challange to get the wright distance.

Sounds like a software problem. I would try another ROM if this feature is really important for you, like an official CM.

There is no official Rom for Defy +
Sent from my MB526 using XDA App
Sorry, my mistake. I didn't get it from your signature.
There is a Defy+ CM7.2-based ROM (Maybe not official), http://www.defy-cm.net/defy_plus-cm7-nightly/
Here is the thread of the CM7.1 and 7.2 for the Defy and also some post for the Defy+. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1033654

Hi, is it possible to illuminate the capacitive buttons at the max using "automatic brightness" please ?
I have a Defy+ using CM10 (latest build, by Quarx).
Thanks !

I tried it too, but I think it's not possible. Maybe it can be added as a feature later, if somebody can do it...

By installing this your warranty is now void... wait a sec, wasn't it already void? Hmm...
Okay, up on my soap box for a minute:
Don't expect to be able to set your CPU to a ridiculously high clock and then every thing work right. I cannot tell you what the limits of what your CPU can handle are, because they are all different. I do however recommend keeping it at or under 1914MHz to avoid any RR's or FC's in the middle of your game. If you attempt to OC more than your CPU can handle your TouchPad will freeze up and restart with the default of 1188MHz, and don't worry it's still okay!
UPDATED:
Okay, I've updated the frequency tables with some new frequencies and lower voltages for better stability and battery life! I've also now updated the 2D and 3D GPU to 6 scalable frequencies including 2D frequencies up to 270MHz!
This is DEFINITELY worth the update!
Right now:
29 CPU Frequencies:
192,384,432,486,540,576,648,702,768,810,864,918,960,1026,1152,1188,1344,1440,1512,1566,1620,1674,1728,1836,1890,1914,2022,2103,2157
3 GPU Frequencies: (3D 320 & 2D 270)
More features to come in the far future...
How to install:
1) Download
2) Boot into Recovery
3) Flash
4) Reboot to GamerZ and set your desired frequency

SGA can you post a google drive link of the CM9 kernel?
For some reason I get really low speeds like 4KB/s when downloading from Goo.im and with gdrive I can almost get 4MB/s

could you make your kernel so thats it support NTFS usb mountin alot of devises suppourt it and i know its only a kernel issue for our TP i would be awsome continue you exellet work love your kernel finally a good kernel for our TP
Weird, no matter what I do I can't get the kernel to take. I'm on the latest fat n creamy, I boot into twrp, install the kernel but it doesn't take. I've installed a million things and am no stranger to this whole thing so I don't get it. Any ideas? I downloaded the CM9 file twice, no luck.

perhaps some of the common jb bugs, though in my daily use i don't experience bugs, only 2 or 3 fc's when updating in playstore, but that's playstore or my undervolting (57/1100)
other than that, to use your own words in development: "smooth and stable"
don't know about gaming though.
