You should read the M-kernel thread and find out from other users. They probably posted screen shots of their values. Normally, for many devices you can under volt up to -100mV or even more. Read the thread for more info.

Charger output

As I was putting my S3 on charge last night for the first time I noticed that the output of the new charger is 1A as opposed to .7A on the charger for the S2.
As the S2 had theoretically two charging modes, 450 &650mA (depending if it was enabled in the kernel..eg Siyah), I was wondering if any of the tech guru's out there would know what charging rates does the S3 accept (if kernel enabled of course) ?
I'm guessing this would have to be done with an ammeter but if anyone has any theories feel free to post here.

Hopefully GM of SiyahKernel fame will have an answer and tweak for us in no time in his upcoming kernel. I'm sure it'll be in his to do list somewhere.
Edit: First charge 4-100% in 3 hours.

1st charge got 4328mV.
Expect it to be a little more after a few full uninterrupted charge cycles.
Suppose I could do the maths and calculate an approx charge rate, but will need a true min. for that. Brain's a little tied right now though

ah , 4328mv ! im getting something closer to it, will get better with some more battery cycles.
4338mv measured here peak. I

Kernel similar to Faux's Eco Mode?

Is there another kernel that has a similar Eco mode? This allows users to limit the core usage to 2 saving additional battery while low on battery w/out big performance drop.

With motley kernel you run the following command in terminal:
echo 2 > /sys/module/auto_hotplug/parameters/max_online_cpu
It will disable 2 cores until you reboot. You have to put it in the inti.d script file if you want it to survive a reboot.

Just to let you know, with motley's kernel, you want the experimental version. The mainline version doesn't support core disabling.

I personally prefer the lean kernel and OC at 1500 and change the Read Ahead buffer size to 1667 .... Min at 102000 interactive governor even running benchmarks using Antutu and quadrant temp does not go beyond early 60

best rom/settings for gaming

Now before I catch heat for asking which ROM is best I don't want any developer on here to think I'm against their work.
Now, I'm trying to find the quickest ROM on here for gaming. I'm using the ktmana kernel and I know that speed comes from that but I've read that using the PA ROM actually hurts gaming performance. So I'm trying to figure out which ROM and kernal settings are best for gaming like nfs

I've found CM10.2 and Flaming Monkey to get great framerates in NFS, RR3, and Asphalt 8 with KTManta, 1300MHz CPU, and overclocked GPU.
PAC, Rootbox, and PA all didn't do too well. I may try Vanir shortly.
I use rasbeanjelly or purity with trinity for performance. Highest fps for me personally

Nexus 4 throttling issue?

I am getting my first nexus 4 soon and I was very excited until I read about the throttling issue it has (or I'm calling it that) i like to game on
Phones and that's why I was planning on fixing it. But if it passes 39c it down clocks everything? If I get a custom kernel and rom will it prevent this? Quadrant scores are really low.. I just hope it performs good. Oh yeah when I am gaming on my HTC Droid incredible 4G Lte if will get 55c cpu and 50-55c battery. And my phone never change clocks. Thanks for any help.

Well, with a custom kernel you can adjust throttling to your likes. My nexus performed better than my dads m7 in 3dmark

I personally got horrible benchmarks on the N5 Experience. I run stock with Faux kernel with delvik and bionic tweaks. Also the Google now launcher. I installed xPosed frameworks and GravityBox to get all the same features as the other rom but still have incredible performance. Just my experience.
