Does anyone know if the auto-correct bug from 'XXELLA still exists on the stock keyboard? I know I should install the firmware and check for myself, but it's such a lengthy process. This bug is the only reason (maybe the bulky GNote gallery too) why I'm still on 'XXDLID 4.1.1, and I'm not a fan of aftermarket keyboards.
Thanks!

As far as I remember, all the keyboard bugs were removed. I can't be 100% sure since I never ever use the Samsung keyboard! It's plain awful! I really think you should flash another ROM. DLID is too old. You're missing out on the smoother experience of the newer ROMS.

No Tuch Wiz 4 - 2.3.3 update coming next month

i had talk with a guy working in samsung he told me that there is no tuchwiz 4 for galaxy s and update is expected in april ( In europe)
Same funcations as I9000XWJV1 with bug fix
Damn, again a "had talk with a guy working in samsung he told me that" thread. Again a waste of time ;s
Well i believe we will get 2.3 final when there ready and not a moment before

too bad, would really love touch wizz 4.0
i don't like the icons in touchwizz 3.0, they are to big
as tw 4 is the only real benefit of the s2 i 'd really wonder if samsung was so stupid to give it to the galaxy s users.
i'd probably fire the responsible manager as sammy marketing chief if that actually happens as user i hope for tw4 of course, cant be worse than tw3 or cm as it is atm.
I would like to try TouchWiz 4. The YouTube videos of the SGS2 seems to be very nice. TouchWiz 3 was great, but has some problems, like the homescreen is left and not in the middle.
We wont get tw4 as we are only single prossesor and that will be reason and all these mates at samsung stories starting to get boaring only fact is beta out and final will be realesed when they decide to .be content with what we have amd thats the number 1 mobile on planet that initself should suffice but we want gingerbread are we ever going to be satisfied i dout it

For that you could try gtg465x's modded touchwiz 3. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=822523. It has middle homescreen, adds alphabetical order of app drawer and a nice 5 columns fixed apps on the bottom. You only need a rooted device and works on stock ROMs
Are people realy taking this kinda post seriously?
Can we have an "Anti-Thanks" or "Kick" button, please?
Well i do also know around 100 people at the nordic samsung support and they have no clue when 2.3 will be out but as they say seeing that 2.2.1 did just get released again i wont expect it before the nexus s are on 2.4 lool... or like this... around summer time.

[HowTo] find out when my phone has been manufactured *secret code*

Hi everyone!
For some short time, thanks to our great developers, we have CM10 aka Jelly Bean!
But this also brought some problems with it. Some users are said to have lags. Fault for this is said to be the different speed of the NAND partition. I do not want to discuss this here, because I am of the opinion that CM10 is insanely fast, even with older chips. -> seems to be solved now, with the new partition layout :victory:
But how do I check the date of manufacture (DOM)? After a short search on the internet I've found how to check when your phone was manufactured, but this may vary of course from the sale date, so please be careful. And it also says nothing about the speed of your NAND partition.
Open dialer, type *#*#197328640#*#* to open SERVICE MODE (if it isn't working try only *#197328640#*)

My phone is older than yours and i didn't expect such big lags on cm10. In fact, the latest build is very smooth and responsive.
Maybe the lags aren't caused by slow NAND partition at all, because the slow one has still 54Mbit/s speed, could be enough for data partition.
I believe in pawitp's work. Till it isn't even a official CM10 build we can be happy to have JB on our SGS..
I guess you have to just test the rom with full wipe (+format system) to know for sure, if it runs well on your phone.

21st of June 2010. That's about 2 weeks from when I bought it! Interesting...
2011.2.16 - I guess a newer version of SGS-I9000. However, date on the battery (below SN) says 2010.10.28.
I have CM10 installed and I have experienced lag with the previous alphas (mainly using apps), not so far with the latest version.
i think my phone should not exist

[RANDOM] Verizon logo found in stock 4.2.2 rom

Does anyone else notice that HTC might be moving to one rom for all the carriers? I found ATT, Tmobile, Verizon, and Sprint status bar logos in the stock 4.2.2 update. I think HTC is doing the right thing here. Put everything in one rom, then based on the CID, install certain things. I still think that att should leave the icons alone...but this is better than nothing.
I guess this also confirms the Verizon variant of the One. (I know verizon confirmed it this morning)
EDIT: BTWm this was from the stock 4.2.2 rom from Mike. Not the ARHD rom.

What I consider a junk ROM is nokia's symbian s60v3 ROMs. There are alot of junks in there like image of homer simpson, a corrupt image, bunch of hello world text files, an apple logo with a worm, quotations, a pdf for origami and other stuffs. This even got an article years ago in symbian-freak
