Default timer notification - Nexus 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Is there any way to change the default notification for the countdown timer? If not, is there a very minimalist free timer app that allows one to set the notification sound?

No one?

Alarm Clock

I really really love my HD2 but the only thing that I have a problem is the alarm clock. The alarm goes off and plays the notification but then doesnt repeat or a long pause between the notificatios. Is there a way to have the notification repeat till you turn off the alarm or a free alarm app alternative?
I'd love to know a good alternative app too because it doesn't seem I can select anything but the default alarm rings. I'd love to be able to play music instead
The best alarm I have found is G-alarm (not Free) but well worth the money. It allows for mp3 as alarms. do a search and you will find it
My problem with the stock alarm is that the pop up notification box no longer shows unless I tap on the notification bar first. I think it used to before I did a hard reset. Basicall when the alarm goes off I want to see that pop up box on the bottom where I can dismiss or snooze. It was so much more convenient then having to tap on the notification bar after unlocking. I also have BSB tweaks installed and have the dismiss x time option enabled.
EDIT: Found the solution in All Settings. Just had to enable the pop up.

settings - menu - all settings - sounds and notifications - notifications tab - select reminders - tick display message on screen
Attached is the free older version of G-Alarm.

How to stop Tasker displaying notifications?

I'm running MIUI, and want to get rid of the default notification that Tasker always generates, even when no profile is active. Does anyone know of a way of suppressing these notifications?
From within Tasker:
Settings => Monitor => Run in foreground (uncheck)
Although, this raises the possibility that Android will kill off the Tasker monitor service when resources are getting low...
The better alternative:
Settings => Monitor => Notification Icon
You can set it to transparent so it doesn't appear in the notification bar, but, the entry will remain in the notification area & Android won't be as likely to kill it off.
Next to those options you can tap the ? icon which explains it pretty well

Looking for a way to change alarm & notification ringtone.

Hello,
I want to use my own alarm & notifications sounds. Just found an APP that allows me to pick my ringtone, but lacks the ability to change the other sounds. Is there an APP or way to change the other sounds?

No upcoming alarm notification?

Hi,
I've noticed that on my s7 edge, if I set an alarm in the clock app, I don't seem to be able to get an "Upcoming Alarm" notification like I do with the google clock app (It gives you the ability to dismiss the upcoming alarm)
Is this normal behaviour? Does anyone else get notifications of upcoming alarms with the Samsung clock app? I get a little alarm icon on the status bar but nothing else.
Thanks,
Darth
Anyone?

Stock T-Mobile Rooted 6t - Automatic Notification Prioritizer

Does anyone know how to disable the Automatic Notification Prioritizer on the stock 10.3.1? Its a pita to have to wait for a notification and long press to change it to "Important" from "Other" for every notification type i might receive. I want to receive all of my notification icons in my bar, not the just tiny few google deems worthy.
You find more granular notification controls in Settings->Apps & Notifications.

That was my first place to check. Nothing in there for disabling this that I could find.
