Hey folks,
I just got some music from a classmate and tried to play it on my device. It won't with every music player app I tried. (Apollo, Play Music, winamp and two or three more..)
I guess I have to convert them to mp3, but I wonder what program is the most convenient. I would love to have my Tags (Title, Album etc.) taken over.
What program provides such functionality?
Thanks in advance!

OK, I've searched all over the forums and the market and google, but I have yet to find a player that does what I'm looking for... All I want is a "dumb" player. My requirements are this: play by folder, system library with selectable folder scans so it doesn't play ringtones and notifications as music and simple playlist management i.e. Add folder... essentially like winamp for windows. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I've tried doubletwist mixzing and winamp and all have some of what I want but none have all. Help please...

Only problem with ttpod is when selecting a music folder the songs play out of order. My mp3 collection is organized artist> album> (track number) - (song name).mp3 it keeps wanting to play based on (song name) alphabetically. Anyone know any way to fix this? Power amp is great but as limited as my income is, I can't justify paying 4.99 for an app.

i always use tunewiki whith lyrics....its a good music player
can someone tell me how can I change the splash screen on TTPOD ?
how can i make my album art show up for mp3's in play music? these are files that I've ripped on my own, not ones purchased through the play store.
I've got albumart.jpg's in the album folders, but they don't show up in the music app. This method worked fine using the HTC music app on my old One S.
Just use iTunes, and add the Album Art that way. Works perfectly fine for me.

Or if you're using Google Music, you can easily search for an album image on your computer and set it through their web interface.
Try renaming the files to folder.jpg. Or embed the artwork in each MP3 (I do this and it works fine with Google Music).
Unfortunately none of those methods worked for me so I remembered the old trick of clearing data from the app and that did it, at least for all but a couple stubborn albums.

Most of the album art on the stock music app are fine but there's 4 I came across that have album covers that don't match with the music. They were there when I downloaded the song but I didn't care about them since I was using Poweramp but I wanted to switch to stock for the air gestures and adapt sound. Anyways... I tried transferring the 4 songs to my computer to edit the tags using an mp3 tag editor and transferred them back on my phone and it didn't work. I also tried deleting the songs from my phone and putting the album art-less songs back. The same artworks still remain. I also used a couple of tag editors from the play store. Still no luck. Any ideas how I can remove these annoying artwork from my music player? Thanks in advance!

I had the same problem. You need to force start android's media scanner. Unfortunately, you can't do that manually without an external app, like that one: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.addz.mediascanner
If that doesn't work, go to app manager and clear "Media Storage" data, then run this app again.
Hi guys,
I transferred all my music on to an microSD card, however half of my songs do not play on the player for some unknown technical reason. I tried using alternative music players, such as Doubletwist and PowerAmp and had the same result. Many of these files are MP3 files and they do not play as they should.
Any ideas?
Thanks!
Sound like they were corrupted. Try deleting them (ideally format the card) and re-adding them.
I have 10.4GB of mp3 files on my (crappy)microSD, all play smoothly.

Thanks I tried it, it seems to be working better now. I think the files got corrupted during the transfer.

Hi,
I have a little problem with Google Play Music app on my nexus 4. I copied a few albums of music to the phone and when I choose any album, tracks are sorted in alphabetical order. I want to sort them in "standard" order - by track number on the album. How to do it? A searched it in settings, but didn't find it..
Thanks for answers..

This is a issue with the app, always out of order, I use mp3dit and update the album through that by changing the track order. It's a pain but it does fix it.

Thanks for your answer. Editing every album is not very comfortable.. Never mind, I will use Walkman app, it works ok. Hope Google will fix it soon..
