When I power on my phone ... All I can see is a black screen ...

nxt time dont flash the universal
init.d.. you should have the proper usb driver of sgy so that odin can detect it..

U did... Before flashing ... U agreed with the term that if u brick ur phone....u are the one responsible for it... Did u see everyone having the same problem as u do...

as far as I can remembr atom mod did recommended u to have a nandroid backup .... so u just took the pakage did watevr u want without reading instructions .... now I come here and blame the dev....!
No dev wants ur phone to be bricked they are not terrorists ..!
So don't blame devs for something that u did next time ...
OK here's the solution
Download and install USB drivers on ur PC
Then flash stock via Odin
U can see how to do that In doky's thread under stickis under development section

A backup is done just in case something bad like a soft brick happens. A backup should be done every time you do any considerably big mods to your phone just in case. Not just when you flash atomods.

U see atom mod is not a rom...
Its a collection of many mids that are there for galaxy y ...
It working and not working depends on wat rom u are using
For eg if u r in a custom rom and u check on install (I don't exactly remember all the features that were there) something that is not compatible with existing rom then u r bound to have problems
Atom mods expects its users to have a bit of common sense
U might do something wrong by mistake too .. that's y u should have a backup ...

I would say long live nandroid backup
Don't trust those scores the are not very accurate ... they cannot predict how well ur phone can perform ... only u can observe it

Its hard to find a simple step-by-step procedure to solve this problem.

THIS IS ONLY FOR Samsung Galaxy Y Duos GT-S6102.
REQUIREMENT:-
Desktop or a Laptop with 100% power backup.
Internet Connection to download Drivers and Firmware.
Samsung Galaxy Y Duos GT-S6102.
OUTBUT
ORIGINAL BOX CONFIRGATION for the Samsung Galaxy Y Duos GT-S6102 .
METHOD-
Download the Original Firmware Bundle from manoranjan2050 Click Here
- Unzip the Download package to you desktop You'll get 3 *.tar (or tar.md5) files
- Install Samsung Kies, or Samsung driver pack [Which ever is available]
- download Odin 1.85
- Stop Samsung Kies from Task Manager
- Stop all active ADB sessions
NOTE- all applications on the PHONE MEMORY will be deleted so please BACK UP your data
MAKE SURE YOUR GT-S6102 is atleast 80% CHARGED
Disconnect phone from your computer/laptop.
-Start Odin
Choose the files in odin as:-
PDA======PDA_S6102_DDLG1.tar.md5,
PHONE====MODEM_S6102_DDLG1.tar.md5,
CSC======CSC_S6102.ODDLF1.tar.md5
LEAVE the PIT and BOOTLOADER fileds empty!
Leave all other fields and check boxes default! [Auto Reboot, F.Reset Time should be checked others unchecked]
Switch-Off Your Samsung Galaxy Y Duos GT-S6102, if the phone is not turning take out the battery and put it back in.
Wait 30 sec.
Press Vol Down +Home Key [MIDDLE BUTTON]+ Power Key at the same time.
After about 5 sec a warning screen appears
Release Volume Down and Power, then (a bit later) Home Key [MIDDLE BUTTON]
Press Vol Up [CONTINUE]
You have reached the ODIN mode screen.
Connect your phone with a data cable to your computer/laptop.
You must see yellow 0:[COMxx] in the first ID:COM.
Click on the START button.
Flashing will start immediately, see the progress in the message box, and progress bar on the phone too.
Wait 1-3 minutes, until green PASS! in the first square box.
Samsung Galaxy Y Duos will reboot
Leave it as is for 2-5 minutes until START-UP finishes.

No bugs i hav encountered since i hav been using it for 2 weeks. Pretty nice rom really wif the cm9 status bar.

just some COLOR FONT bug i've encountered but overall IT"S AWWEESSOOMMEEE !! \

Only problems I've encountered so far are (a) a slight one of black text on a grey background in some places, already noted by others, and (b) either missing or very well hidden settings for text-to-speech, so there's no way I could find of changing from the default tts engine.
Apart from that it seems a very nice slim rom, and noticeably lower power consumption than the rom I was using before (with the same kernel for both).

Probably baseband - read what baseband it is for and flash that stock rom first

Please tell me which ROM is good for daily use now with OTA update and the ROM still LIVE! :silly:
I mean the dev still keeep the rom UPgrade.
If it's possible i want 4.2.2 or 4.1.2 or 4.0.4
There is no ics/jb for galaxy y.

For custom rom see the rom threads and decide up yourself.
Best rom/kernel threads are not allowed here so I am sure you will be bombarded with posts saying this is not allowed/reported etc. So I would suggest not to make such threads in future. Report this thread yourself and try to search before posting.
P.S for ota updates and all you can try evo x3. Its just a suggestion.

First flash stock rom via odin.. It will ensure proper installation of kernel in hyperion nd u may NOT get stuck in bootstuck or bootloop ..
Then follow the rest of instructions..
** rooting is new for me,
nd i am a noob to root....**

Well... U can... Bt maybe the kernel may nt get flashed.. Nd u may get a bootloop.. So its a 50-50 chance ..
Rest is ur choice
