HTC HD2 - doesn't start after hardreset - Windows Mobile

Hello
Phone didn't run 2 years
When you start in a random crash when (when switching on, when you use). Crash when switching on the phone required a postponement of a few hours to the next start not just hang it launched on the system. Hard reset has been made. After a hard reset the phone never started. Suspended starters at different times. As before, to postpone the phone after a crash on the first screen. When you turn on for a few hours or a day makes such passes away . to the orange screen in preparation for the launch, but it still hangs.
My battery is goog, windows seeing phone.
My stock soft is R 2.07.51.22m2 G 15.32.50.07U D 1.66.76641
What i do now?

8125 Freezing at start up

My phone has been working fine for a few months now, after several flashes (cant pick a ROM ) anyway, a few days ago it started acting funny. It would freeze just doing normal everyday tasks, then it would just start working again like nothing happened after about 2 minutes. Now today, it freezes on my welcome splash (the one after the htc, the windows splash). and it just sits there. Sometimes, if I let it sit for about 10 minutes, it will start up-VERY SLOWLY, and if you go into any menus, it freezes. I tried to re-flash, but it wont establish an activesync connection. Is there anyway to get the phone to flash in my situation? Hopefully, I could flash it back to a cingular rom and send it in for warranty.
Did you tried to hard reset your Wizard by resetting while holding Comm Manager and Voice Command button?
Yeap, runs through the set up, gets to the screen where it says "customizing in 3...2...1" and shuts off.
Well, today, it completely died. Won't turn on, tried a new battery.....nothing. Do you think, since it won't turn on, I may be able to sneak it by Exchange By Mail???
Fixed it! For some reason, the first time I tried a new battery, it didn't work. Tried it again just for the hell of it, and it fixed it. Strange.....

Troubleshoot Reboot Hangs

Gurus -- can you help me tell if I have flaky hardware or if I am shooting myself in the foot with some software I'm loading. 3.3, 3.5, and now 6.1 work and I LOVE them. Fresh off of a hard reboot after flash of a simple or maxed out kitchen the device works fine. I run SQL2 for a program that requires it. I restore my PIM. I add in WSync for Verizon. It works fine for a few days and then the device will be dead (not dead battery, just black screen). Reset button gets as far as the 2nd screen (Windows Mobile) and that's it -- full hang, never progresses.
Only way to get alive is either a hard reset or bootloader and new load of SW.
1.02 bootloader
Verizion PPC6700 (Apache)
Any ideas on basic troubleshooting of the bootup process?
Does the device cache "last start" in some way such that if it gets some sort of corruption, it persists through a soft reset?
I'd like to fix it myself but when you can't see what's going on, what do you do to troubleshoot? Trial and error hasn't homed in on much -- it has to run for a while before the problem shows up. I'm about ready to go back to the original OEM 2.7 release (shiver) and run a few days just to see if it stays alive.
Thanks guys!
Make sure the battery is fully charged, then try to boot it up, I know if the battery is near 10% remaining, the phone will hang on windows mobile splash. I had a similar issue as you and realized the battery life remaining affected its performance. If you feel that a certain program is causing the hang, then weed the culprit out. If I were you I'd leave out all the verizon customizations (reseting within 3 seconds after hard reset boot)
if your running a custom rom for winmobile 6 it probably has all the verizon customizations built in so when you do a hard reset don't let the carrier customizations run

SKTools Bricked My Phone

ran the freeRAM service that comes with sktools, and the phone froze. No biggy, so first instinct was to let it sit, which i did let it do. After a few minutes i soft reset the phone and it just hung at the htc mobile splash screen. I tried several times to soft reset, but nothing was working. I was in the end forced to hard reset and loose all my data.
Any1 know what the heck happened?
Ummm...if you were able to hard reset and get the phone to come back, it's not bricked.
Title is a little misleading, don't you think???
I have been running SKTools on my WM devices for 4 years now and have never encountered such a conflict. It is possible that as FreeRam attempted to close dormant program(s) that the program(s) themselves reached conflict and therefore froze your device.
In my experience with SKTools, it has flawlessly maintained my device and I have found that 95% of the time that the conflict resides within apps/programs not playing well with each other. Have you recently installed apps/programs?

Mogul sometimes won't come back from standby

So i've only had my mogul for 2 days now and so far there have been about 4 occasions where the phone was in standby and when i tried to bring it out of standby (by hitting the power button) nothing happens. The screen stays blank and no buttons work.
On one of those occasions the screen did pop up after a really long time (maybe 20-30 seconds) but still the buttons did not work.
Each time i've ended up having to soft reset the phone (using the pinhole button on the bottom.)
Is this a common/known issue and is there a fix? I've tried searching but haven't found quite what i'm looking for.
Did you buy the phone new or used?
Did you attempt to install any ROM upgrades or a new bootloader?
The Same Thing
I have that very same issue and my phone was brand new!
I have the same issue too. My phone is almost a year old. I flashed it with the Sprint 3.35 ROM and thats when I norticed it. I've never unlocked or put any cooked ROM on this particular phone.
Sometimes I have to tap the standby rapidly like about 10 times before it wakes up.
When I first purchased, same--solution
I was ready to return mine, but what fixed the problem for me was installing a task manager that really closes the programs when the "X" in the corner is tapped, your problem is most likely lack of memory. You have many programs open then activesync automatically starts up it drains memory so far the device locks up. There are many different task managers just do a forum search. Get rid of stock rom, it consumes too much ram as it is.
I have the XV6800 and my first phone had this issue. After removing all added software, still had issue. Did hard reset, and had to call Verizon to re-program the phone. Left phone as stock and still had issue. It seems as though it is a memory/bluetooth problem. Verizon swapped my phone for a new one and have not had problem since.
Now my work got me a XV6800 and am having the same problem with it. I am trying to get them to let me return the phone while within the first 30 days. Good luck and if you can, have your carrier swap your phone.
I had the same issue after putting the latest rom on..after a while it would seem to lock up alot as well. I just recently put on dcd's rom and it seems loads better now!
same thing happening with me. it only happens when i keep the phone on for like 2-3 days without a soft reset. then when i soft reset, it freezes at the windows mobile splash screen and the only way to fix it is by doing a soft reset while plugged in. i am using key's 1.3.1 rom
sorry, i completely forgot i made this thread. I've deduced what's causing the phone to hang in standby.
If i leave any java app running and let the phone go into standby for some time (atleast 10 minutes) then that's when it will have problem not coming back.
I've just made it a habbit of completely closing any java app before putting the phone down. Doesn't happen anymore.
I had this issue a while back but it was because I was low on memory after using the phone 3 days in a row.
Ever since then I soft reset once a day or once every other day.
Other then that the last time I had issues with my phone not getting out of standby was when I was using the stock rom and my alarm clock wouldn't go off because of some weird power settings.
I had the Standby of Death SOD this is when the phone fails to come out of standby with a power button press. This issue only affects some people on some networks. I'm not sure if its a network problem or a software problem but as only a minority of people have it, I suspect its mainly a network problem there is a software solution.
The solution is to change the phone settings band option from auto 3G/2G to either 3G Only (WCDMA + UTMS 2100 in Europe) or 2G Only (GSM + AUTO) depending on your requirements.
Also read this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=540943&highlight=standby&page=2where the resolution was to get a new SIM.
Obviously this only solves the problem when the crash is because of the sim and/or settings which impact the sim. To rule out a software cause its best to start with a hard reset.

HTC P3600i Freezing Problem

Hi Guys,
I'm new here, but have been following and reading these forums for quite some time now. Great Stuff!
anyhow, my problem, recently purchased a HTC P3600i PRO. Put a custom ROM on it, seemed to be running great over the last few weeks, but my problem is this. Now and then my phone pda will lock up and I'm forced to reset it. What happens is, I am still unsure as to why this happens, but lately it's started freezing up, and when I click on my start button, it shows my menu, and then when I click programs, it shows as "empty" when I know there's nothing empty, it's filled with stuff, randomly this happens to my settings window as well. Basically stuff randomly dissapears from my start menu, shortly after, 5 to 10 seconds, it locks up. The next thing I do or click on after seeing things disappearing from my menu, it freezes. I then have to do a soft reset, and after doing a soft reset, it's as if it's done a hard reset and wants me to re-configure the time, click on all 4 corners, etc.. I use have to use SPB Backup to do a full restore of my phone/settings/contacts/software etc..
Can anyone help?
Also, just to update.. I restored my phone with a backup today, and it seems to be running well again for some strange reason. Is it because it's overheating? getting hot or what? I'm not sure what it's doing. Please help
Figured it out
My backlight whilst on battery was set to brightest. figured it was overheating as it felt warm too.. I turned it right down to 3 bars from lowest, and it's fine now
Guess it my screen and battery were getting quite hot and the CPU was overheating. All resolved.
I got a HTC p3600 for about 10 months. i used to have the backlight set to minimum.
now i update my rom and it got crashes so often, almost every day, and I need soft restart the device all the time when get crash.
The worse, sometime my display picture just broken + crash, and I need more than once to restart the pda. When I restart the device sometime the display just turn black color moving from top to bottom, or sometime with colourfull dots on screen, and the device does not want to be restart.
In that case i take the battery to turn off the device.
Sometimes i need to wait some minutes until i can restart normally the system.
It usually crashes when it is connected to the computer via usb (charging the battery) and i need to use it. (i check and it is very hot)
Also, when i use wifi it tends to crash (very hot too)
Since i upgrade the rom my backlight settings are set higher...i reduce the backlight, to reduce heat and test the system stability, but i really think it is crashing due to overheating.
