If I restore the 4.2.2 with fastboot I haven't any problem

I have same problem , started my OTA 4.3 upgrade 40mins back . My phone keeps restarting with "installing system update ". Any idea how can i stop this ?
Update seems to have finished, bootloops after inputting user password to unlock screen. It's a short boot right back to the password screen again.
Was stock, rooted, unlocked, 4.3 was OTA update

I got really lucky somehow, in getting the phone to work and managing to keep my data.
I don't remember every step in order, as I'm sure lots of them didn't do anything, but eventually I just reflashed every part of the factory images EXCEPT userdata.img as I (correctly?) figured that would erase my ****.
Wiped cache a few times from recovery as well.
Had a couple scares - at one point the LED turned RED during a couple bootup attempts.
First time after the 3rd round of flashing (including system.img) it would not boost past the X. Had to wipe cache in recovery again.

Update:
After waiting about 10-15 mins I eventually reset the phone by holding down the power button for 10 secs. It then moved to the "updating apps" screen and eventually rebooted to the Nexus "X" logo. But it hung at it the X logo for about 15 mins. I again lost patience and restarted again. It finally booted all the way up to the lock screen. I now have 4.3 and it seems to be running fine...
Just wanted to share my experience as I had the same problem. It kept saying 'installing system update...' in a loop. Then I pressed the power button. It got turned off. I turned it back on and it got stuck at X logo.
Then I booted it up in recovery mode. It again said installing system update but only once and then it started updating apps and all went fine.

[Q] G2 stuck in an installation loop that started while updating to KitKat

I am stuck in an installation loop that started while updating to KitKat.
I was happy with my LG G2 (T-mobile, D801G), but wanted to use root apps. So, I rooted and installed TWRP, but did not flash a custom rom.
Tuesday when I woke up there was a message saying I could download KitKat. After installing my last system update I lost root, so just had to unroot and re-root – took me about 15 minutes. So, I decided to go ahead and install KitKat.
It downloaded and began to install, but got stuck in a loop. The LG logo flashes for 5 seconds, the little droid pops up with his stomach spinning and the message “Installing system updates” but shows for only about ½-second. Then the screen goes black for 2 seconds and it starts again.
I can get it into the factory reset screen, but when I say yes-yes, it puts up the message :
Error: Boot certification verify
341120
341170
341220 Secure booting error!
341270 Cause: boot certification verify
341320
341370
(the nunbers are different each time, but always 6 numbers in increments of 50)
Then it sits in a black, but not quite off screen until I hold down the power button to turn it off. When I turn it back on, it shows the logo, then the droid showing the message ‘Erasing…’ for a full second, then switches to the ½-second ‘installing system updates’ loop.
It will go into download mode. When I connect it to the LG flash tool ‘Up Test’ it says all firmware is up-to-date.
I tried this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2582142 but I couldn’t get Ubuntu 12.04 to install gdisk. Then I noticed that
ls /dev/sd*
returned the same values whether my phone was plugged in in download mode or unplugged completely. The values were
/dev/sda, /dev/sda1, /dev/sda2, /dev/sda3, /dev/sda4.
I tried the next step anyway
gdisk -l /dev/sdb
and got the error saying gdisk was not found, but I could install it with… etc. I tried to install it, but it wouldn’t work.
This is the second phone I’ve rooted – I had my HTC Sensation rooted for years, and flashed many ROMs. I hadn’t played much with the G2 because I liked it just the way it was – but had to have some rooted apps. I also have an HP Touchpad running Cyanogenmod. My experience with Linux is limited. So I’m just one step up from a noob.
Any advice would be appreciated! I bought a go phone so that I can take my time and fix my G2 right. :-/

[Q] Broke N7 after trying to sideload 4.42

HELP..
I have a N7 2012 that was rooted with stock ROM. I just updated to 4.4 and then decided to sideload 4.42. In middle of running the fastboot with the new image, it just hung at sending 'system' (625382kb). It was there for at least 10 minutes. Ctrl-break didn't do anything, all the keys weren't working in recovery. My only choice was to unplug the device. After unplugging, it reboots to the Google screen and hangs. If I hit the power button, it just returns to the same black screen with Google. It hasn't budged for about 15 minutes now.
I was using these instructions, which worked fine for 4.4.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2390286
Is there any way to fix this?
UGHHHHHHH.

UPDATE:
I just booted into recovery and just ran the 4.4 update again. It is working again. PHEW!!!
Um.. going to just hold off on 4.42 update. Wow..

[Q] Android 5.1.1 OTA Update Problems

Last night I received via OTA update to Android 5.1.1. During the upgrade process, when it is ending gives an error showing a red X android. I rebooted my Nexus 7 holding the power button, and when started, I was surprised to see the message "Optimizing applications" that can only be displayed after an update. I checked on the "About device" and observed that claims to have Android 5.1.1 installed. Throughout the day my Nexus 7 functioned normally, but tonight turned off to put it to charge the battery. When I decided to reignite my device, it began normally but after a few seconds of observing something in the settings menu, my Nexus 7 was restarted by itself. Now he started again but this time showing the message "Android is starting"> "Optimizing Application 1 182" ... Started and restarted again. What could be causing this problem? How could I fix it?

XT1564 unable to reboot properly for OTA

I have a stock moto x play whose hardware sku is XT1564. It's on android ver 5.1.1 and system version is 23.21.25.lux_lra.en.US
I have not performed any soft mods or alterations, be it root or bl unlocking.
The only thing that I would think is different than normal is that the phone is encrypted, so it asks for password whenever it boots up.
I got a notification to update to 24.74.5.en.US a few days ago and decided to try doing it today.
It downloads the update fine and when I press on the notification for it to start the update process where it says it needs to perform a reboot to update it goes into a "phone will reboot in 10 seconds" screen and when countdown finished it shows the "shutting down..." popup that appreas when you try to shutdown the phone.
Then the phone stays with that popup until it finally shutsdown like 4 minutes later on what appears to be a hard shutdown because it doesn't reboot. I have to manually power it on and then the phone starts up normally asks me for my password and about a minute after android fully loads the phone tries to shutdown again without any input. And then it just keeps doing that until I boot the phone into fastboot and try to get it to bootloader, where it shows the dead android logo with a red yield sign and promptly shutsdown. Then when I start the phone normally it shows an "update unsuccessful" screen.
Anyone have any idea what might be the problem?
I've been thinking it might be the encryption but IDK. Also I've checked the thread with the firmware versions and couldn't find mine there. Is there a way I could dump mine for backup in case I **** something up trying to get OTA to work.(without unlocking bootloader and rooting, of course)
Now the update has stopped appearing and I can't get it to recognize there being an update for this device.
Fudge!
