Add multiple widgets to lock screen? - Nexus 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

How do I do it? All I can figure out is to add one per screen and swipe left or right to view the others. Any way to get multiple widgets on one screen?

[Q] Lockscreen Widgets

How do you remove the digital clock on the lockscreen? It keeps returning after I delete it. Also, can you add other widgets besides the four shown?
I was able to use uccw on the lock screen
Try to replace it with another widget. Then go back later and delete that one.

Tried that. The clock came back.
Is there at least a way to make it look decent, without the stupid bold hour digit? I wouldn't mind having the clock on the lock screen if it didn't look so bad.

Download Fixed Clock from the Market/Play Store and use that widget in place of the stock one.

HD Widgets is very nice option as well. It gives you many configuration options for the lockscreen

[Q] Expand lock screen widgets

Hi All,
I finally made the jump and bought a Nexus 7 even tho we will most likely see a newer version in May. However it is still freakin awesome! I am running CM 10.1 nightly's but cannot expand the lock screen widgets. Is this possible? I love that new Dashclock widget for the lock screen but it will only show me two of my selected options before it cuts off because I am unable to expand the widget.
I use it on the Note 2 (also running CM10.1) and it works great. Anyone know something that I may have missed?
Thanks in advance
-Chris
I actually forgot how it's done. I remember I did it once on 4.2 but never again could I expand the widgets to maximum size again on 4.2.1 and 4.2.2
Hi there,
Have you tried Apex Launcher?
I dunno for sure, but maybe, and just maybe you can re-size and customize the lock screen widgets.
Hope this helps

I did! That's what I thought but looks like it's built into CM 10.1. but not in the grouper builds i guess.
Swipe down on the widget. From the clock

It doesn't behave the same way my Note 2 build does.Only thing I can do is delete or add widget. no re-sizing (that I can see or get to work) .
It really is strange then. Maybe if you pm your Rom dev for some q & a.

Lockscreen widgets

Anyone else disappointed HTC didn't include these in 4.2.2?
Sent from my HTC One using xda premium
Not really I had them on my s4 and found them more annoying then useful but if you want them that bad flash cm10.1

Yes I am very disappointed. I've been wanting to use dashclock on my lock screen for ages!
I don't get why HTC chose to leave off a headline feature of 4.2.2.

Big time disappointment for me aswell, this is my first android phone, and when testing others phones, the majority had it working...... can not understand why they would'nt include it.

I was on pac but it's just not stable enough yet. I had them on my note 2 as well and I loved my dashclock widget

The only one I ever use is Dashclock. Thanks to the 4.2.2 Sense update and Widget Locker, I can still use it. I'm annoyed by HTC's decision but it wasn't a problem
Disable HTCLockscreen.apk and you will get stock lockscreen with lock screen widgets.
Apparently worked for someone in the ARHD thread but doesn't work for me, stock lockscreen shows but no lock screen widgets.

Only works if you dirty flash from 4.1.1 rom to a 4.2.2 rom. Most people couldn't get the phone to boot though.

Yep this worked for me, but I did dirty flash, I don't confirm if that's the reason it worked though.
The novelty of dash clock had worn off for me though useful as it is.
Not sure if you mean you're disappointed that HTC didn't include stock widgets, but you could try out Widget Locker and put other widgets on the lockscreen.
I'm a bit confused. Once I get the 4.2 update I will be able to use widgets like Dash Clock, right? Changing lock screen is no big issue for me as long as it works.

You won't be able to add widgets to your lockscreen. That's just how HTC did it. Even if you remove their lockscreen. Only way to get widgets will be if you use widgetlocker.

You can use DashClock on your homescreen... That's what I primarily use it for anyways

Trickdroid has an option for the AOSP lockscreen and you can use widgets.

The widgets don't work. Only if you dirty flashed over a 4.1.1 Rom. Unless a newer version was released that some how included it, you have to use widgetlocker.

Even more confused now I don't know the difference between regular lock screen widgets and Dash Clock, but as long as I can use Dash Clock I'm happy.

Ahh Ok, yeah I did a dirty flash. But I switched back to the sense lock screen because I noticed if you had a pattern lock and got a call, you would have to unlock with your pattern before answering the call with the AOSP lockscreen

I have personally had problems using Widget Locker both on my S3 and now the One...find it to be laggy and at times not work consistently with notifications.
Can someone please explaine how it works?
Hi!
I've just flashed the new 4.2.2 and when i looked at the promissing lockscreen widget i was and i am confused.
I can see 7digital and a bunch of my Fancywidget widgets and Google, where are ALL my other widgets? Why so few?
I can live with that i can't scroll to the left and right for more pages (seems very strange to me anyway) but hey, i though ALL widgets could be put on my lockscreen...
Wait so the new lockscreen style "Widget" doesn't allow for Dash Clock to be placed on it? That's so bunk =/

Not sure if there's an option for that, but you can keep it running in the pull down notification bar and as a widget on the lock screen.

Yes I know, but sincerely I hate persistent apps notifications in notification bar... I have widget in lockscreen (and from some days ago the widget has change appearance, for me is very ugly...), but I prefer use complete remote from the app... However it's not a problem to click on a button after a few seconds, but if I can skip that screen can be better... Or delete also, and keep only remote

Yea I know what you mean. I actually use IR remote as well, it's handy as it opens straight into the remote after you have used one. I know some people don't like having more than one app for one purpose but it's free and work a look.
