for the nexus 4
wish they would add a new features list and fixes to these.
But on a side note the google advertisment has changed on the nexus 4 from up to 7 hours battery life to 10 hours battery life..
What does this have to do with S3? The 4.2.2 isn't even yet in aosp source code.

Thank you for quoting websites we all browse on a daily basis. Also, thanks for making a new thread about something that doesn't have anything to do with the S3 and it's been discussed in the General thread.

Hi all did abit of reading but i MAY be wrong..
Over at ifa 2012 Samsung showed of the black galaxy s3 LTE Which had jelly bean on it with version number Li7 and our leaked version is on LI2 so that means (maybe) we only have 5 more leaks before its official. I am probably
Wrong lol..
We've kind of seen a leak every 2-5 days so roughly 10–15 days maybe?

You should face a ban if you think like that. Such posts are really cluttering the forum.

Why didn't you ask in that thread then?
Also, have you ever heard of Google?

If you could not find an answer, it probably means there is no answer.
MIUI is on 4.1.2 right now, our phone supports 4.2+ so until MIUI upgrade their base to 4.2, no MIUI for us.

It was said that MIUI for the Nexus 4 would come at the end of april. (Pretty soon ) :good:
I've heard end of April also so we'll see.

MIUI devs are dickheads, so I wouldn't be surprised if they never release MIUI for Nexus 4 despite promising that they will always support Nexus phones.
I've been wondering, what is the absolute most recommended KitKat compatible kernel for battery life, while staying mostly smooth? I personally don't mind a hiccup every now and then, but I just want the best battery life possible. I've been using Faux's 029 kernel and I was impressed, but I felt I shouldn't just settle there if there are better alternatives.
Cheers for any help possible, and my sincerest apology if this is a regularly asked question, but I haven't found an answer.

Okay, massive apology, I don't tend to read that sort of stuff.
I have to admit, I don't read sticky posts most of the time either.
Just try a few kernels and see what you like.

Newb or just a mistake? A lot of the "usage patterns" crap is actually just stuff they make up to avoid spam. Basic stuff like CPU usage and background stuff works on all usage patterns.

All newb! Just about any experienced xda member and smartphone user knows battery life is USER subjective and every device reacts differently to each kernel/rom . So I know you are like 15 but just try and remember important facts like these and that you just posted the number one no no thread hands down besides a eta thread.
PS.. the power of android and custom kernel/Roms is that YOU can flash different combos and then decide what works best for YOU.

Apologies, but assuming most people would want to use the device normally, with the screen on, things like CPU usage aren't entirely pattern based. True, wakelocks and background tasks raise the usage, but the rate at which the clock speed maxes and the rate at which it scales down doesn't usually work based on the way the device is used.

No they work depending on the kernel and how its designed to scale, once again this is kernel dependent, so posting this in the appropriate kernel thread you are using is much wiser.

I posted this in the general section because I thought this section would be more visited. Also, the whole point if the thread is that I'm looking for a good kernel, so of course that stuff is kernel based. I may only be in my teens, and yes I derp A LOT, but I usually know what stuff means.
Go to the Dev sections and find good kernels, its not difficult, read first, use second, post third....

There's a lot to choose from, and since I don't really have time to test them all I asked for advice.

You have more than enough time if you are only 15 there is a lot of life left to live... But really thats not a very good excuse my friend if you have time to make up threads you got time to test. Let me help you download before you go to bed and flash then test the whole day at school.

Have been playing with sense 6 for a month with ARHD rom. It's pretty nice and I would say it's better than 5.5. Have fun with it:laugh:
on Sense 6 (ARHD 70) and loving it ... battery life has increased significantly!
Come on guys lets keep the chatter to a minimum. This thread is about the very important observations of lbroe. He has just discovered Sense 6 and as an xda member since 2008 his opinion is carries a lot of weight. I for one am very excited to hear about how how his download went. This is a big day, let's not spoil it.

Only presumptuous if you assume s/he has any ego tied to the post instead of simply sharing their experience.
OMG, the suspense!
Much Wow,
There was a thread to discuss sense 6 on the M7 and the differences from the version found on the M8, screenshots of the update, and decent discussion without all the "can I update with root" "when is my region getting the update" fluff. That thread got closed within a day as "there is already a thread about updates".............. And this drivel is allowed to exist?
Mods, feel free to clean this comment when you rightly close this thread.

This ROM contains the MoKeeMarket.apk this is a 3rd party app store known for spreading warez. The thread in Android Development was closed for that reason, back in March.
