I want to add to the nav bar in the nexus a 'Menu' button like the button in the Galaxy s3.
There is a way?

Yup custom roms, currently on cm10.1 and I do just that to my nav bar.
I'd also say include a search, it barely takes up any room at all compared to the other keys. I have mine set up like my old Wildfire. Can you not do this on stock rom? I never kept it long eneough to check.

No, you cannot. Most custom roms (cm, aokp, etc) have this feature though.

Hi, I'm looking for a ROM where you can tweak the navigation bar like in AOKP.
Unfortunately I tried last AOKP build but the battery life is horrible (even with franco's kernel).
So do you know any rom with this feature? (Or a flashable zip)
CM10.1 has it.
Where?

It isn't. It's a cherry pick.
It's CM 10.1 + Cherry Picks (Unapproved additions that will be added once approved by CM team). So basically u get features faster that are not yet approved because someone on the team didn't approve of it yet.
Thanks you guys, its perfect!
Should i use the stock kernel?
What do you use?
CM10 stock does have it, in the power menu options
I use Matr1x
Just flashed 20121211 eurosskank cm10.1 and I dont see the option...
Yeah, that is the main feature I am using AKOP for.
If there was a stock ROM with Nav bar button and size mod and status bar mod only, I would totally hit that up
Anyone know how?
looking for the rom that lets you add and rearrange the soft nav buttons. is codename android coming out for n4?

It's there. You have to flash jellybro which is a unofficial release with cherry picks. Check android development the thread is in there. You can flash that Rom on top of Cyanogenmod.
I don't understand why people flash the official one when jellybro has cherry picks of cm features not yet merged yet. Jellybro is so much better.

Hello guys. I just wanna ask. Can I somehow make my bottom button dock transparent? Without the black background. It is rooted, but I don't wanna flash custom ROM. I like the original one. It just needs few tweaks. Thanks for help.

If you're willing to use a custom launcher apex, nova, Apollo, adw, and I'm sure many other will allow you to change this.

Is there another name for this bar? Have tried several launchers, adw, nova etc and have yet to find an option to make this transparent. Be nice to reclaim that space.
Oh I was think you were referring to the dock, where the icons are. If you're talking about the three soft buttons, back, home, recent, then I'm not sure, never looked into it.
Chances are there is a way, but may need a custom rom

Do you mean the navbar? You can make it transparent in the Paranoid Android ROM, not in stock. (Maybe with metamorph...)

I'd like to know, also. Is there some patch I can flash to make this happen?

I was using a custom ROM to move the navigation buttons but last week a few ROMs added swipe Ribbons. Follow this link for a Nexus 10 screen shot with a right hand Ribbon including navigation controls (this is not my screen shot). Ribbons default to auto hide.
With the right custom ROM and swipe Ribbons I always have a full screen with an auto hide navigation bar and notifications. You can just swipe down with one finger to have the notifications display at any time. There are multiple kinds of Ribbons and they are fully configurable (content, position, colors, autohide delay ... etc).
Check in the Developers threads to see which ROMs are supporting swipe Ribbons. I use Buttered +Aroma, follow the link in my signature. I have seen some bugs but for the most part they work well and have already become part of my daily-driver configuration.
My own set up uses a right hand Ribbon for navigation contols and Sidebar for left hand app shortcuts. I had already purchased Sidebar before Ribbons were available.
Edit: Please disregard this post. I've changed to xylon as I simply can't live without this feature. Thanks!
Does anyone know of a mod or anything that implements this feature? This is the only thing I miss from other ROMS. Thank you!

This does not actually answer your question, but what is wrong with the recents button? Are you trying to get rid of the recents button but still have access to the feature? I'm just curious what's going on here.

I'm just used to having 3 navbar buttons, rather than 4. It just seems cluttered in my opinion. So yep, I'm trying to remove the button but still have access by holding the home button.

I've looked around and it appears there are a number of paid apps that apparently let me change the soft keys, but I'm not 100% sure if they'll work with the stock LG G2 "OS"...
I want my multitasking button back... No need for a settings button, IMO.

Absolutely. And I'm handy with UNIX, so navigating the filesystem and using text editors to muck with XML isn't a problem. I'm just not a developer.
Also interested in being able to change it that key to recent apps.

Just tested, no you can not. It will always hide after you lock your screen, so you'll have to swipe/touch to bring the soft keys back up.

And also it will always overlap over the screen. There are ways to keep the navbar from disappearing, but you won't be able to access anythi g underneath it because it doesn't shift the screen up, just overlay

My quasi solution was auto hide soft keys, auto to 0, auto hide only had anywhere on the bar checked, and swipe. You still need to swipe after wake, but if you need anything under it, just tap the left side to hide. If you use the mock option, home will leave space for it.

I use GMD soft keys to hide them completely then use LMT for pie. That way I can completely control my button layout, gain screen real estate, navigate from left right and bottom and do it with whatever colors I choose. A must have for me.
