Hi, I'm looking for a ROM where you can tweak the navigation bar like in AOKP.
Unfortunately I tried last AOKP build but the battery life is horrible (even with franco's kernel).
So do you know any rom with this feature? (Or a flashable zip)
CM10.1 has it.
Where?

It isn't. It's a cherry pick.
It's CM 10.1 + Cherry Picks (Unapproved additions that will be added once approved by CM team). So basically u get features faster that are not yet approved because someone on the team didn't approve of it yet.
Thanks you guys, its perfect!
Should i use the stock kernel?
What do you use?
CM10 stock does have it, in the power menu options
I use Matr1x
Just flashed 20121211 eurosskank cm10.1 and I dont see the option...
Yeah, that is the main feature I am using AKOP for.
If there was a stock ROM with Nav bar button and size mod and status bar mod only, I would totally hit that up
Anyone know how?
looking for the rom that lets you add and rearrange the soft nav buttons. is codename android coming out for n4?

It's there. You have to flash jellybro which is a unofficial release with cherry picks. Check android development the thread is in there. You can flash that Rom on top of Cyanogenmod.
I don't understand why people flash the official one when jellybro has cherry picks of cm features not yet merged yet. Jellybro is so much better.

Does Rasbeanjelly have brightness slider? I really like this feature and use it more often than i thought i would, now i can't live without it. can anyone out there using rasbeanjelly share a screenshot or just in words what kind of notification customisation options are available? thanks
No slider I'm aware of, just an option to toggle different levels of brightness in the notification bar.

I mean the AOKP style slider, but this should work. Is there a theme out there which has a percentage to indicate the brightness? I use to have one of these but then I lost it.

No. It has the cm brightness slider. And I don't think there are any mods that add a percentage to it.

I've been using it for just over a month trying both Franco's kernel and the trinity kernel with very little time on the stock kernel. I've had three crashes in the last three weeks. Two of which may have been my fault for not fixing permissions after flashing a new kernel.
Edit: fixing Sig in text issue.

And as YOU can see it has ROM control which is part of AOKP not CM and rascarlo only uses CM code which means no part of AOKP is available.

it has nothing to do with ROM control. this theme is built with the t-mobile theme engine, so in theory it works on any rom with that feature: pa, cm10 and most other roms. all i am doing is a proof of concept, it is achievable, even though most themes dont have them.
give this a try: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1655946
So I'm getting a nexus 4 today and I'm curious which ROMs have the ability to hide or make the on screen buttons smaller? I know paranoid and aokp do but that's all so far.

Xylon does, CM probably has expanded desktop.
Any MOD can do that ?
ParanoidAndroid AOSPA as well
Thanks for the replies. Does anyone know for sure if CM10.1 does that? I have to have a rom that does that I hate the buttons so big.

Yup custom roms, currently on cm10.1 and I do just that to my nav bar.
I'd also say include a search, it barely takes up any room at all compared to the other keys. I have mine set up like my old Wildfire. Can you not do this on stock rom? I never kept it long eneough to check.

Threre is a chance not to install CM 10 and enjoy from customize nav bar?
This is a mod how to enable navigation bar(on screen
buttons) , its very simple and easy...
Warring: if you mess something dont blame me.
Add the following line at the end of buid.prop file
qemu.hw.mainkeys=0
now on reboot we will have nav-bar like on nexus 4
To turn off capacitive buttons:
Go to system/use/key layout/ synaptics-rmi-touchscreen.kl
Long press it and click open with text editor
Delete everything there
Reboot.
To turn of capacitive button lights:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.deskangel.kblight
Or
This will mess your screen brightness and it will stay on 100% all the time. You have to use screen filter app from play store or some other app to control the brightness of your screen.
Go to system/lib/hw
There find lights.msm8960.so
Rename it to (whatever you want)
Reboot.

To turn off the lights you can just edit framework-res.apk.

This is only applicable to AOSP/CM ROMs this won't work on sense based ROMs.

Here you go, if your rooted, extract this and put it in etc/init.d to turn off your lights on boot.
Or, just execute it with root explorer.

I only managed to get a nav bar by using PA, fiddling with build.prop never gave me a nav bar GPE or anything else.

I think I read on the s4 forums that they also can't get this going with stock based roms (touchwizz and gpe), something about the lines of code for this to happen being removed or not there.
From personal experience, I could only get the navbar on pa. Another person on a thread enabled it on a cm based ROM.
So in the end, yes, it seems the only way to get the nab bar working is a cm based ROM. Its a pity cause that means we'll be giving up:
* good speakers - missing beats audio
* ir blaster and fantastic TV app.
* blink feed
* slightly better camera optimizations
Anyone able to recommend a cm based ROM ? Or at least alternative apps for the problems above?

Nope....doesn't work on Sense-based or GPE. Tried it like........I lost count. I kinda savvy it too. However, even on a Touchwiz I can't produce it. So probaly it only works on CM or CM based roms.
You know, like in MIUI v5? Is there any ziptheme mod, or does anyone know what do I have to edit to have those icons on the left side of the staus bar?
Thanks in advance.
I also REALLY want this. I'm surprised no one has already made this happen, it seems like a no brainer customisation feature.

Great find
I found something similiar, involved editing xml files after decompiling sytemUI, but for an older Android version, so it didn't work. I will decompile his file and check for differences.
I'm currently working on modifying the systemUI.xml of my PA rom which should work on most AOSP roms. I'm trying to adjust icon dimensions to allow for a larger signal strength icon to simulate the new ios7 dot style signal strength icon. Not that relevant... But while I'm there I'll see if I can't make a simple switch sides mod.
Make a paint image or something or find a screen shot of exactly what you want or what side and such. I don't want to forget icons.
