Hi
Number of people have reported that their nexus 4 screen was cracked when it was in your pocket in a movie theater or during at night, when they didn't even touch the phone, in the mourning found cracked screen.
Like should I be worried?
I have bought http://www.goballisticcase.com/prod...ries-case?mc_cid=5f24a46626&mc_eid=cc5d59156b and I think it will protect if from a drop.
But RANDOM crack screen is worrying me.

Hi,
1. Well, the title is quite clear, have you noticed dust or any other particles collected under the glass on the display of yor HD2 screens?
2. I have seen quite a few videos on Youtube showing the how scratch resistant the HD2 screen is, well i just want to know, is that really so. Could i use the HD2 without screen protector?
Thanks
1. I don't have dust particles, I use my device 16 hours per day
2. I don't use a screen protector and still have no scratches. The screen is really scratch resistent in my opinion.
screen is veeerrry good
the screen is very very good, i have dropped it on its face loads and no scratches...
But i did drop it once and a tiny chip in the glass appeared as in missing haha..
i really should stop dropping my phone grrrrrr
Insuranceeeeeeeeeeeee!
Hello,
I just bought an hd2, and I'm scared of sliding it in my jean pockets. Don't want to ruin the awesome 4.3 screen, so Is it really ok to place it in jeans? ( Not tight tight jeans, but normal ones lol)
Do you have a screen protector? I had my HD2 without a screen protector for a couple months and it always rode in my jean pockets. The only time my screen received any form of damage to it is when it slipped out of my hand and fell on the ground and went sliding on its screen. I now have two tiny scratches on the screen. You'll have no problem with it in your jeans but I would strongly suggest getting a screen protector in cause you should drop it like I did.
Yes, I have a screen protector applied on the screen.

Well then your completely safe. Even without a protector the screen themselves are built tough. Very scratch resistant. Its not the same type of glass/plastic they use for say, a Blackberry.
Just always use a screen protector and put the phone in your pocket empty, and screen side facing your leg. You don't want the screen facing outwards. I know this sounds obvious but its amazing if you watch at work how many people put their new smartphones in their pockets screen out just waiting to bump into a table corner.
Hey everone. I bought a Galaxy s4 recently about two weeks ago. I love this phone alot and had not bought a screen protector or a cover yet (boy was that a mistake). One day will walking my dog, I was talking to a friend. The phone was on my ear. Suddenly, my dog jerked really hard and the phone fell out of my hand. The glass is cracked, well more like shattered. Im not very good with phones and would like to ask if it is Cracked Glass or Cracked LCD ? The phone turns on and works perfectly like the first day I bought it. The touchscreen also works on top of the cracked glass. I have seen some LCD's on Ebay for around $200 which I cant afford. But when I searched " Samsung Galaxy s4 Glass " I came up with some results that were far cheaper. So does anyone know what it is ? Cracked Glass or Cracked LCD ? And if it is cracked glass or lcd, where can I find a replacement for cheap (I live in the U.S.). Thank you all.

From my understanding the amoled display and glass are glued together as a unit, if either one is cracked you must replace the whole screen
Yep unfortunately you must get the whole front panel replaced.
Sent from my GT-I9505 using xda premium
My phone (the screen in particular) is hot almost all the time.
My fingers are actually hurt from touching the screen.
it has started recently.
Would you recommend to replace the screen (LCD)?
Can the glass screen protector has something to do with if? Although I have it since ever
Thx a lot guys
Hi all,
Prospective 6P owner here. I've a question for those of you that have broken the glass on your 6P.
Regrettably, I've ended up dropping and breaking the last two types of phones I've owned—OnePlus One followed by Moto X Pure. Even more regrettably, both of their displays were designed such that the digitizer breaks with the glass, so broken phone = no more touch input. I think may head my explode if I continue blundering my way around my phone with volume switch control and google now, so I am motivated to purchase a phone that still works when the glass is broken.
Does the 6P fit the bill?
Thanks—
No. When my glass cracked the display wouldn't even turn on. Might be different for others as it wasn't the smallest of impacts
It all depends on impact? Watch youtube drop test video of 6p against iphone, 6p gets smashed touchscreen still works, but it can go either way. I think its the same with all modern smartphones due to the way they are built. If you keep braking your screens just buy a case and tempered glass protector...
It depends on the degree & point of impact
I've dropped the phone several times and only had a cracked screen once. Everytime I dropped it there was a Tempered Glass on it and the Tempered Glass cracked.
The one time I cracked the screen, the phone fell down screen first while I was taking it out of my pocket. So about a 3.5ft drop. This time the point of impact was on the edge of the lower speaker grill. The phone fell on the road with a bit of gravel. I reckon it was a piece of gravel that had the direct impact on the screen. The touchscreen was working perfectly & I used it for a couple of days before I gave it for repairs.
In any case, the service center replaces the entire display panel, even if the screen is working properly.
I'd recommend investing in an insurance. In India, insurance costs INR 3,000 (approx $45) & the screen replacement costs INR 14,380 (approx $212).
All the best!
