Zoe Rom by LeoPosas invalid zip - GT540 Optimus General

The zip file in the Android dev host is invalid
Can you re-load the file?
Thanks

Youre updating via fastboot or recovery?
I recommended install as shown in leo's video
Anyway, the one in dev host is for fastboot, while in android file and ubunto one is zip flashable thru recovery..
Check MD5 if you download file correctly

zip works fine

Recovery image

For some reason I am not able to load the recovery images so that I can flash the rom to Madaco's ui.
When I download the recovery image it downloads as a .IMG I have unzipped it and put in in my superboot folder, run command and find the folder, but it does nothing.
Is there a special application to download .IMG? I have tried winzip a few others.
I have also used the Terminal Emulator and placed the file directly on my SDcard and opened the file from there, but nothing happens.
Any Suggestions???
Thanks in advance.
wrong place to ask a ?
you are really totally wrong here. also, if the *.img file is in a *.zip file it probably means it has been made into a update.zip that can be flashed... i can be wrong though...
in general, nothing here that has *.zip extension is generally to be opened with WinZip... the *.zip files here are update zips that can be flashed (e.g. a ROM, a radio, etc.).
best advice would be to guide you to Amon_Ra's recovery image thread (first page of Nexus One Android Development).
you can also search "Amon_Ra"
there is the topic recovery image
Everything you need is in this thread.

which Rom you're trying to flash? make sure that the zip file is right, or is there another zip in the zip file?
Solution found - automatically opened zip files in safari

I think I have found the solution. I figured there might happen something with the zip files after they are downloaded when my Mac OS X Yosemite opens them (I re-compress the folders usually and transfer the new zip file to an external SD.) So I turned off safe opening on safari preferences, re-downloaded the rom (this time: Pac Man ROM), flashed, and it worked like a charm!
So either you're running Mac or Windows, auto-expanding might cause trouble with the zip files.
I hope others will find this helpful as well.
Merry xmas!

1) You are trying to flash a factory image with a custom recovery. Factory images can only be flashed with fastboot.
2) This is the forum for Nexus 7(2013) razor. You will probably find more help when the mods move this to the proper forum.
Moved to the correct forum.

Newer threads/tutorials on making system.img to zip

Trying to flash CopperheadOS with multirom on N6P.
But I can't flash the image in TWRP so I'm trying create a flashable zip.
But problem is all the guides and tutorial are very outdated (with most of them mentioning "Android Kitchen")
Where should I go to find help for this?
/Omen
If you are on the latest TWRP, you can flash an image file to the system partition by clicking the Install Image button when selecting a file to install.

That way doesn't work because I use multirom, it has a modified TWRP (it's still the latest version doh)
Sorry for shameful bump but I can't find an answer whatsoever

In what I have been able to find there was a META-INF folder that was a part of the back-ups now all I see from my stock backup is .win files, not tar.md5
Now I can guess that the naming is still similar so can you compress the system.ex4 files and have the same process with a file format change.

Invalid zip format Galaxy Tab A6 (SM-T285)

I downloaded this ROM in this link , but when I try to install with TWRP (my version is 3.2.1-1) show this fail message "Invalid zip file format".
What I supposed to do?

invalided zip can mean all sorts of things
The zip is corrupted - download the zip file again
The zip is not meant for your phone
You have incorrectly edited the zip
The updater script is incorrect
The update binary is not for your phone
The zip is not a flashable zip - look inside and make sure there is a META-INF folder - if not its definitely not a flashable zip
