Hello,
I am currently developing a new app for Windows Mobile. It is using different pieces of open source code that I Grab here and there.
This app is not yet finnished, but a lot of things are working fine on my PC.
Before continuing I would like to give it a try on the PPC emulator.
I thought I would easily find a way to convert the whole project to "smart device", but didn't find !
How to do that ? do yuou know the trick ?
Thanks for your help,
Impossible. But you can find a nice article on MSDN about this.

The .Net Compact Framework (used for Windows Mobile) just supports a subset of the features that are implemented in the full .Net Framework.

It is meant to be a cross platform framework. But as mentioned above, the .NETCF supports a subset of the .NET Framework.
You're able to build an application which can run on both applications, but then you're limited to the .NETCF.
Converting is possible, by hand. Not automatically. Try to open the solution and copy/paste parts from your desktop-application to a device-application.

In this case i guess the best way is to install the app from the Windows Store, you can do it from this link:
Music App - Windows Store
Hope this helps.
Edit: I just noticed that microsoft locked the download of the app.
Argony.
I think a way to handle it would be to "upgrade" to the same version of windows (fx RTM), or just try to "repair" your windows with the windows setup files

But that would mean a reinstall right...? All my data will be gone...
@Argony: locked down meaning? I can't install it anyways as its only made for ARM devices..I was trying a workaround but turns out MS already thought of that..

That post explains the way to install a file .appx (Windows Store App) that is not cryptographically signed.
In my opinion, you must wait till the official release of windows 8, microsoft must publish an alternative, or, the same app for x86 - x64.
(In alternative try this app Multimedia 8 - Windows Store)

at first days of publishing 8.1 update Appx files weren't encrypted and it was possible to browse code and see all contents .
but now application assemblies are all encrypted and you can't reverse engineering , Deploy and etc. them .

hahah , me too
Isn't piracy guys. The app isn't paid. Is just... Beta for all.
check PM
Closing thread.
Since this isn't a public beta, asking for ways to sideload a private beta on to your phone is on that gray-line leaning towards piracy.
Hi. I just wanna know if there's a way to crack appx/appxbundle apps so that the backup of those app files can be deployable once again. The reason why I post this is because of the WP Store already dead.... Also we might need an alternative store for WP 8.1 users.
