With Solid Explorer? Try a different file manager. You could always just upload the backup to the cloud and download it on your PC lol

how lol?
btw i have to copy all the clockwork folder or just the folder inside the backup folder?
i guess i need also the blob folder with all that files in it..

Just the backup folder. If you open up the blobs folder inside there will be many more EMPTY folders (at least for me).

If restoring it on your other Nexus worked, then you don't need the blob folder.

i get error while restoring system...
maybe because i'm trying to restore the nandroid in another nexus 4? or it doens't matter?

Check the permissions in your mnt/sdcard whether owner and group are root and the there are full read write permissions.
You can always cloud upload and download and
Yes you need the blobs folder. I assume you have cwm6 and the blobs folder has important files..

If I remember right the serial number is encoded within the backup location on CWM, so you need to rename the backup directory to the serial number of your new device.

Not sure what you mean by this. My CWM backups are in the path clockworkmod\backup\'Date/Time' name of folder\(six files in folder). No serial number is evident.
My only problem restoring cwm backups was when I renamed one and put spaces in the folder name.

You can't put spaces in between the letters. Just rename it.

Mnt>shell is empty on my stock ROM
I had cwm made many backups and just changed to twrp but my internal storage is all filled up and I cannot field the previous backups to delete... Any help?
I am having this same problem too and am searching for solution... I have asked all over the forum and also googled but to no avail. Help please....
Need to search harder...

But my /data folder is empty. I use root explorer and couldn't find anything in /data folder. Was previously looking for WPA_supplicant for my ap list also....
I am currently using root explorer and es explorer v3. ES explorer v3 doesn't have the root settings. I'll download the stable version from play store and try.
Update : I've got it working. This means only es explorer can see CWM backup and wpa_supplicant

Yes it does as I'm using it! Seriously, follow EVERY instruction on my post and look at the pictures
I did some testing on my own. Root explorer works too. Just need to toggle r/w from root location. Data folder populated after that. As for the latest es explorer v3, toggling root explorer will enable data folder contents to be viewed.

Re,
In your file explorer have you a setting like "view or show hidden folders / files"? If yes tick the option maybe...
Also look at /data/media/clockworkmod/backup.

the new ones i can see in the gallery, but the old ones still cant, all the picture in the same folder !!
1. Copy them (not the parent folder) to another file or off device
2. Reboot
3. Copy back to device original folder
4. Reboot

[Q] Nandroid Backup Hidden

I finally got fed up with reliability issues of CM (system crashing/freezing/etc) so I'm going back to stock (and I'm using the most current stable version). I took a stock backup in February using TWRP but find CWM to be more reliable so I use that now. I took a backup of the CM install today, using CWM, before doing anything, but I cannot find it. It doesn't appear in /sdcard/clockworkmod/backups although when using CWM, I can view past backups and even restore from them and it's saying it's coming from that directory. Any clues as to how to view these backups so I can copy them to my PC?
I granted my file manager root access so that shouldn't be the issue. It only shows a downloads folder under the clockworkmod folder, no backups folder with the actual backups in them.
Thanks for the help,
Spike
Did you check for any hidden files? Or maybe any other folder.
