[Q] Root without computer - Nexus 10 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi,
is there any way to root Nexus 10 without computer? Since N10 is not sold in my country, I plan to buy it during our vacation, at the beginning. Is it possible to root it directly from the device (or with help of Android mobile phone), without PC?
Thanks

File recovery

Hello guys.
I am a happy owner of a Note 4 N910F. Bought it recently and i love it.
Today, i accidentaly deleted some audio files, some rec's i had and they were stored in internal memory. I googled alot and tried some Unroot solutions (since my Note4 is unrooted) and i'm having no luck and what i find is old so i hope i can get help from you guys.
It has Marshmallow and, since it is only 4 months old, i dont want to root it (someone told me i lose warranty if i do it). Is there any way i can search for those deleted audio files without root?
Thanks
Enable USB debugging on your Note 4, connect it to your computer and try running data recovery software on it. If you haven't written any new data onto the internal memory of your Note 4. There is a chance that you can still recover the files this way.

root access without PC (Odin)?

Was just wondering if there was any workaround to gain root access for the S7 edge G935V (Snapdragon) without a PC.
I want to be able to use Substratum for my phone, however, my computer just completely broke and I don't have access to it. Ugh.
Not necessarily looking to flash a new rom like G935U, just wondered if there was any casual workaround for this.
Cheers.
Nothing you can do without a PC. Sorry mate.

Is a PC required to root Samsung Galaxy Sky SM-S320VL?

So I just got this phone after my old phone (which couldn't be rooted at all) got dropped too many times, and I'm eager to see if this can be rooted. I did see a guide here, but I'm wondering if it's possible to do it on the phone itself as I don't have access to a PC where I can download files required for rooting.

Noob question re bought half-rooted phone & poss issues if keep way it is?

I just bought what was meant to be a new factory unlocked HTC 10 online but it's actually half-rooted phone that was Sprint branded. As in Malwarebytes and Android Pay claim it's rooted but Root Checker says it's not rooted properly.
I'm also unable to open any free apps that require rooting (i.e., Titanium back up, Super SU), and checking for the latest Android software on my phone has a never-ending busy signal. Thus, I'm unable to wait for update to Oreo when it's released in a few months to unroot the noob way? I'm currently running Nougat.
I'd prefer the phone to be unrooted but I guess my concern is that if I revert the phone back I may not able to use the phone as it may be locked to Sprint? (I'm an Australian user). Is there anyway I can check this with the phone the way it is at the moment? If I just leave the phone not rooted correctly what issues will I run into while using the phone for next few years? What convenience apps (besides Android Pay) won't work?
Note: I'm also not keen on returning the phone as it's too much hassle and don't have a decent back up phone.
