Problems Rooting - Galaxy Y GT-S5360 and Duos 6102 Q&A, Help & Troubl

Hello all
I can't find a way to root my phone, everything i try seems to fail
SuperOneClick - Fail at Step 7
UnlockRoot - Fail (cant get shell access)
Applying Multi Root Installer.zip via Recovery - Says ''Installing Root App'' forever , and when i Click Next it says everything is fine and reboots, but still unrooted
Runme.bat - Super Fail
update.zip - Says something like (after fails , i can only read this)
'''...ice'') == ''GT-B75101'' ||
getprop(''ro.product.product'') == ''GT-B7510''
E: Error in /tmp/sideload/package.zip
(Status 7)
Installation aborted.
Anyone knows whats causing this?

Try another update.zip
Or
Try to flash stock rom...
Then use update .zip..to root
** rooting is new for me,
nd i am a noob to root....**

The problem is , Rooting wasnt this difficult!
Rooting on the first time was east, Rooting on JellyBlast was easy , but after i flashed stock ROM to rollback JellyBlast V3 (i have tried 2 stock ROMS already) , it seems impossible to root

Are you using gt-5360 because that message looks like it can't identify your phone as that
What I do to get round that is flash any custom rom eg whitexp cm7 or jb V3 after a data wipe
And data wipe again after install
I then find you have the correct build prop for aroma install to flash correctly

It actually detects my phone, but something is blocking my phone from rooting... must dicover what

I have tried another update.zip and its worked!
I really dont know what was causing this, but with this ways it should have worked
Anyway, thanks for everyone who tried to help me
Plz close this thread

When you changed your baseband so did the method needed for rooting like me I have a s5360l and the regular rooting file doesn't work when I flashed another firmware s5360 my old update.zip didn't work and I had to use the regular 1

1 thing while installing suser i can't get right is this:
Maybe i'm writing in the wrong command or i have a misspelling somewhere?
Would you mind writing all the commands here at the forum's?

Added CF-ROOT Method !
Please help...
Hello, first of all, i would like to say thank you so much for your noob proof guide on rooting SGS3. I successfully rooted my SGS3 by following your method (and i am a noob haha).
But, i have a problem now, my phone keep reminding me to update my firmware, and i couldn't do it. From what i read, its because my phone is rooted.
So, now i want to un-root my phone, but i am so confuse because so much info out there. I try to read it over and over but i still not understand (i am a noob).
So, i need your help to guide me to unroot my phone. I am not using the CF-Root, i am using the first method you posted on this thread.
Please help me... i dont know what to do. :crying:
Thank you so much for your help, i really appreciate it

Reinstall Google Play Services

I'm trying to reinstall Google Play Services as some apps - like and expecially - youtube doesn't work anymore...
I tried to uninstall (the apk is in /system/app, maybe from JellyBlast?), linking to sd and then remove.. Nothing.
In Google Play, when I try to install (is in the folder but not seems to be installed) says "conflict with other apps that share the same ID" (or something similiar)
I think the only solution is to push again in the phone via adb but I'm not very sure about the commands.
I haven't been able to get it installed the only rom i tried where it worked was repencis also u don't need it for YouTube when u see the error just hit back and use YouTube if it is signing in u want to do then downgrade to YouTube 4.1.2.3 you can find it here

[Q] downgrade 4.1 jellyblast to original gingerbread in samsung galaxy y

I have samsung galaxy y S5360 and installed jelly-blast v-3 in it.
It is awesome and working properly without any error and any problem
but I want get back my original version android 2.3.5 gingerbread.
can anyone help me out.?
details of kernel and base-band is here :
base band version is S5360DDKJ2
kernel version is 2.6.35.7
Didn't you back up your Rom using CWM?
Sent from my GT-S5360 using xda app-developers app
To answer two points jelly blast is gingerbread - it just has the info Modded to say 4.1
You can either flash any other custom rom via cwm following the instructions on the Rom thread
Or go back stock 'original out of box' rom by flashing it via odin from the instructions on dokys thread
yeah its only writen in the buildprop, when needet i can write i have android 8,lol and why the hell you will get back to 2.3.5?we have 2.3.6 a long time????
anyway as markus sayd just flash latest odinflash firmware from doky73 and than flash next custom rom when needet, thats better.
retro android device!!!!

Y do people do that he's obviously new which means he didn't know what those words means
Anyways
Jellyblast does not change your android version your android version is stored in a editable file meaning you can simply edit that file and your phone will display a different android version without having the necessary underlying changes the actual android version that jellyblast is on is 2.3.6 so I guess u can call it downgrading in that regard anyways to do this you'll have to flash stock Rom using odin the explanation of that is here

[Q] Help needed with rooting the octacore unlocked variant of the phone

So first of all I used this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=40747604 (MOTOCHOPPER thingy) to root my phone, I'm attaching the screenshots of the process ( the superuser app said it was outdated and when I tried to update it gave the message shown in the attachment below ) I know this that this motochopper process hasn't worked for many other S4 users who received a stability update some time ago. So, what do I do next ? could anybody link me to the complete process to fix this ? if I need to unroot this partially rooted phone before trying another root process, if yes then how ? Thank you:fingers-crossed :

Why did you use that. It's for Qualcomm-based variants of S4 (I9505).
He already mentioned that MOTOCHOPPER is for Qualcomm-based variants of the Samsung Galaxy S4.
Your phone is I9500 and probably INDIAN.
Use this to root your device.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2292615
And I think you are really new to rooting or flashing.
Then please do not flash anything you see on Google. First try to learn what exactly are you doing and how this actually work.
You might get your phone brick if you flash any file you see.
Yes, indeed, I'm new to this. Thank you
Another thing, I saw you use 9500 too, did you notice that the share via option in the music player has been missing in our phones ? I remember fine that it was there when I bought it, last time I used it was around a month ago, but now it is just gone, it is present in my note 2 but not in S4. Is this due to the stabilty update we recieved ?
