[Q] What's the best Calendar widget? - Nexus 7 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have been looking for a calendar widget that looks good, can be customized with different themes, and most importantly can be re-sized to take up the whole screen. My favorite with the Galaxy Nexus has been Pure Grid Calendar but the biggest widget they have does not cover the whole screen in portrait mode for the Nexus 7.
Any good one that you guys are using? Here is a picture of what Pure Grid Calendar looks like on my Nexus 7...I want it to be bigger
Edit: photo upload doesn't work but I want a full screen calandar

I've been using Agenda Widget for years, starting from my Nexus One all the way to my GNex and N7. Lots of customization available, to the point there may be too many options Not sure if can size to full screen though, but most likely can.

What are the best tablet size (5x1 or more) widgets? Especially weather forecast.

I find that very few apps/widgets that I have offer a 5x1 or more size.
I can only name HD Widgets as one. Which ones d'you have installed on your Note?
Can anyone recommend a good weather/forecast widget with tablet size available?
I find that using ADW Launcher Ex's widget/icon resizing helps but sometimes makes poor resolution or such more noticeable. Unfortunate. Also, resizing doesn't offer more information to be included. So native support is still the most useful!

Android Pro Widgets and Jorte both have nice 5x5 widgets.
No luck yet for weather, though...
Give "3D Flip Clock and World Weather" a try. I've been using it since I got my note.
I use beautiful widgets and the weather widget on there is pretty nice.

I'm digging 'Snowstorm Weather' although it's only 4x1 - I am using Go Launcher so just resize it to 5x1 and it still looks great.
I am using " beautiful widgets ", works very well with Note. See my screen shot.

I'm using beautiful widgets as well, it has a 5x2 superclock widget.
@skyhew, what skin are you using and which widget gives you the controls on the screen?
Edit nevermind Skyhew. I think you are using HD widgets and I found the settings for those

What lockscreen do you use?

Try to make my lock screen more efficient or helpful. I have been trying several lock screen replacements/widgets recently. Wondering if I am missing any good ones and wonder what everyone else uses?
Stock? Stock w/dashclock? Widget locker? Cover? Start? Other? Let me know, thanks!

I tried cover, I don't understand peek really. I mean I get it, you can peek at the app, but you can only see so much before you have dragged it to the point where it just unlocks. And I don't have a lot of variation in my useage, so my apps list was mostly the same no matter where I was. I do like that it can change wallpapers based on where you are though. If they could incorporate the ability to change lockscreen widgets based on location that might make it better for me.
I like dashclock widget, but I hate that I have to expand it in order to actually click on my message to open into the messaging app. But I think I found an xposed mod to fix that, gonna try it out.

How many screens of apps do you have?

I was having a clear out of apps the other day and when speaking to other people in my office that i seem to have very few apps in comparison.
I love a minimilistic look and i suppose that carrys over even to the app screens for me, so i currently have 3 app screens and any time I install something new, i try to delete something i dont use as much to keep it that way.
So, how many screens of apps do you have?
i use the "smart launcher" so only 1 screen really. I went from being a widget crazed android user with 7 screens, to finding the minimalist and simple look of smart launcher
All i need is there.
I have an app draw
were all just evolved organism's
5 pages here with at least one widget each

Dual-use Navbar Icons

HI, I'm scissors_cut_paper. I have recently taken a disliking to sacrificing my home screen real estate for a dock. I am currently using slimkat, which has the ability to assign a long press function and custom icon to navbar buttons. To that end, I have created some dual use navbar icons, based on stock kitkat, but representing both functions of the navbar key. Now i'm no themer, but paint.net is pretty easy to use. If anyone has good ideas or request I may entertain them, though I would recommend having a play yourself.
To set these keys/icons in slimkat use settings/navigation/navigation bar/buttons.
The current icons I have made are-
Notification pulldown/longpress Quicksettings (Never reach for the top of your screen again)
Back/longpress kill app
Home/longpress application draw
Recents/longpress menu
Filemanager/longpress ?
Download - https://www.dropbox.com/sh/v9sz5sco0bdrue0/f_9QvTcLcT
All credits to slim for implementing the functionality, all i did was make some buttons.
Video of implementing (not everyone will need this, took me a while to figure it out though) http://youtu.be/ist7kSStb9k
Video in use - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wv88dWqbkcQ
want to share your wallpaper pl0x?
No problem

any videos on you using it? Im interested...
YouTube link added in OP. Can do a quick video of how to implement (in slimkat, anyway) if anyone needs? Also did some cleanup, changed file explorer icon to better match stock theme.

Very nice man...your wallpaper is taking many threads by storm now too...
Slimkat also has navring features for those who don't like docks.

Still trying to figure out what I want to do with my ring.I've got shortcuts set up in the QS, combined with the pulldown button in navbar means they appear right above where your finger already is.

Notification Panel by Mathieu Croset - Nexus 5

Hi there,
I found these screenshots of a custom notification panel on dribbble.com ! I think it is just awesome !
I wondering if it is possible to have this on my nexus 5 ? It is a mod ? A theme ? Or something else ?
Thanks.
Niiiiiiiiice

it looks almost exactly like ios
kinda reminds me of miui
Pretty sure its just a custom homescreen, its possible with Zooper.
Sent from my Nexus 5
Yes that is a home screen. Probably done with Zooper as stated above. You can Google some pretty awesome zooper layouts. Just download them from the web and customize to your liking. It is kind of difficult at first, but you'll get the hang of it. It's for power users I'd say. You can customize pretty much anything how you want for your home screen.
Hi
Take an eye on this
Yes pretty sure it's UCCW or Zooper but it's a homescreen.. Not possible to do that on the notification panel.
Nexus 5 tapatalked
I saw this theme back then with buzz launcher. Or if that was aviate i forgot lol.
