I've recently tried to enter my Visa Debit Card (TD) and Google Play denied it over and over again. If anyone could help me out, please do so. It will be GREATLY appreciated.

I dont live in Toronto, but I had the same issue with TD Debit being declined. Those visa debit cards are crappy. Try Zoompass visa. Its free, no fees and it works with google play. Although it will take couple of weeks for you to get it and Nexus will be released next week .

Just get a prepaid visa from Rexall or TD bank. You are use prepaid visa card on internet.

TD Doesn't work. Apparently any Canadian Visa's that aren't full CC Visa's won't work with GWallet. That's just how it is, and I gave up.
I'd love to order from the Playstore, but I have no choice. Hands are tied.
And I'm not risking $400 on a card that'll be nothing more than plastic.

Swyped on my Galaxy Nexus running AOKP with Franco Kernel

Parents don't have CC's. They're the classic Asian "but my friend used a CC online and got scammed" case. Too bad their friends are idiots and can't use a CC properly, and decide to buy some type of messed up product and end up screwing up their cards. Or they say that the companies rip them off when they clearly didn't read the contract.
Anyways, I'm still looking for someone to help me out. If there's anyone who's willing to do this for sure, I'd be very thankful.

How to buy Nexus 4 (or whatever) from Google Play Store *Outside* US

Ok, as I promised, here it is! A full and complete, auto-explanatory thread, that will give you all directions how to buy anything from Google Play Store, even if you'll not located on US :laugh!!! :laugh:
First, a little common Q&A:
1 - Q: Is that that possible?
A: Yes, not just possible but very usual and operative.
2 - Q: Is that easy?
A: Double easy, just some steps.
3 - Q: Is that safe?
A: Relativity, yes. Living is not safe at all.
4 - Q: Will I need to move to US?
A: Of course not. Neither asking someone from there for buying that for you.
5 - Q: Does it needs an US credit card?
A: No.
6 - Q: Does it needs an International credit card?
A: Yes.
7 - Q: Will Google ship my device outside US?
A: No, sorry. If you dont know someone that can take and deliver it to you, you'll need some forwarding service as US BOX, etc.
8 - Q: Is that Legal?
A: I never had trouble with that, but I have to be honest here: No. Let me explain: Google Terms and Services which is found on http://play.google.com/intl/en-US/about/terms.html , read item 3.1. ; Also, you might read on http://play.google.com/intl/en-US/about/music-terms.html , item 5.2. But if you live outside US and have an Google Music account, Google Voice or whatever Google service that is only provided on US, you already stepped on these terms. However, you may want to create a new Google Account for doing this, avoiding any risks.
Well, have to advise you're the only responsible for your acts from here. You're aware of that..

This method consists on faking you're living on US. For doing that, we'll need an International credit card for purchasing the product, an Google Account + Google Wallet account for accessing Play Store, and a tool which will fake an US environment. On purpose of adding security layers, you may need some additional tools and steps.
1 - Assuming you're already registered on Play Store and Google Wallet, log on at wallet.google.com and click on "Payment methods".
Click "Add Card" or Account (add new credit or debit card)
Fill all fields with your card info, except "Address", which will attribute special attention.
On "Adress", you will need to set an US valid address. Google doesnt checks if is it US credit card - they cannot does that because many people that born on their countries, have accounts on theirs countries, jobs on US. Doesnt have US credit card or credit count, but have an US Address.That in mind, Google checks billing address.
Ok, that was the first step. Done? Great!
Now, because since Google released Music Store, their's security system "checks" your IP location for only agreeing to give access for US residents, we'll need to pretend there we are. Google will check this condition on some cases while you're logged on restrictive services as Music, Device Stores, etc, e.g when you will click to purchase something, or paying something, etc. That said, we'll need to keep logged as US resident until we get finished with what we're purposed to do.
Also, there are several way for doing that step (VPN, Proxies, etc) but I'll teach only one here - the one I think is most balanced between safe and easy to use.
EDIT: You can use Unotelly also. Its easier to configure. www.unotelly.com
The way is TOR. If you dont know TOR, pls research about it. You'll need to know some tips for running this the way we want, but basically, you'll need an US secure fingerprint. I recommend you chose an server thats is running on secure ports as 443 HTTPS, but despite all TOR data is cryptography, keep in mind that its not a guarantee that you're are safe, as you're still vulnerable to attacks techniques such as man-in-the-middle.
Also, you can read this for doing that http://www.guptamayank.com/how-to/change-ip-address-to-any-country-specific-ip-address-tor Otherwise, you'll need to be clicking on "Use new identity" every time 'till you find an US identity.
If you arent comfortable to use TOR, I'll have to advice you that its the safer free way, in my opinion, since you know well the fingerprint you're using. You also may want to pay some VPN service, or ask someone that lives on US for providing its computers as proxy for you, whatever.
Also, you may want to use Tails, which is the most complete and safe solution for that. Free. You'll need to download and burn it, so boot from it.
2 - Download and configure (or keep switching identities) TOR : https://www.torproject.org/download/download.html.en
Launch TOR. Be sure you're using an US fingerprint and access play.google.com
3 - Now you can test if you're able to purchase something on US Google Play Store. You can do that by adding some free music. Free songs are counted and listed as *US$0.00* on Wallet. It will prove that you done.
Now that you notice you can purchase any books, songs, movies, on Play Store, you'll such as able to purchase devices as well.
As I said early, Google doesnt ships devices outside US. Find some forwarding service or ask someone on US to take it for you. No doubt that asking some friend for doing that is the cheaper choice, as you'll may need to pay taxes when device arrives in your country. But some forwarding services are very skilled on avoiding these taxes when product gets the customs.
4 - Have a nice shopping!

Well, here we would have a problem, but, notice that is same statement that rules the Music Store, and you're able to purchase songs. So, I dont expect any further issue on doing that.

I know many people did this way for purchasing Nexus 7, Google always check the billing address country with the billing address in the file of your card, if not identical then canceled your order, hold your account in Google wallet and sent email to ask you for some verification papers like your passport or driving licence and copy of your card statement , after 2 days they send other email to tell you that your account now again active , then you can make device order again and every thing going smooth . Thats happened to about 99% from people which make this way, only one or two lucky persons there order goes without verification process.
The two disadvantage for this way that you will lose some days and may be stock will be finished and have to wait some other times, second that your first order money will reserve for sometime in your card account and mostly will have to use other money for 2nd order.

But the credit card we are using, the country doesn't match the US address we have faked. So it still works? Only the shipping and billing address are faked as US, but they know the credit card used isn't from US.
The main thing is, many have tried and have their orders rejected because their credit cards ain't issued with US address. Your method doesn't seem to work around that. Have you actually tried and found it working in the Play Store for devices? Afaik they are more lenient with other Play Store purchases, but damn anal about the devices section.

Also, at this time, the country of your credit card must match the the country to which you're shipping.

Your example only gives a US shipping address, which doesn't match CC used. How to work around that with the steps you've listed so far?

This never hampered me from purchasing music and movies on US Play Store, why should this block for now, said that is the same statement which rules both Music and Devices store?
However, you may be right, and on that case, we'll have another strategy hiring some service to buy it for you, as shipto, myusa, sq-liquidations (the best one for me), and you'll have to add about 10% more to final price.

This thread confuses me. I'm not in the US. I'm in Canada. I can buy apps from the play store just fine with my CDN CC. The Nexus 4 is listed in Canadian prices for me when I look it up on the Play Store ($359 CDN for 16GB). Are you saying that despite all that, I still won't be able to buy the Nexus 4?

I have set up TOR and was able to get to the nexus page. However when i tried to do a checkout at the cart, the page just loads forever

There is Google Store for Devices in Canada, so you will have no problems with purchasing Nexus 4.

You know that for Dropbox you must complete those tasks from the "Get Started" section.
But I'm assuming you did that allready.
Don't know what's with Dropbox lately. I connected a HTC One which should also come with 25gb bonus storage, but... nothing...
For the Note 8 problem, try contacting Samsung on their facebook and tell them your problem.

It worked for me as well, awesome find, this wasnt up when I first registered my device. :good:

I registered the first day the device came out and instead of getting $25, I got 50% off of a $50 phone accessory from samsung
support said there was something wrong with the registering website and said my error would be fixed.

Worked fine for me, both the 50Gb Dropbox and $25 giftcard.
However, even if it states the gift card only is valid in the US, just use a US proxy and redeem the gift card yourself instead of giving $25 away.

I had no problems getting the Play credit, but how do I redeem/claim the 50GB free dropbox? My dropbox only shows 3.5GBs.

Code would be useless to you as the us models are specific and WiFi and serial show as error and there's no way to select Canadian model which is axac. Vpn and proxy do not help as it is simply model, serial and WiFi that have to match in Samsung database.

FWIW, I had to use Safari, using Chrome on Mac kept failing field validation on the S/N and MAC address.

I had to run drop box for a first time, then drop box emailed me a confirmation letter about the 50GB's!

Tried that on the first day, haven't received any emails from Dropbox. Just tried it again tonight, settings says my account has 3.5GBs.
Edit - Spoke too soon. Just got an email from Dropbox, had to jump through some hoops but I got it now.

I'd previously installed Dropbox on the Note 8, created, and connected my gmail account to it. When I made that previous post, I opened the app again, poked around in the settings then hit the Home button and set the Note down. Few minutes later, an email from Dropbox arrived. Had to go through a few more steps on their 'Getting Started' checklist, mostly crap I didn't want to do, but once done, the storage got bumped up.

i had to make an ew account and it worked just fine. wouldnt let me use my old account. o well ill just move my 2gb of old crap over

I did everything I needed to do, and never got an email like it stated I would. I actually contacted Samsung and they stated they started a "ticket" about my issue and I should check my email for it within the next 3 days... That was yesterday. Still nothing. Patiently waiting lol

i had a note 8, and i returned it. now i bought another one, and it tells me i CANT register with my email address becasue i alreay have before. what a crock...
anyway around this? i NEVER even use my free google play stuff. since i NEVER recieved it...

Are you entering in the new devices imei and wifi mac address? make sure they are connected to the same network or wifi? This is making me really anxious.......

Just trying to offer some helpful advice . Anyways i felt that maybe Samsung verified you had the device in your hand by doing the wifi mac address thing by detecting that you are currently connected to the wifi with that device. i dunno......

Same here, maybe it has to do with these phones schedule to be released on the 17th and they may not have the IMEI's active in their systems.

I was able to submit my Sprint Note 2 through the website. I had two hex numbers under device status. The shorter number didn't register but went through when I submitted the longer hex number. For my Sprint device, the longer hex number had an additional two digit prefix.

Yes. Folks at tmobile said the site is to verify that the trade-in device has clean esn etc.

I did NOT write down my trade in devices' imei or wifi mac address.... because in noplace on the samsung promotion site did it say we had to.
But i believe it's the note 4s info that you have to input? I got on a chat with a samsung rep and she said it is because the note 4 is officially released for us on 10/17 so starting Friday the site will work for us.

You're correct, the site does not specify whether it's trade-in device or new device. I guess we have a month and half to figure it out.
I'll post some more details as soon as I hear back from Samsung. I mailed the documents through usps.
Edit: I found the instructions under official rules of the page. It's the numbers for the pre-ordered device and not the trade-in device. Resubmitting documents tomorrow lol.

I guess u got the reason why I asked now! Yea its the note 4 numbers not the trade in device! I think most of the guys from tmo doesnt know about the trade in and just goes by what they read!

Am I the only one that didn't get a packing slip from tmobile or a receipt. ..what are you guys using for the document upload portion of this???

Pre-ordered mine in store and made sure they printed out a receipt showing the trade in! Not completely sure it went through though! After submission it didnt give me an error message but I went back to the start of the page! No confirmation received other than the coupon code for samsung accessories!
Can anybody confirm what happened to them upon submission?

Well the fact that it went through means progress? Lol

Thing was i started off putting in the email ad then clicked submit and left! Resumed during the afternoon and input the numbers needed and the jpegs of my receipt! After clicking submit it went back to the first page so now I am iffy if that was good enough or what! :what:

Let's say for some reason come November 30th and it turned out it didn't work out for anyone? What are our options considering we were all scammed??

Not to sound like an idiot but searching for a simple answer as I already assume by the writing - fine print that I don't qualify.
- Already been a Netflix Subscriber for several years and currently paying per month on their service.
- Bought my Verizon Galaxy Note 4 back in October/2014 upon release date already.
I assume the later disqualifies me. Just looking for confirmation that I am reading this correctly

You are correct, you would need to purchase the device between January 4 and 17 to be eligible.

Whats sad about this.. If people wanted to be a real ass and stoop to low levels. Like most deals they go back during return times so people who just purchased are not short changed, well what happens is they could go back and do return and new purchase. This is why most deals like this go back past weeks to avoid store return periods. It would be dumb for people to do but yet some people would do it for spite to get a neyflix deal.

It seems prizelogic is running this promotion.

Enjoying my free year of Netflix now. They sent me the approved email this morning and the code for Netflix. I assume the, "+MilkMusic" is just the regular free one as there was no mention of it in the approval email.

What about Dev Edition?
Has anyone tried to register with the Dev Edition? When you register it asks for IMEI and Wireless MAC. I bought a couple of them and neither IMEIs are working. Comes back as invalid IMEI.

I tried with the DE (bought on the 8th), same result as you, invalid IMEI

So how did you get them to approve you

Got a VZW Note4 on 1/4/15 and submitted it that night. On the 9th, I got an email saying they received my submission. Have not received the activation code yet though. The fine details at registration said it may take up to 3 weeks.

Finally got the Dev edition to register. It still said invalid. After getting this email response, I did as stated and it went through.
Thank you for your interest in the Netflix Gift With Purchase. If you are receiving an Invalid IMEI/ Serial Number message, please return to the site and enter your information again. If the error pops up and you believe your claim is valid, please close the error message, make sure your receipt is still in the uploaded field, and hit submit again. The next screen will tell you to verify your image. Select continue and your claim will be submitted. A confirmation screen and email will follow.
