Porting Paranoid Android

Hi, Joseph. Interesting choice of a ROM to port, I run PA on my Epic.
Best of luck on the project.

I've built it from source for the SGS, right now I'm working on the KF.

Before getting a build I'm just waiting for the official merge of the configuration files of the GTab 2 7.0 because the KF will have the exact same configuration it has (both are running on a 1024*600 7" display) . That will be easier and I won't have to give a f*ck about those configuration files .

Hi folks,
As the title says, this is the thread for the port of ubuntu touch. Since this is only for developers, I'll not explain the process of:
- root
- install CWM
But I assume you already has do that.
I'm not responsible for any damage this could cause to your device, use it at your own responsability. Dont use this in any other device than p5110 unless you know what are you doing

Working: As far as I'd tested, everything else.

Installation instructions:
Full backup
Wipe data
Install the device specific part of Ubutnu
Install the generic Ubuntu part
Reboot
Configure Resolution (see below)
Enable Wi-fi (see below)
Enjoy the testing!
Flashable:

Configure resolution:
With device connected to the PC do:
- adb root
- adb shell
- vi /data/ubuntu/usr/bin/ubuntu-session
- change the lines from 81 to 90 to match:

Enable WIFI:
- adb root
- adb shell
- touch /data/local/userinit.sh
- vi /data/local/userinit.sh and put the following lines

Hey, can you post what changes you made to the source in order to get this to work.
I've been working on making the same port but keep getting build conflicts between the Samsung and Texas Instruments Bluetooth drivers.

Base on https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Touch/Porting info, Ubuntu Touch reuse CyanogenMod project. Do you think that just by recompiling the kernel part, this port will work on P3100? If it works, credits will goes to Google, Samsung, CyanogenMod, Ubuntu, codeworkx, and you :good: Big thanks for this effort.

So far I have not failed. I'll go back and do it all from 0.
CyanogenMod Childbirth 10.1, and as I say I have flashed wipes, flashed the specific part and then the generic.
I boot after flashing and the screen stays black.
What have you done to make it work exactly?

Por ahora no me ha funcionado. Voy a volver al principio y hacerlo todo desde 0.
Parto de CyanogenMod 10.1, y como dices he flasheado he hecho wipes, flasheado la parte especifica y luego la genérica.
Arranco después de flashear y se queda la pantalla en negro.
Que has hecho tu exactamente para hacerla funcionar?

porting GT-P5100
Awesome!!
PLease could you explain me how did you manage to do that? It's been since the release of the porting "tutorial" that I'm tring to make an image for GT-P5100 but I just don't understand...

Well I've got. XD
I had to put the files on a external SD and format system, data, sdcard .... I then installed as you mention in the first issue and run. I will take away a little monkey and ready.

Im trying to install but i keep getting a black screen. Has anyone got it booted? if so how. i have the p3113 but that shouldnt make a difference since they are the same device ones just international. I would love to test but cant get passed the black screen. Is it because of the screen resolution?

Uite AICI , il bagi undeva pe card-ul extern,intrii in custom recovery si il instalezi de acolo si asta e tot, ai optiunea in meniu la screen lock.

Îți voi răspunde în engleză că suntem pe un forum se vorbește engleză (verifică și PM-ul)
First, you need CWM (Clockwork Mod) to flash this zip. If you already have CWM, just download the Firmware, save it on the internal SD, reboot into recovery select „flash zip from sdcard” an select the firmware you just downloded.
If you do not have CWM, follow this tutorial.

This is not a CWM flashable zip....its a zip containing TAR files, which need to be extracted then flashed via Odin or mobile odin.Attempting to flash via cwm will not work

No it doesnt...the signal boost app was exclusively released with orange ics update.however...here is a cwm flashable zip for the app...I havent tested it with jelly bean update yet...so if your going to give it a go...make a backup first. Here it is.

Shame, I really need that app to use JB where I live. I have tried the ICS signal boost app but it doesn't work on JB, I was just really hoping Orange had updated it for this JB release given that the UK JB update is taking so long to appear. Thanks though

Yeah no. I didn't ask for permission sorry. This is the Nougat, Lineage Version I don't see it there in the thread, I searched the whole forum and didn't find any post so i posted it. I hope its okay. I really wanted others to get it So..

all we hope to get android N and thanks for our amazing developers osas , daneal , sai milind , pawitp , ghsr cuz all works hard to release stable build but for this time it's not released official and stable so its better to wait for official news or thread from our developer and we appreciate your effort to share this rom with us so thnQ you and big thanks for our amazing developer .

Everythings working.
Pre Installed Camera app fcs ( pre installed Camera is also very slow) Use Some Other Camera app It Works just fine.
browser fcs.
Sometimes it just gives you the error that browser is not responding and needs to be closed.
Sometimes taking screenshot only captures black screen.
other than that its working great.

Ghsr updated the device tree and kernal

@[OP] please mention in bold in the OP that it's a reshare and it's not your build.
I have edited the title for the same and thread moved to general since it's a reshare of the ROM.

Parece que ya funciona la camara, segun los comentarios pero con un poco se problemas en la screenshot, pero bueno, vamos a probarlo y esperemos que funcione a la perfección el LineageOS 7.x :good:
Buen Trabajo, espero que sigan mejorandolo.

Camera and flash light are working fine on the latest build of cdroid android 7.1 thanks to Ghrs for Kernel and tree updates and all the developers who put there effort to make it possible.
And soon it will be available for all Nougat ROMs.

Hola .. no es mi rom que acaba de compartir, pero gracias me encanta esta rom también. Respeto y amor a todos los modders originales. Y sí es la ROM oficial.

I'm using the snap camera its working fine. never had any problem with the flash though just the screenshots.

Any difference between this and omi9082's ROM?

Phone is rooted with supersu installed. Busybox installed correctly to system/xbin
OS- resurrection remix 5.8.2
Model- i9082
Installed viper4android guitarded hero via twrp recovery.
Deleted audio_effects.conf
But i see an issue
There is no /vendor/etc/ directory.
Etc folder is located at /system/etc
I have tried changing selinux status from enforcing to permissive. But same, busybox error occurs.
I have also tried compatible mode in viper4android, but still cannot install drivers.
Help please....

Can someone help me with it...or i think the problem is in the v4a zip file....
I cannot upload the screenshot due to screenshot bug in this os.

Flashed Resurrection Remix for the first time (had Lineageos 14.1) and the installation went smooth but after rebooting, the screen turned pitch black and stayed that way. Thankfully i still had the lineageos zip file on my sdcard, so i went to twr mode and flashed again lineage and open gaaps and now it's fine. But i really wanted to test this RR mod. Any suggestions to what the problem might be or how to solve the black screen problem?
