Hi,can you please explain what's the relation between baseband switching and ARFCN. I want to know the frequency but not band.thanks.

Maybe this widget from google playstore can give you that info
Edit: plus this make it complete

Thank you. But that widget not give you frequency info and ARFCN app is only for off-line guide. It won't give frequency of present/other cell ID's.

Please read here explanation given by 'Spooky'. They made a geographical radio frequency map but it covers only Australia.

Thank you very much for the valuable stuff. But i hv only one question : they are many applications that gives CELL ID , LAC,Distance, Inclination and Technology, Signal Strength and also RNC. Then why not frequency (ARFCN)? I studied the entire note by spooky but the ARFCN is also a parameter to judge the signal strength and also the battery life. The VSWR calculations what the radio people do, that can be vary with frequency. So, It is very important for Rf Engineer as like Me. knowing the Frequency info will give the better result to analyse the Mobile Operators optimization . May be This is for self analysis or to gain the knowledge in Rf engineering , but as a communication engineer I must want to know the ARFCN. I agreed with spooky "The Frequency is not Constant " it varies b/w tower to tower mainly in "GSM " . My sincere request to the devolopers is " Please add ARFCN Info " bcoz Frequency is the key factor in wireless Communication.
My sincere thanks to " Vicsa "

dont be affraid to use the search functions of XDA, it can help answer a lot of questions you have and be very informative at times..
Wikipedia definition:
"In computing, the kernel is the central component of most computer operating systems; it is a bridge between applications and the actual data processing done at the hardware level. The kernel's responsibilities include managing the system's resources (the communication between hardware and software components).[1] Usually as a basic component of an operating system, a kernel can provide the lowest-level abstraction layer for the resources (especially processors and I/O devices) that application software must control to perform its function. It typically makes these facilities available to application processes through inter-process communication mechanisms and system calls."
You will find Kernels in the dev section. Depending on what rom u r using will decided on what kernel u will flash..
[Kernel]HTC Stock,MaxOC~1.84GHz,SmartAss/BFS/SLQB/BFQ/Youtube-Faux123
[Kernel]AOSP/CM7[2.6.32] MaxOC~1.84GHz, Smartass/UV/BFS/BFQ/SLQB-Faux123
if you can't understand the above, think it as a car's engine.

Your great app is not selling. Sounds familiar?

Hi guys,
Making an app successful requires two distinct skill sets including:
1. product development: UI/UX, Graphics, clean code and all that stuff
2. marketing: Tricky business. How do you monteize? Work with Carriers? Pre-load your app? Promote it through blogs? Get good reviews? Create a hype in social media? Paid vs. Free? What kind of in-app purchases? Which ad network and what marketing partners to use etc. etc.?
I have seen many apps on app store that have the ability to be sell like hot cakes but they get dumped under the piles of bad apps which are being marketed properly.
If you guys think that you have an app that have the nice concept, good design and ability to be successful, but it is lacking marketing muscle, please send me a message. I will analyze your app and provide you free advise on what is it lacking. If I find that I can help you making it successful, I will let you know and we can discuss these details more once the key issues are identified.
Regards,
Omer

This is a big pain point for app developers everywhere, both during UI and feature design as well as marketing the app. A solution would be to A/B your app features, both for development and for marketing your features. Mobile A/B solutions tend to be cumbersome and code-intensive. But, WYSIWYG tools are also making their appearance (Appiterate, Useartisan)

I think you forgot App store optimization. It is best to increase app download as people mostly search app on app stores.

You are right, but
i observe that in search list google shows the result in below way.
1. first shows the app for which they have got advertisement money,
2. then the app those revenues are high as 30% goes to google.
3. then the most downloaded- reviewd, rate apps
4. then there algorithem goes for rest all...
Again this is my observation and i have not considered google algoritham at all on this.
Hi Omar,

Seriously. There are no step by step guides for this. The manufacturers do not provide any public documentation and the small number of people who have figured it out themselves are typically marketing programming tools based on that knowledge and reluctant to subvert that by disclosing a lot of detail to random strangers. An intelligent Google search will provide a wealth of information. But even so, you will need to do a substantial amount of first hand work to confirm information, fill in blanks, details and develop procedures.
As a bonus you will also gain experience in unbricking your test phones. The bottom line is that if you can't proactively search for the appropriate posts yourself and deduce the missing pieces empiracally, you simply aren't going to learn how to do this. Nevertheless a lot of people have at least a passing interest in this, so look here for details.

[Q] Mobile app marketing tools: what is better?

Hello everybody!
I am new here. I am a student and writing a thesis work on mobile app marketing.
I need a help of true developers. Please let me know your opinion on some related questions.
What mobile marketing do you need in your app? what kind of app do u work with?
What is important for you in mobile app marketing?
What tools do you use for this purpose? Do they meet your requirements?
I thought no one will give me more up-to-date info then you.
Thanks in advance for your help.

These questions are unclear to me... Could you describe more what data do you need? What is the purpose of your survey?
What mobile marketing do I need in my app? You mean, how do I monetize my app?
What is important to me in mobile app marketing? If I do the marketing in my app (show the ads) I want to get money, and if I try to market my app I want to get the downloads.
What tools do I use? I show the ads with mobile advertisers SDKs, and sometimes I market my app with posting on social media, but mostly I just do ASO. I will do some paid advertising with my new game but at very low scale.
Hello, Vaktu!

I am speaking about ARM marketing funnel - but "retention" (mainly) and "monetization" parts, not aquisition of app installs. So mine focus is IN-app marketing
When app is already installed and downloaded - how to make people come back to your app and use it more? Do you send pushes, inapps, etc? If yes - what tools do you use or make coding by yourself?
If you are looking to market the mobile applications, App Store Optimization is what you need to perform. Some of its techniques which you might be aware of are:
1. Off-page activities
2. Landing page optimization
3. Keywords analysis
4. A/B testing tools
App store optimization is a must process if you want your app to get more downloads.
In my experience with mobile marketing tools I think ASO is the key factor for your sucessful marketing. App store optimization help people to find your mobile easier and faster. It increases your chances to rise app popularity, the principle the same as SEO. Optimization determines what positions you will take. Exactly it helped me with marketing of mobile app.

edit/add something to FISHFINDER app

Hi at all, that's my first post but i'm reading xda forum since i went to put android in my HTC TOUCH DIAMOND...
So here is my problem :
I'm using 2 app for fishing :
- Sonarphone (free on playstore) who get a wifi device to watch what's happing on water
- Deeper (free too) who get a bluetooth device (low frequency range ) to watch what's happening on water
Then,my idea is to use my wifi device on Depper app to use only one app but i have no wifi MENU on deeper app and i need to add this one on Deeper app who can read my sonarphone device
Do you think is that posible ?
I have already those .apk(sonarphone,Deeper),android studio and eclipse but i don't know where to start to do this, because i don't understood anymore how deeper reading on is device to convert signal on a "picture".
I'm not a pro dev but can't learn really fast
and I'm sure XDA forum got pro dev guys so can someone help me ?
Thanks a lot guys.
