I recently updated to the ICS update and normally people say don't update to ICS because it makes your phone slower but I updated my S2 and the benchmark tests are higher than the stock GB. Basically I wanted to see if anyone has done the test.

on stock ics i got 10400 points on atuntu with 4h30 or more of screen usage, its was great. now with jb its a pain
Now that a JB ROM has been released, you've decided to make the leap from GB to ICS? Okay, just making sure we're on the same page here.
Benchmark threads are always welcome. Will your next one be comparing kernels, posting UV levels and asking for best ROMs? Maybe a "new" root method for ICS?
One can only hope.
There are already threads about benchmarks etc. Look here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1682765.

High scores on antutu v3 is because they change gpu test, and it has higher scores now. It's not because it's jb, ics or gb.

Is there a reason why you've only just gone over to ICS? And not even thought about Jellybean?

So I just got mine yesterday and wanted an opinion. As I like the front facing camera for video chat I don't yet want to do CM 9.0 (I know ICS is awesome!). Which roms are the fastest running HC with and without TW? Which ones are you guys using?

Honestly they're all almost the same.
Although I would put the latest (non-ics) in this order:
1. Galaxy task 14 Slim/Fat
2. Overcome (latest)
3. CleanROM (HC 3.2 TW)
4. CleanROM Rewind (HC 3.1 AOSP)

Overcome is working well but the kernel it comes with is not overclockable or undervoltable. Are all 3.2 kernels compatible? Which ones would people recommend and with what settings? I know I'm being lazy here but I do appreciate the help.

in developer options, check out the background process limit. I set mine at 4 for that test. Basically it kills processes that are running in background once it reaches the user set limit

I have the same number on my WW.
I installed daoist's WW ICS Rom
I didn't bother to test extensively, but I did wipe my tablet and do the SunSpider Javascript Benchmark before upgrading, then wiped a second time and did SunSpider again after upgrading.
The result? I got a slightly worse score for ICS, but only negligibly so (and it was within the margin of error for both the before and after tests, hence realistically there was absolutely no difference.)
But that's for one single metric: stock browser javascript speed.
comparing two ICS units im getting:
Quadrant
TF - 2420
Nexus - 3005 (but with custom ROM/Kernel - but no overclocking/undervolting)
Antutu
TF - 4992
Nexus - 6289
very different machines I know but the Nexus scores shown are way above 'stock' nexus so id expect to see some serious tweaking boost the TF nicely too
.... but to be fair we all know such stats are fairly meaningless ....
Completely stock ICS on my Transformer, and I was getting between 2400-2600 benchmarks in Quadrant.

You do not need the ROM released in your regions to install. Most of them are fine, unless you want languages specific to your region.

Sup guys, going to be making a comparison between different kernels running on different roms. I know that some of you are going to go on about how benchmarks don't mean anything, if that's you then simply disregard this post.
All roms will be tested with nothing except Gapps (not signed in), Titanium Backup and AnTuTu installed, TB and everything else will be closed before the benchmark.
3 benchmarks will be done, and I will post the average total score.
