Is there a simple mod or a simple way to make a mod that completely removes the battery icon from the status bar on stock android?

No, unless you install another ROM.

Hi All,
I know that there are many ways to get the status bar to show the battery status in percentage but all of them are kinda too complicated for my liking. Is there any way I can get it done without having to flash? Perhaps through an app?
I am on stock GB 2.3.3(JV9) rooted with speedmod installed.
Thanks in advance.

I also don't like to do some icon mods, how about you try the Battery Indicator app?
https://market.android.com/details?id=com.darshancomputing.BatteryIndicator
it won't replace your battery icon though.
for me..the simplest way it through uot kitchen

Thanks for the suggestions, but I am actually looking for something to replace the original batttery bar, instead of adding another one on the status bar.
I would like to know a way for this too, to replace the original battery with one that had the percentage in it: D
$omator has made some cwm flashable files which do this and are very simple and easy to do.

If you're comfortable with compiling CM yourself, you could include the mod in your ROM. Else, try some themes (I think Thyrus has a transparent bar, not 100% sure).
Also, if you want to try a ROM that includes this, Paranoid android and some CM based roms have this mod.

Oh no, they don't, it has a transparent notification background. Sorry.
You might be able to theme it using framework.apk or something, but I wouldn't know who to do that.
Good luck, sorry for the lack of help :-$

you need to mod your systemui.apk
something like this guide might help
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1371330
you will still need a tiny app of 170KB in order to control the battery bar - you can either run the app from the launcher or you can add it to your rom settings menu - search for a guide for that

Hi!
Has anyone managed to hide the navigation bar?
I've tryed to edit build.prop adding qemu.hw.mainkeys=1 but nothing happened after reboot. Also I've tryed different software with the same result.
Thank you in advance.
If anyone is just wondering if I solved, I did it!!
I just followed this thread https://forum.xda-developers.com/ne...navbar-height-changer-android-nougat-t3447956 and navbar is gone forever. I will check battery drain but hopefully it would be insignificant.

On my new device with german stock firmware, the navigation bar sometimes hide without any modification! i´ve no idea why but after that, only a reboot brings back the navigation bar...
Thats weird, did you wipe after flashing?
Is your device rooted?
