help bricked my nexus 7

okay here's what i did unlocked bootloader, rooted then installed twrp, installed PA then installed https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.franco.kernel.free then rebooted after that stuck at google logo
Did u flash a kernel within the app first???
Just reinstall the ROM will probably fix it. Don't bother wiping anything since your staying on PA.

Yeah same thing happened to me except different kernel. Just reflash ROM or working kernel. Not bricked just an incorrect kernel choice.

Unlocked but rooted a month after

My brother unlocked my nexus 7 and thought that he rooted it as well. Then I found out a month after that it was not rooted, but the bootloader was unlocked. That meant that I had installed apps already. The question is, if I go root my tab, will it erase all my files and installed apps even though the bootloader was already unlocked? Just a newb question
Rooting has no effect on installed apps.

Unlocking the tablet is what causes the memory wipe rooting it should have no effect on files

CWM with locked bootloader?

Hey guys,
I just bought the nexus 4 from a guy and its working awesome. The only "problem" I have is that the guy before me was playing around with the nexus. And now I have a locked bootloader, no SU binaries/root but CWM?? Is it possible to have CWM with a locked bootloader?
Anyways, i dont want to play around with it because the original store that sold this nexus will blame me for playing around with it if something actually happens.
So can i update it to key lime pie when it comes out without any problems?? Or can i remove CWM without unlocking the bootloader(i have alot of apps)?
Thanks

You can flash a ROM and then relock the bootloader. Just unlock it and start again
Nevermind

It's better to go back to 100% stock so you know exactly what's been done
You can always use this if you're rooted. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.segv11.bootunlocker

[Q] Re-lock bootloader/ Unroot warranty

Hey, If i want to get back my warranty for some reasons on the nexus 4 after rooting and with custom recovery and rom, after unroot and locking the bootloader again, will i be able to use my warranty again?

Yes, but you're better off flashing the stock factory image from Google. Follow efrant's guide in General for full instructions
Sorry for late replay but I used the nexus 4 root tool kit wugfresh and it asked if im on custom rom or stock, i was on paranoid android rom so i selected custom rom, the made an unroot, I think it automatically extracted google image and flashed then made the unroot, is that okey? , when i compared it with a fully stock never rooted nexus 4 of someone here, mine had darker colors, but after research some people said that their are many nexus 4 have warmer screen colors.

Going back to stock question.

So if I bought my phone rooted and with a custom rom and unlocked for any carrier,if I went back to stock would it become relocked?
No, once it's unlocked it'll remain unlocked
