Benchmark of overclocked Note 10.1 - Galaxy Note 10.1 General

Did someone with the note 10.1 and 4.2.1 overclock the Note to 1.6 - 1.7 Ghz and do a Glbenchmark?
What result you get on your device??

The best benchmark out there.
If you look at their BATTERY benchmark top 5, there is our Note 10.1 at n.2, in front of the Ipad 3:
http://glbenchmark.com/

i did but it wouldn't upload.
Will do it again in a bit,
the ma5 build will run at 1.7ghz @1.35v btw but that's a bit high.

That's very good.
Can you post your results?
Strange behavior at 1.7ghz?

GPU in Nexus S?

Okay so I ran Nenamark on both my Vibrant and Nexus S. To my surprise, Nexus S scored 39.5 FPS while the Vibrant scored 51.8 FPS.
Anyone know what GPU is in the Nexus S? I was under the impression it would be the same as the SGS line; there doesn't seem to be a definite answer either on the forums.
EDIT: Bleh, stupid me. Nenamark displays the GPU information. According to Nenamark, both Nexus S and Vibrant have a PowerVR SGX 540. So why the huge difference in benchmarks?

*sigh* these benchmarks are so unscientific
There is some suspicious stuff in the kernel sources that refers to the PowerVR SGX 535 chip. Hope Samsung isn't trying to pull a fast one on us by using a 535 and making it look like a 540 to apps. Interestingly, when trying to boot the Nexus S kernel on a Galaxy S, supercurio ran into display driver failures. Maybe because it's trying to use 535 drivers with a 540?
Something is definitely up... it makes no sense that with the same hardware Nexus S scores less than Vibrant.

And a Google employee confirmed the same GPU

I already edited the OP to state that Nenamark reads both as a 540. Now the question why are they benchmarking so differently.

Oh sorry, didnt read the edit
Hmmm, Maybe Touchwiz does add some good lol
Idk though
Galaxy s/ vibrant only scores over 50 FPS on nenamark if you're OC
but yea score seems kind of low score 47 on my vibrant noticed some stuttering and not as smooth on NS scored 42

I am not OC'ed though :-( I am running completely stock, minus a few bloatware apps on the Vibrant.
Now that you mention it, though, I don't recall my Vibrant ever hitting 50 FPS on nenamark before. This is odd...
I wouldn't worry good things will come with the great developers here im sure it will be tweaked
also neocore bench is pretty much the same as my vibrant 55.6
The "old" Vibrant Froyo leaks performed worse on 3d rendering than the original eclair believe it or not. Not MUCH worse, but a bit worse. Don't know about the latest leaks. Not noticeable enough to care.
If there is any remaining doubt. Here's the iFixit teardown of the Nexus S:
http://www.ifixit.com/Teardown/Nexus-S-Teardown/4365/2
Note the CPU: S5PC110A01
Google that up, it's a 540.
maybe the nexus S has the gpu clocked lower?

Yeah but any half decent GPU hits 55ish on Neocore.

Only one ive seen that's currently available is Adreno 205 that can keep up in neocore

someone should give you a cookie. yes this makes sense but it also could have something to do with more tasks moved to the gpu, a different driver, or the changes in gingerbread 3d api that the benchmarks arnt written for
Hmm that's odd. I think it's a problem with Gingerbread and not so much the actual hardware. Quadrant standard runs terribly on the Nexus S and now Nenamark is giving unusual scores. These developers really need to update these benchmarks, seriously. Quadrant hasn't been updated in so long so undoubtedly that will have problems with the new framework from Gingerbread.
I agree with Arcadia310 I believe its also a software issue not a hardware and like he said the apps needed updating.
You guys are probably right, although it seems weird apps wouldn't work on 2.3 seeing as it isn't as big of a update as 2.1 -> 2.2 was.

[INFO] Standard benchmarks straight out of the box.

See attached..... run them just now on my new transformer eeepad

Lets hope this is a starting point, as soon as I can get root I will run again. With overclocking. Waiting on Paul's release from modaco

Okay few questions.
1. Why the hell does the iPad 2 score over a 170 in linpack
2. Why is the stock transformer scoring more than stock xoom in linpack and Quadrant?

The Ipad score seems high to me too, the only difference i can come up with the Ipad 2 is its DDR2 memory is clocked at 1033mhz
As for the Tegra 2 Processor, the DDR2 memory is clocked at 133mhz
Plus we dont really know the bus speed of the Apple A5 or Tegra 2
I know the Tegra 2 has GPUs that come in 300 or 333 Mhz which could affect the quanrant score, also the speed of the nand could affect quadrant
Who knows
What comparisons can we make between A5 and Tegra 2 processors?
One hypothesis was that the A5 may have NEON enabled, while Tegra2 doesn't.
According to Anandtech, Qualcomm's dual core offerings should have NEON support, and it impacts Linpack performance:
The Scorpion’s VFPv3 FPU is fully pipelined. As a result, floating point performance is much improved. Qualcomm also implements support for NEON, but with a wider 128-bit datapath (compared to 64-bit in the A8 and A9). As a result, Qualcomm should have much higher VFP and NEON performance than the Cortex A8 (we see a good example of this in our Linpack performance results).

Perhaps benchmarking Linpack on the HTC Sensation & Evo3D will shed some light on this.

I think I will run the tests again with the class 2 micro sd taken out.... will post back later after work.

2986... setcpu just goes up to 1000, so need yo get some customer frequencies and voltages, time to build a setcpu txt file i think.......
Lets see if we can make it any faster.

Nice bench resaults, can't wait for mine to arrive.
Here's my quadrant, this thing overclocks without breaking a sweat. Samsung definitely hand picked the processors for these Notes.

What are you using to Overclock mate and what settings do you have it at ?
Check his sig. AbyssNote kernel @ 1.6GHz.
The app isn't important. Use SetCPU or No-Frills.

Note II vs overclocked Note I

I think it would be interesting to know how the Note II compares to an overclocked Note - i.e. using a kernel like the GL NoteCore or HydraCore OC with 1.6 Ghz and 400 Mhz GPU.
I guess that the existing benchmarks rather compares a standard Note (1.4 Ghz and 267 Mhz GPU) with the Note II.
It would also be interesting to know how much Project Butter affects the benchmarks, it seems like the Note II is a lot faster than the CPU/GPU by itself indicates based on the initial impressions.
I also think that it can be useful info for those who owns heavily optimized Notes to judge how the Note II compares to their devices running 1,6 Ghz CPU and 400 Mhz GPU.
Old Quadrant , my Note 1 = 4669
New Quadrant, my Note II = 5790
both standard

[Q] Nexus 10 Geekbench - Benchmark

Hi all,
I can't find any benchmark about Nexus 10 on GeekBench. I need to compare it with Apple Ipad 4 CPU (already listed on geekbench website).
Someone could help me?
Where can I find a benchmark?

It will smash the iPad 4. But no-one has had a chance to bench it yet.
Dual Exynos 5250 ARM-Cortex A15 CPU vs @1.7GHz
Dual Apple A6 ARM-Cortex A9 (with some architectural enhancements from A15) @ 1.3GHz
Mali-604 GPU which is 4-5x faster than previous generations Mali-400 GPU
PowerVR SGX543MP4 GPU which is great compared to Tegra and OMAP, but not compared to Mali-604
RAM is double on Nexus 10.
Geekbench on N10 is 2315 as per ZDNET. On N4, it's 1961.
I think they should improve further as Google clearly haven't optimized the drivers properly. A lot of work needs to be done from google to to optimize the devices. Expect to improve further in future.
Just got 2657 on geek bench on my nexus 10. It's rooted with a custom rom but not overclocked
I got only 1590 with geekbench on my CM11+KTmanta Nexus 10..
so how can you get 2700..?

Hi
Geekbench 3 scores shouldn't be compared with Geekbench 2 scores. AFAIK your score is related to GB3 while theirs (that are older) are related to GB2 .

I thought my device had some power issues with that score (1500)
