systemsound after using navi
Hey, love Inroid! Thx!
One thing: after using navi, the systemsound stays on 100%, how can I change that the sound stays the same as before using the navi?
Maybe I missed some posts on this, sorry for that..

Indroid was the 1st custom rom i flashed on my G3. Before this I was very new to all these. I am only waiting for a simple way to partition and use Indriod FSC then I will post in this thread some troubleshoot for newbies which I felt during Indroid ROM flashing. hope that will make life easier for those who want to flash it but worried about errors.
Can i overclock my indroid 4.2 ?? And are there some risks? will my telephone die?

Will check on this and see if anything can be done..
Btw you can also reduce system sound with the volume key on the left side right? Doesn't that work?

you haven't partition'd yet?
Use minitool and partition your sd..I could make a video on using ext4 as data on indroid if you want me to?
I'd show from start in the video if you'll want it.
And Indroid FSC is used after making an ext partition on sd not before.

ok i will when i get time..
I installed indroid 4.2. Everything seems to work, except the gps and usb-connection.
It takes a very long time to get a fix on gps. When i finally get get a fix and i give a location in google navigation, it crashes.
About the usb-connection, the first time i connected to my pc, it worked. But after that, it doesn't work anymore. When i connect my sg3 to my pc, it thrils ones and that's it.
Any ideas?

as of now its just over clocked to 800Mhz so i recommended to stick with 667Mhz version ie standard version.

If you have updated the kernel to beta 3 then stick to it no need to reflash

Hello,
I'm new and i would like testing indroid rom
But i must flash indroid 4.0 and after, with CMW flash 4.1 and 4.2 ?
Ty for answers and sorry for my bad english...
Before I say anything, I know this is probably in the wrong place, but it wouldnt let me post in the development forums because of my low post count, I also know this ROM is in a pre-alpha stage and will have many broken features and bugs, this is not what I am asking about.
I just want to know if anyone knows how big the ROM is, I want to try it out to see what it could be like, the download is 167MB, but is that how big the installed rom is? I have resized partitions in my flash memory, therefore if its bigger than 150MB I will need to resize again.
Also (I know basic question) will I still beable to boot to CWM to restore a nandroid backup of Swiftdroid? I know that atleast Wifi and GSM dont work, as long as the info on Mike's web page is up to date, this alone will mean I will need to roll back after I have had a look around, so a nandroid backup will be the best way.
I only ask the last question because I have only used swiftdroid so I need to make sure.
the download contain the recovery version and fastboot version in the one zip the system is about 140MB
Thanks, my system partition is just big enough, do you have any sugestions on a reasonable size for my system partition? Mainly for when more is working and I upgrade perminantly 10MB isnt enough for any updates imo.

I dont get any rebooting on my phone, and barely any force closes except things confirmed not to work.
If you have resized system and data partitions, I changed my system partition to 170MB because there is alot to come to the rom and it could get alot bigger, I can always lower it if needed.

how do you partition the system to 180MB? I also have the same problem of restarting .. however there are problems with the keyboard and I found the official ICS only by the number of posts I am unable to post it on the official post .. so if anyone wants to take this job I can ask in PM the link (because of the number of posts I'm not insert link) (PS: this keyboard would solve many problems; D)

So...firstly..by installing cyanogen did it already got unlocked ,and if not how do i unlock it?

Y U NO helpfull?!?!?!
Use this to unlock your 512mb ram (Greek Blades only) - http://amphoras.co.uk/index.php/downloads/blade-tpts#g2v2a
Read the instructions on the page.

It wont make any difference to speed at all. You can choose from either Gen2 v2a, or Gen2 stock, none of the others will work for you. Either version will unlock the 512mb ram. The only difference is how the storage space is partitioned.
You want the gen2 v2a version for CyanogenMod 7, or the gen2 stock version if you ever want to install CyanogenMod 9.
They will wipe your phone. You should backup in clockworkmod first & then restore from clockworkmod afterwards. There is a small risk of bricking your phone, especially if you do it wrong, so read all the instructions.
System is where the rom is, if it's smaller than the rom that you want to use then it wont work. Data is where your apps & their saved data are.
Cache is only used for market downloads, most custom roms will redirect that to somewhere else, so you don't need much cache because it never gets used.
If you use the v2a version you'll have more room to install apps, but CyanogenMod 9 & other ICS roms won't work, because they're too big for the small system size.
If you go for the stock gen2 then you'll have the same space available for apps as you do now. Apps2Ext is a better way to get more room to install apps, download Simple2Ext from Google Play to get it working on CyanogenMod 7.
This is all assuming your Greek Blade was sold to you with Android 2.2. If it was sold to you second hand with CyanogenMod 7 installed, then it's likely that somebody else has already done it & you don't need to because you already have 512mb ram unlocked. If the Gen2 TPTs from Amphoras' page don't do anything, then it's almost certainly already been done.
Make sure that you really don't have over 256mb, download 'Android System Info', look under RAM, at the Max, if it's about 420MB, then you don't need to do anything, you've already got 512mb ram enabled.
wow wbaw....that was really helpfull...so i have gen2 ,not the 512 ram...
now...if i follow the guide and unlock more space...i will have to first backup cyanogen7 with clockwork and after i unlock the memory,i restore again through clockwork, and ill have 512 AND cyanogen7?
Also if i want to install cm9 which one you suggest?
i know it is personal choise which rom to install but i need a starting point

Unless you explicitly need the pen-only mode I recommend trying version 0.7 as it was much more stable than 0.8.1, at least in my experience.

in my case the 0.8.1 is very stable and runs very smooth... i was first on 0.8 which was a desaster... reboots every time and lost some productive data also :/ then i downgraded to 0.7 which was OK, but no pen only mode is very nasty when i try to write on the device e.g in university courses...
so now i'm on 0.8.1 and i have no problems...
maybe it helps if you clean all the caches and stuff?
I moved from 0.6.0 to 0.8.1 and find it MUCH more stable. Pen Only mode work quite well in the new 0.8.1 version too!

I did a few factory resets after installing the rom and I made sure to clean out the caches, etc via clockword recovery before installing the rom.
I am not sure why my TPT is rebooting unexpectedly so much.
I rooted the tablet after upgrading the stock rom to ICS, then got CW mod recovery. I am not sure which version TPT I have. I bought it in the US and it is 16gb if that helps.
Thanks!

if you have installed cm10 you won't find your Information in the 'about the tablet' section. Just install the app ' Android System Info' and look at system/buildinfo/fingerprints. At the end you will find something like 130_WE (i hope thats not an info about whats used by the cm10 build)/( WE = western europe). Besides: i have every now and then a sleep to death with 0.8.1. I havent had those with 0.8.0. I tried a lot and so far only one thing works - i turned of the light sensor. ( works at least since a few hours)
I have the 32GB version D802, rooted, with pardus HD rom v6. SD card total space is 24.84. Is there any way I can increase the total space available on the device? I know you're not supposed to get the whole 32GB, depending on the filesystem, however I think losing almost 8GB of space is ridiculous. For example, the 32GB version of the IPAD mini leaves you with 28GB of user accesible space.

I uninstalled many bloatware/system apps using titanium backup pro and it doesn't increase the size of the storage. I think it has to do with the partitioning of the storage, which 7.2, where all system file is stored, with some allowance so that if you manage to full the storage the phone will not die. I'm just guessing. LOL

For whatever reason LG decided to set up this phone. The way they did that wont do any. The system partition will stay overly large even if you do use a smaller Rom.

Yep. It is annoying. Strange having my old 32 GB galaxy nexus having the full 28 GB but my far newer G2 having only 24.
Sent from my VS980 4G using Tapatalk
First of all: Phone's tottal memmory is 32 000 000 000 bytes which devided by 1024 = 31*250*000 KBytes, which /1024 = 30*517 MBytes, which /1024 = 29.8 GBytes TOTTAL Formated space !
Free Space for user is ~ 24.8 GB
Which means that ALL the partitions in phone's memmory (apart form SDCARD partition) combined are ~ 5 GB
In this 5 GB you have ROM (~2.5 GB), Bootloader, Recovery partition...
But, not all the partitions are full with data, they all have some free space in them, but that free space is not populated to phone tottal free memmory because it is not accessible by the user
Just found this thread about resizing the system partition. Kind of a taboo subject i guess. No one is giving a positive answer.
My very first Android device, the NOOKcolor 8GB, 1st gen, so technically, 'bout 7GB, they reserved 5GB for system and data partitions, left us 2GB for end-user storage.
Yeah, enjoy that.
Good thing was there was a way to re-partition.
For the G2, I haven't heard anyone mentioned about how to.

IOS is different to android. They have different apps and config that contribute to system space of the phone.
