My new nexus 4 is dropping out all the time and when i disconnect from a wi fi hotspot thats when it normally occurs. I can still call people when it drops out but i dont have connection to the internet unless if i restart the phone or keep flight mode on for awhile and then turn it off.
Is this happening for anyone els and is their a solution?

I am consistently having one problem with my 8525. Whenever I try to connect to the wifi at my university, the phone freezes. I have to remove the battery and reboot it to fix it. I don't have problems with any other wireless networks. I am confused and I have no idea how to fix the problem. Anyone have any idea what's going on?
The phone is probably waiting for some packet of data from the university that either isn't arriving or is very slow to arrive.
After a minute or two it should time out and the phone should work again.
Hi - I searched this forum and found lots of wifi not turning on. My situation is the reverse - has anyone seen their wifi turning on automatically? It seems something is causing wifi to turn on. It seems some data service - cause it turns on when my cell data is turned off - like when I pick up a phone call. Some service is not getting data from the cell network and so they turn on wifi. It's a pain and it drains my battery. Anyone seen this and has a potential work around?
Thanks in advance. -fm

I was just posting exactly the same question...
I have the same problem, like 5 minutes ago: my phone was in roaming (due to lack of signal for my operator in the office), pushmail is off, but suddenly the wi-fi turned on...
Any hint?
I'm on T mobile with a dhd and my phone keeps losing the data connection.
I have to reboot to initialise it again. If I switch to wifi thats fine, but 3G data keeps dropping out. It can't be the network as the reboot seems to sort it. Sim works fine in other phones. Have you got this problem too?
I'm also getting the reboot problem and the dialer crashes too everyday preventing me from making a call. Otherwise a really good phone!
yep, I am having the same problem on my sim, wierd, I had never had this problem. It started today when i turned my data connection (mobile internet connection) on and did not turn it off, usually I turn mobile network (for internet ) on and then off after some use.
I will try to do same for 2-3 days, lets see what happens. Anybody else having same problem. any solutions ?
Every so often my WiFi won't connect to my home router. Seems to happen after i leave for some time then come back home. I can see the network but cannot connect or turn off the WiFi. The only way for me to fix it short of a reboot is to turn on airplane mode turn off WiFi then turn off airplane nice. Anyone else experience this? Otherwise the phone had been perfect.Stock non rooted.
There is already a thread here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3247645

Those issues are not the same. This thread is not qn issue of automatic connection, it is that the wifi cannot connect or be disabled because something is wrong with Marshmallow.
Hi,
I've got the VNS L31; bought a month ago. I've soon discovered that, when I turn down wifi, the internet connection frequently won't turn on. Sometimes I need to turn off and on again the mobile connection, sometimes I need to switch airplane mode. That's annoying.... Someone knows how to fix that?
