any aosp based rom has the android browser, not chrome. the android browser supports flash. a great aosp based rom is rasbean jelly, its found in the original development section

You can also install adobe flash player. This should work with any ROM

Your welcome lol

Maddoggins cool rom also has it.

Just install flash as was said and pick a browser that has flash support. I prefer Boat Browser

Hi Guys,
i Finally managed to get cyanogen mod on my phone thanks to you however after a little while i noticed there was no flash player.
i thought you couldn't get 10.2 because you need a ARM v7 processor, so is there any other way of getting some form of flash player(especially for the web browser)
any help would greatly be appreciated

thanks but it managed to have flash on 1.6 so is there any way to downgrade flash to a lower version??
Yes on sense rom you can have flash. Because cyanogenmod is not sense you can't have working flash. Cyanogenmod with working flash player will be ultimate rom. Maybe sometime in the future.

Try stock JVT, semaphore 1.8 BM, all Samsung apps removed, acid tweaks, spb shell 3d launcher, very cool, very stable, stands out from from the usual crowd

You can try stock 2.3.5.
Another option is cyanogen mod 7.1

Personally I think that the best ROM he should try is: Simple Beautyone.
And one advantage, as this is ROM for HD2, based on Windows Mobile 6.5, it is even more irrelevant for him than yours...
IMHO, use MIUI as its very clean..
Then flash MyUI EnhancerMOD v3.0
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1304240
I am using it whole day today, with heavy use of wifi and 3g, battery 15% at 9pm (on single charge), and the speed is awesome.
Hi,
I have two roms I like to use:
Juwe's rom, now v6 version
Doctors rom, also v6 version.
Both rom are based on 2.3.5 JVT including Semaphone kernel 1.8.
Personally I prefer Doctors rom because it is very fast and the battery lasts for me 50-70 hours.

I have the same problem
Adobe Flash player is not working on CM9-NIGHTLY-120711-Defy Epsylon
tested with all browsers and no answer,
Is not about the browser or the rom. It is because adobe decided not to develop flash for android 4.x in advance, and cm9 works in those.
Sorry for mi english, i speak spanish.

Love the stock rom feature set, tried out jellybean the only thing i can see thats better on that rom is the smoothness its no where near as feature rich as the stock rom.
currently using XXLG8 stock rom can anyone tell me what the best stock custom rom there is out there as i would rather use the stock rom with all its features than jb with smoothness but without features and broken camera and camcorder that cant do 1080p.
any recommendations peeps ?

There is dozens of this exact thread in the Nexus S forums. A few active and talking right now in this very sub forum. Its all a matter of personal opinion. Do some searches, read some reviews, flash and try and base your decision by your use cause no one uses their phone the same way with the same signals.

You seem new to roms, its probably best for you to start out with this combination:
ROM: Cyanogenmod 10 Nightlies
Kernel: Default CM10 kernel
or
ROM: Rasbeanjelly
Kernel: Trinity kernel
Also heres a popular list of roms and kernels
ROMs: CM10 Nightlies, Slimbean, Blackbean, Rasbeanjelly, Strawberry
Kernels: Marmite, Matrix, Trinity, Air
You can find all of them here.

You need to wipe everything (except sdcard) if you're moving from a different rom (PA)
Just do a nandroid/titanium backup and everything will be fine.
Here's the link to stock, rooted, deodexed 4.1.2 rom: http://d-h.st/t7o
_thalamus 4.1.2 kernel: https://www.dropbox.com/s/mlc10xyx1...3.0.31-666_rel-9-g76bb0a5-20121016-213036.zip

CM10 is your best bet, other ROMs like Rasbeanjelly+Trinity is also good too but it's more likely a gimmick imo.
Definitely start out with CM10. I just recently got into flashing custom ROMs on my Nexus S (was rocking stock for a long time), and CM10 + Marmite kernel (smartassV2, cfq, 200/1000) is my preferred setup.
I've also tried my luck with Slimbean and Strawberry 4.1.2, but both of them always had little annoyances that you simply don't have to worry about with CM10. That being said, the AOSP-based ROMs like Strawberry and Slimbean do run very smoothly. I do plan on trying out AOKP, however, as it has a TON of customization options and appears to be pretty polished overall.
Slim Bean is the best rom for me, but I can customize everything so I have no problem. For most people it's better to use CM10 and the Jelly Bean 4.2 gapps.

Both the ROM and kernel can have an effect on gaming performance. Try testing out another kernel to see if anything improves.
Like I said earlier, I highly recommend Marmite for the Nexus S. It has great performance and battery life.
help
Hi, I just rooted my Nexus S (Mobilicity) the first time and I have some question here:
1. Should I just install this CM10 nightly cm-10-20121115-NIGHTLY-crespo.zip (seems to be the latest) ?
2. I found gapps 4.2 here ]highonandroid.com/android-apps/googleapps-4-2-for-android-jelly-bean-roms-gapps/, Can I use this for CM10?
3. Do I need to flash radio for CM10?

1. Yes, that's the latest nightly. Should be very stable, as far as I know.
2. DO NOT download that gapps file. The one linked in that article has the old, ugly prototype keyboard and has force closes up the anus. You can search this forum for better packages of the 4.2 Google Apps, but they are all still a little too buggy or incomplete for my tastes.
3. No need to flash a radio. CM will not overwrite your current one.

Thanks for your advice, I am using CM10 now. cheers!!!
Hi guys
in my experience, the best combo is:
ROM: CodenameAndroid 3.5.0
Kernel AirKernel stable r2
the battery life is very good, there is no lag and with new ADW launcher, homescreen and drawer are very smooth
