Love the stock rom feature set, tried out jellybean the only thing i can see thats better on that rom is the smoothness its no where near as feature rich as the stock rom.
currently using XXLG8 stock rom can anyone tell me what the best stock custom rom there is out there as i would rather use the stock rom with all its features than jb with smoothness but without features and broken camera and camcorder that cant do 1080p.
any recommendations peeps ?

you can choose themes or stick it out with the stock!
Farewell thread
Closed, no such thing as a "best" rom

Hello all . . Would like to conduct a poll as to which rom you guys have flashed and
stuck on as it gives the best results
No stock option?
Cassie rom is the fastest yet, just tried darky 1.3 but it was slow!
Just flashed Rocket Rom V12 and very impressed with the speed. Completely smooth scrolling and excellent battery performance so far.
Sorry I stick to stock deodexed rom. Most of Rome in development are just themed stock.

think you know nothing much then? have you even tried a rom before?
I used to flash roms on my SGS so much.. however with the Note I am very happy with rooted stock... very fast.. not a single lag in scrolling.. smooth unlocks and camera... I play 1080p videos via HDMI on my 46inch and 3D gaming is excellent and I am happy with the Samsung luncher as well... I will wait for the stable ICS roms...
stock rom No flashing!
Rocket rom v12 is the real deal

I tried Darky 1.1, 1.2 & 1.3 -> had problems using the phone. i tried to fix it like it was told in the thread, but it still didnt work out
Then I switchet to rocket rom and now everything is fine except for bloatware...
Still Im looking forward to the final Darkyrom, since I used it on my SGS1...
Stock rooted.
Yes I've tried Cassie, rocket and darkyrom. Sorry stock has always been smooth to me. Specially with kl7 release, I take 2min out my busy day and delete apps, theme, and make tweaks my own.
Its been the same since sgs2. Rooted stock rom, someone else's kernal and some tacky theme on top.
Im patiently waiting for checkrom.

Stock rom but I will try latest Rocket Rom.
Stock rooted.
What kernels do you use with stock rom? Chanfire?

Stock Unrooted.
Stock rooted for me too. And I don't see any reason to flash another rom as the stock one is fantastic.

I'm on Rocket v12. Everything is ok except custom launchers. These are still choppy (especially the app drawer to home screen transition). I am really hoping to get somehow a real custom rom like miui.
I used miui on the sgs2 for a really long time and was very pleased with it.
So far...stock is the one for me.
Good Day Playas,
I am gifting my old galaxy s2 to a friend of mine and I would like to flash his phone.
Can you tell me which original and which modified rom you would recommend for the following three categories below?
1. Which rom has the least bugs
2. Which rom is fastest
3. which rom has best Best battery life.
Thank you for your kind help.
Are you looking for a Samsung ROM (with Touchwiz, etc), or one based on AOSP?
If you want to give him a ROM with no identified bugs (though FM radio doesn't work) that is also fast and has incredible battery life, then I have to recommend krarvind's Slim ICS.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1536783
If you're after a stock Samsung firmware, then I'm afraid I can't help you. Not a clue as to the differences between them.
Is there anyone else that can give me info in the manner i specified?

Best stock rom: WanamLite
Best AOSP: Resurrection Remix, Root Box and Slim.
Sent from my potatato
Well, I'm going to go ahead and answer in the format than you seem to perversely like (since essentially these three criteria are interwoven), but for me it is AOKP all the way since it is so fast:
1. Rootbox
2. Rootbox
3. Rootbox
EDIT: It feels good to be blunt, or undifferentiated. It's not like I normally act this way.

Best ROM is the one that works best for you. Check a few out for yourself and make your own decision.
Hey guys just help the people who are looking for best Rom from many rom at present for our galaxy note 2

My best rom is at present is
Combination of wannam lite + simplicity framework mode :beer:
There are already many threads on this.

the best is omega
No such thing as the "best" rom. Different roms cater to different needs, the best rom is the one that works best for you.
Sent from my GT-N7100 using xda premium
The one with the highest number of views and posts. Its the one i would rely on. Which as it turns out in both S3 and Note 2 forum is the Omega roms. I've been using them for sometime now and nothing to complain about so far. But yea some of the guys here are right, not everything is available in one ROM. Its best that you read what's included in that ROM and match it with what you require.
Sent from the Rabbit Hole
it would be better if u open the thread with poll... best is rooted stock just for now for me
Omega v10
Re: [POLL] Vote for your best Custome Rom on Your Note 2
If I just list every rom, can we let this thread die?

Re: [POLL] Vote for your best Custome Rom on Your Note 2
Lg optimus g is best for note 2.

Current favourite:
Wanamlite
Simply because it all works, I want to keep stock features and have as reliable a rom as possible. I'm on stock kernel that comes with the rom.
I've tried:
Hyperdroid Pegasus
Omegarom
Monxdified
Re: [POLL] Vote for your best Custome Rom on Your Note 2
CRASH rom v4.4 is best for now..... As well as phoenix rom
Re: [POLL] Vote for your best Custome Rom on Your Note 2
Phoenix rom
Fast & stable & all works like charm the best so far
Tried:
Ommega
Wannam
Stock
Sent from my GT-N7100 using xda app-developers app
I'm currently using ARHD + simplicity framework mode, I like the (kinda) stock experience without getting the rom to change that much, less issues to be found.
Re: [POLL] Vote for your best Custome Rom on Your Note 2
I use Phoenix rom. No complaints, I've been using it over 3 weeks now .
kingdroid v4 for ever
Crash V4.4 + N.E.A.K kernel
Rocking on my note2
These ROMs are the best ones.
(Just a list in case it helps.)
Chrash Rom 4.5 Stock Kernel is my favorite yesterday i got over 7 h display on the device was runnig for 17 h :good:
An actual poll would be nice so we can clearly see what is the most popular (not that popularity means much in terms of quality)
Otherwise its gonna be pretty hard to see what peoples favorite are if this thread gets much longer.
Or is the OP going to go through each post and make a little list of whats favourite? If you do, you prob have too much time on your hands lol
Anyway Im all about Android Revolution with Stock Kernel.......its the business (oh and pls close this thread as its pointless and a waste of space )
Is there any rom like Oxygen like HTC Desire, i don't think on CM7, for Motorola Defy ? I need to install some custom rom for my girl and i need something stock with some tweaks, or something like Oxygen ? Thank you..
Stock with tweaks insures stability and speed...but a custom ROM like oxygen gives more customizations...so it's your call.. but I would go with tweaked stock
Sent from my mighty Xperia Arc S
Can you recommend some stock with tweaks ? Its very important for stability ...

1. If you want a rom with All In One S5 N3 S4 N2 apps and various tweaks then Tamirda's PhoeniX V18.5/18.8 is best option...you will not maiss anything there
2. If you want Stock N3+N2 then Dr Ketans rom is best
3. If you want N2+S5 only then MrLuong' s rom is best and themed (it has great battery life because of lite ver. and black theme)
4. If you want other than this then try DN3 or Phantom
I am CURRENTLY using PhoeniX and its greatest!
Sent from my GT-N7100 using xda premium
Try X-Treme
Sent from my SM-G900F using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
I am using Omega v27 since it was released and it has been rock solid, buttery smooth and battery friendly so far.I have no complains of it.
phantom Rom is The best for battery life and performance......:good:
i am a new custom rom user. my first rom is cyanogen mod 11 snapshot version for n7100. it seems stable and dont have so many bugs. if you want to experience pure android like nexus try it.

Cyanogen Mod is definitely not pure android. There are many many additional features not present in AOSP. Also it has a custom kernel which sets it apart even more. Nice try
Dr.Ketan ROM V7 is my 3rd rom.. a bit buggy but still a best rom from all rom i have tried.. now downloading the Dr.Ketan Custom control ROM V7.1..
Dr Ketan got V7.1 now

As someone metioned here. All depends on whta you want in your phone. All ROMs here are great and I have tested few of them. For me I look for the lightest RAM consuming ROM with Aircommand . I can say Phantom and X-Tream are the best for what I want.
Phantom rom have note 3 apps like snote etc? How about stability?

This type of question/topic is not allowed. There is no such thing as best or most stable.
Try the roms and find out what is best/most stable for you.
Mod Edit
"Best" or "Recommend" ROM/kernel threads are not allowed on XDA.
Please test these things for yourself.
This is the only way you will get an unbiased opinion, and then, you can decide for yourself if it meets YOUR needs.
