Hi all gf has just got a brand new nexus 7 online its arrived today but wouldn't switch on. I figured it just needed a long charge? Once it was plugged in the screen flickers on every 2 seconds with white line then off again.
Any ideas? I or has she bought a knackered nexus?

Re: Nexus 7 flashing white screen! brand new
This seems to be a common issue, at least with the latest batches of nexus 7 tablets. Mine had a charging issue where it said it was charging but did not go over 0%. Was able to use tablet though without charger, so it DID have charge.
Opened case and saw battery was not properly plugged in. I plugged it in properly and it works fine now.

Hi all,
Have anyone encounter the nexus 4 charger emit noise when the phone is fully charged?
But when I turn the phone screen on, the noise will be gone and back again when the phone screen is off.
Thank you.

Can you reproduce this with a video?

Maybe it's a feature?
Hmm.. Will try to take a video. Doesn't seems like a feature. It produce some high pitch sound. When I switch off the power, the phone screen will take some time to wake up, normally it should auto wake up immediately as what I observe from nexus 7.

I realized that the original charger when charging makes the device hot and slow.
But i have a galaxy tab 10.1 charger that keeps it cool and charge fast

My Two cents
I don't own a nexus 4 but mine dies the same exact thing. Usually when the battery is full. My guess is the phone is rejecting the charge. But when You turn the screen on, the charger powers the screen and possibly the speakers, so it stops.

Have you got a old Xperia sitting around? Bring them to us!
Thanks for the comments. I hope my charger don't fail on me. Just want to confirm did anyone use a nexus 7 charger to charge nexus 4? I read through forum, though the nexus 7 using 2A than nexus 4 1.2A. The phone will charge fine without damaging the battery or the phone, since it only draws the amount of charges needed.

Charger buzz not only when fully charged, but the whole cycle
Okay, so my nexus 7 got completely discharged a couple of days ago. Now when I try to charge it using an AC charger (even tried the one that came with it) it starts up, then powers off due to insufficient power and keeps repeating this cycle indefinitely. Its not charging up and I have no idea what to do.

Hello,my nexus 7 chargers very slow ,so i saw in ones of the topics a kind if solution, you must to pull out and in charger,so my question is how bad this thing to my battery(tablet)?

I have a Nexus 4, I got it when it first came out and then the screen cracked. So, I got the screen replaced, but then got a battery problem - it would die around 50% and be at like 10% when I turn it back on. I got a new battery, put it in and the same thing is still happening.
It's completely stock. The Nexus 4 I'm using right now is completely fine running PAbeta though.
Does anyone know how to fix this?

Hello I'm new to the nexus 4 forms. Okay so today I traded my Galaxy note 1 for the nexus 4 and the HTC One x. I was really excited to see the nexus 4 for the first time. Upon looking at it, the screen had 3 cracks in it but the person said it still functions fine. Cracks don't really bother me that much anyway. He also said that it needed a new battery and that the phone can still be turned on/used. When I went home I plugged it in and I saw a flashing red-light. Then a few minutes after I saw the charging icon on the screen. I waited abit more and tried powering on, the battery icon disappeared and I saw the flashing red light again, I left it alone for about 30m+ and when I looked at it I saw the battery icon filling up and down but there was no raise in charge. So I started looking things up. I have tried opening the phone and disconnecting the battery on and off the board, stripping a USB cable with the + and - connections putting it on the battery for 13-15mins plugged into a laptop (I used my playstation 2), and that didn't work. What I then did is take the battery out and plugged in the charger only. I managed to get into the bootloader screen but when pressing start I see the Google word and it just shuts off. Awhile later it just got to the point where when I plug in the charger the red light blinks and stays that way (occasionally I will see the charging logo). I will buy a new battery if needed I just wanted to make sure there's something I didn't try yet, or confirm the battery is the issue. There doesn't appear to be any water damage and everything looks clean inside the phone. I can post a picture of the battery if needed. Hopefully this phone isn't dead and can be working again, I saw afew videos called the red light of death where the nexus 4 was plugged in with a steady red light appearing with no charging at all, mine only flashes so I think that is a good sign. I guess I will plug it in all night when i go to sleep hoping for it to turn on in the morning. I've also already called lg and they have horrible service... Please let me know if there's anything else I can try. Thanks!

You gotta be kidding right... Dang. So one Crack will make it not work? I mean I'm on my HTC Droid and I was able to still use it 100% normal after dropping and cracking the screen slightly.

we are talking about LG nexus 4 , not a htc. Nexus 4 digitizer is made directly on front glass.
