1saleaday - Scammers

I ordered a Galaxy Note GT-N7000 (i9220) from 1saleaday.com on 03/15/12, and finally received the shipment yesterday (03/28/12). When I opened the shipping container, I discovered an unsealed Galaxy Note box (These were sold as BNIB) that contained all of the accessories, but no Galaxy Note. I have been in constant contact with them the last two days, at which point they tried to persuade me into purchasing today's deal on the Note, at which point they would refund my money and cancel my previous order. Unwilling to do this, because I am already out $584, and was not prepared to throw good money after bad to a company that does not even have a customer service phone number, I was finally informed at the end of their business day today (4:30 PM EDT) that I would NOT be receiving a refund, after all. You see, apparently I am not alone in this, and rather than them take care of the customers who have already tied money up in their shady venture, they now want to do an "investigation" into how widespread this may be. I signed a sworn affidavit attesting to the fact that I did not receive the phone, just the box and accessories, yet they still refuse to refund my money or send me the phone. I do not believe they do this to everyone, but I think they selectively choose random customers here and there when they think they can get away with committing fraud. So, consider this a heads up that doing business with these losers can leave you without the item you paid for or the money you used to pay for it.

I have bought quite a number of items from 1Saleaday and received everything in order including a BNIB HTC View 4G. Just file a dispute or charge back from your Credit Card. Hope you get your money/phone asap.

I have gotten a tentative refund from my credit card company, but this could easily devolve into a "he said, she said" mess, which I want to avoid. What I do not want to avoid is publicly defecating on their business name, which I am in the process of doing across the internet.

I bought a motorola Atrix lapdock from them a couple of week ago. Finally got it 3 and1/2 Weeks later. It was a b#$&h trying to communicate with them. It was only $55 but I was that close to calling my credit card company and filling a claim to get my money back. that's the first and last time I'm buying anything from 1 sale. Might be a good idea to call your credit card up and see what your options are.

well when u think about it its not really their fault some employee probably at the shopping warehouse stole it and ofcourse the want to check into it, if they gave everyone a refund as soon as they got a complaint they would be in major trouble

Exactly. I'm no fan of 1Sale either, but they can't just issue such a large refund immediately. If I were in charge, I'd want to investigate this claim as well.

Their internal investigation is of no consequence to me. They asked me to just sign an affidavit so they could issue the refund, I did so, and the minute I told them I was not interested in buying today's special, they changed their tune. Either state that I am getting it, dependent on some conditions, or tell me they need to look into the matter further.

+1 for sure, I always set up my tripod and camera before I open the package, even if I'm super excited to get it. I've gotten a box of CD's and a few rocks instead of an XBOX on Ebay. I'll never make that mistake again.

I had an interesting experience with them as well when I was in the market for a 2nd computer to do some dev work on. Received the computer that I purchased from them and it had a bad power supply. Argued with them and it took 3 weeks after receiving the computer for them to issue me an RA and return shipping label, then another 3 weeks to get my refund.

I ordered 3 htc Evo views from them all came flawless. Also ordered 32gb cards a bunch of other things from then with no issues. Hope everything works out in your favor...

I've dealt with 1saleaday on numerous occasions. They may be slow about sending stuff, but I've always received what I ordered. Willing to be they've got someone nefarious in their warehouse/shipping partner chain. Hope it all works out for you!

This thread should be locked. The merchant is very reputable and who tells us you didnt just tale the device sell it in the blackmarket. Ive never had problems with them and they dont care about stealing a $550 device+they have sold almost 1000galaxy notes nobody has complained

If you notice on my signature I have an iPhone. Nothing to say here. I don't want to get into which OS is best, and the reason for keeping an iPhone for so long.... I have my reasons; anyways, time to move along and the Note II is really teasing me. I have some extra cash before all the huge expenses in December and definitely I want this thing.
Now, I found that a seller at Amazon already has the 16GB version of the Note II. I live in Belize, and I cannot pre-order from US carriers, but I can get anything from the US without any sweat (as long as I have the cash to pay the shipper from US and the import taxes here at home...). So, should I jump the gun on this one or wait till after the official release date in the US?

So I guess you guys see no real benefit in waiting for amazon or Samsung selling these directly... I'll buy it from Amazon then, unless you have a promo code for newegg

the guy has nearly 3000 ratings on ebay , 99.7% positive as well as was very responsive about the questions i asked him about. also mailed me to ask if i wanted overnight for a little more than what i had paid, ended up taking up his offer for $14 all in all $729 paid. id say still cheaper than many of the other sellers.

Are you freaking kidding me. After reading that the guy offered to ship your phone faster for couple more bucks, I went and wanted to email him that proposal. Guess what. This thing shipped 15 minutes after I placed the order....
Well, he deserves kudos indeed. So FedEx says it will be delivered the 10, I hope it makes it the 9th...

That's awesome, although they do specify that Pre Order availability and pricing can change prior to a product coming into stock. Pre Orders can be cancelled at any time by emailing us.

Eh, I don't think they're all that good as a company to be honest, my USB port died on my GS2 after 13 months, I emailed to ask about the warranty and they told me even though they advertise that it comes with a 2 year warranty, it's really only 1 year, and anything after that I'd have to prove Samsung was at fault and that it wasn't due to wear and tear.

Their site is hosted by "uk-cheapest.co.uk" and the registrant for their domain name has a Yahoo! e-mail address. They're certainly no Clove or Handtec.

To be fair that's down to Samsung. It's their discretion on warranty cover. Although you could go down the legal route when goods don't last a reasonable amount of time for the price paid, which the supplier is responsible for.
I'm not sure many companies would help after more than a month or 2 without a push.
Even Game required a snotty letter (pointing out consumer law rights) before they agreed to fix an xbox 360 past its warranty period.

Careful with these guys - they charge a 15% restocking fee if you change your mind - check their T&Cs. You get a shock if you return the item.
I know it won't be an issue for most as you'll want to keep hold of your S4s but worth thinking about of your not sure as it's a huge restock cost.

Yeah I hate the 90 day warranty but the credit card warranty should give you another 90 days.
According to slickdeals, you only get the perks if the previous owner did not use it.

That really is very cheap. The 90 day warranty is definitely a drawback but I wouldn't get excited about the "$600“ of freebies - I wouldn't say they were worth even $60 to me.

Yeah 90 day warranty sucks however if you plan on rooting the device it doesn't matter.

I got this deal earlier today. It would be nice if it had the freebies, but I'm not counting on it. I'll still try however. Now off to read about rooting this and when Kit Kat is expected.

I got one of the 2013 ones manufacturer refurbished and it had the dropbox 50gb for 2 years perk at least. You might get lucky. Most people who buy these tablets and then return them usually just get confused and want an ipad instead.

What is the shipping time on these?

I purchased the 32gb version. I was very pleasantly surprised that I received all of the "add-ons", $25 Play Credit, $50 Samsung Hub Credit, 50gb of Dropbox, etc.

It took a couple of days for them to ship and then the UPS shipping info was all f'ed. It showed a delivery back in October with confirmation, told me the post office would deliver when in fact UPS delivered it, etc. If you see bad info on the UPS screen don't stress about it the tablet will arrive within a reasonable amount of time.

I ordered a 32GB one on 1/22, and it's predicted to arrive 1/30. It's shipping from New Jersey, and I'm on the west coast.
I also have the messed up tracking information. It looks like Groupon is reusing UPS tracking ids.
This is going to be a nice upgrade. My current tablet is a Toshiba Thrive. Chunky, but all the full-size ports (USB, HDMI, SD Card) were convenient. It's getting slow, though.

Ok, I just placed my groupon order. I guess all the 32GB were sold out, but given that I have a 64GB micro sd card, I'll live.
Not holding my breath on the perks, but we will see.
I have another 9 days before the return period is up on this Note 8. Hopefully it will overlap!

I ordered one on Saturday and it will be delivered tomorrow. Super excited about it and can't wait. Work is going to suck tomorrow.

Mine came in today and it looks perfect. From the shipping tracking on UPS, its been sitting in NJ since October 16. I doubt anything was wrong with them to be refurbished. Probably just returned.
