Fagyi's Nandroid last version issue - Touch HD General

Hi,
A can't post in the development forum, so I write here the issue that I have encountered with the new release FagyiDROID-V1.zip for Blackstone.
The issue is that the microphone is not working.
Because this is a critical bug, could anyone notify this to Fagyi in development forum?
Thanks and regards,
Gilen

The bug has been fixed with an update and a new odexed version.
Anybody knows what is that term, "odexed"? Is it any kind of compression? With this our nandroid will run more quickly?
Thanks...

did not see the odexed file

dudes, where did you find the odexed file. From the source, I only got the v1 file. Of course, the microphone is down.
Besides, I still can not turn on the wifi if I turn on the phone with SD card inserted. However, if I turn on the phone without SD card, the wifi works but the SD card can not be recognized even if I pluged it in. Besides I can not connect to pc to take SD card as USB. Anybody has any ideas? Thx

Confirmed, not only for me worked!
badzed said: ↑
I found a way how to enable wifi with scdard inserted.
1. Remove SD card.
2. Reset your phone.
3. When phone begin boot insert SD card.
-IMPORTANT. Insert SD card BEFORE begin android boot.
-Try insert when you see blue fastboot screen.
4. Turn on WiFi.
Thank you badzed, nice found!!!

From my experience with this ROM:
Wifi issues - It works. See workaround with SD card insertion at fastboot (blue) screen.
SD Card issues:
* Best to insert SD card during fastboot (blue screen). Then you get Wifi + SD card on phone.
* Plug-in SD card after Android bootup - SD card will not mount. When in Android, if you Unmount SD card and remove it, then re-insert and Mount again, the phone will not detect SD card.
* PC-USB-SD card: PC-USB cannot read SD card in phone. Read the FAQ / Wikis about this issue. You will need some sort of multi-mount software.
Off-topic: In Android tablets with ICS, for PC-USB to read SD card, need to turn on USB debug mode, plug tablet to PC via USB, then Turn On USB Connection. Without this operation, PC will not see SD card on the ICS tablet.

HD dosent detect memory card after official ROM update

i have a problem the phone dosent detect the momory card after i installed the rom update from the official site
if i restart the phone it detects the card for about 3 minutes then sudenly no more card
This has been discussed in the ROM development thread.
Did you take the sd card out when flashing it??
My advise would be take it out and hard reset it and see if that helps.

please dicuss this topic in the above given thread. So we can catch the most information in order to find the reason of that issue
On MIRI V12 :: SPL 1.56 :: RADIO 1.14.24.25
Maybe it will be useful for you! I had a similar problem.
When I connect my MicroSD card on my HD, I saw it but after some seconds, it disappeared.
Then I try to backup my MicroSD with a SD adapter and put it into my PC.
And I remarked a bug on a folder named “BACKUP” at the root of the MICRO SD.
Then after backup all files (but not this folder) I formatted my MicroSD (FAT 32, 32ko).
I put it into my Touch HD and I done a soft reset.
After boot, a new “backup” folder was created and in its properties the checkbox “ROM” was checked.
I remember I backed up some day ago, formatted and then re-copying data on MICROSD.
I think there was an error during this step.
I hope it will run for you!
And sorry for my English ^^

[Q] A problem with Android on my HD2, any suggestions?

hello, i am running mattc froyo1.5b, it is the most stable build for me, when i go to the market i can install apps without any problems but after i exit the app and then go back to using it after a while i become unable to install any app ( when i click on install , it doesnt download the app, and nothing happens to the download progess bar ) i have to shutdown android, restart it and then it will work again.
i tried unmounting the sd card then installing the app but it still won't download
anybody having the same problem? any suggestions?
p.s: i had the same problem with other android builds before mattc froyo 1.5b
not trying to be rude but you should have read the first post more carefully
from the rom thread

It is easier to list what I know doesn't work.
Certain apps from the market won't install. Neocore is one for example. You have 2 options to get them to work. A) Copy the .apk to your SD card then run it from your phone or B) Unmount your SD card first (Settings > SD Card > Unmount SD Card).
Flashlight app doesn't work. There are some on the market that will work.

thanx for ur reply but i actually read that post and it is not the problem that i am getting because i can install the same app that wasnt installing before in the first time but only after i shutdown android and restart
Your sd card is definitely corrupted. Backup your files out of the sd card, use a proper sd card formatter and restore everything back again. Because the card is formatted to fat32, the data.img file of which your actual android data files is stored can become heavily defragmented and causing these issues.

No, please don't use that format tool...read the thread...it's no good...it will format the SD Card as FAT16...which is highly inadvisable...
Use Windows to format the sd card.

Good tip Dave, also large files and sketchy data connections, are problematic. if you are not on WIFI, 3G network inconsistency is a big download killer, unless you have a good network H steady connection, the market is inconsistent. I've found
thank you everybody i formatted my sd card to fat32 and i will check and see if the problem is gone
i formated it to 32 and the problem is still there, any suggestions?? pleassse!! but for me no downlaod from android market ever worked, from other markets they did!

[Solved] Reboot WP7 auto hard resets....

So after I flashed WP7, everything works fine. But whenever I turn off the phone (long press end call key) and open it again the next day. All my settings are gone (i.e. Hard reset without me doing anything). Also same thing happens when I change my regional settings and click that link to reboot my phone. Why is this? Hope someone can helpme out.
EDIT:
EVERYTHING IS WORKING. Data is saved after reboots.
Steps:
1. Flash WP7 like usual WITH SD card inserted
2. Wait for WP7 to load up.
3. Physically REMOVE SD card from phone.
4. Restart phone
5. When phone is booting up (white HTC screen). Put back in the SD card
6. You should then see the WP7 setup screen.
I hope this helps out other people who had similar problems with stock hd2 2GB SD card.

sorry for the stupid q, but do you have an sd-card inserted into your phone? cause it seems like you don't. wp7 uses sd card for some off system files.

i bet its not compatible, this sounds like the shipped 2gb card and i had the same problems like many others with the shipped sd card
-> have you got the first start steps?
i think no
remove your sd card, go to settings, info and reset your phone
after this everything will work (until your storage is gone)

external sd card not mounted miui

hi folks.
here's the thing. i just flashed miui 2.1.13 .32 kernel. and when i go to file explorer, i can only see my internal sd card. no matter what program i use... same. AND when i pull out extrenal sd card, phone says that there is NO sd card inserted. but when i put it back in, everything is back to same.
help? thank you
try to push the card slightly to one side or the other. That happened to me too and it was the card that wasn't making contact with the phone.
I got the solution with X5-Setting. Here ist a option for internal or external Card

awesome that helped thank you
I'm running .35 kernel, and have noticed that the last few releases of MIUI wont mount the external SD card after a shutdown & startup. It says the SD card is corrupted & needs to be formatted. I even exchanged the SD card for a new one and I still kept getting the problem. I found that rebooting the phone fixes the problem - the SD is now mounted. So it seems to only be a problem after doing a full shutdown - not a restart.
Managed to kill one of my sdcards in the latest miui, it got dced al the time and now i cant write, delete or format it. Have tried it on my laptop without luck. So be careful

Hi,
I have the same problem! If I power on the smartphone from a full shutdown my sdcard (the external one, 16 GB Sandisk) is not mounted, then if I restart the X5 Pro, Android mount correctly my external sdcard.
For this reason I wanted to change sdcard (before I had a Sandisk 4GB) with a new Sandisk 16GB sdcard. The problem is still here
How can I fix this problem?
I flashed a lot of different roms, based on B512, B540, custom gingerbread 2.3.4, Gingerbread by Genokolar, porting U8860 Huawei Honor for X5Pro, CyanogenMod 7.1 but I have always the same problem.
Please developers, find a solution because it is not a nice bug.
Regards,
kalo86
Experiencing the same problem on my U8800, MIUI 2.1.20, 2.6.35 kernel. After shutdown, the sdcard will not mount. Have to reboot to get it to work again.

[Q] SD Card blank or has unsupported filesystem

Hello guys,
I have a Galaxy S5 G900T running the AllianceRom 3.1 made for G900F. I use an external SD Card SanDisk 16GB and since yesterday I never had a problem.
So, now I'm experiencing this error: "SD Card blank or has unsupported filesystem" on Notification Panel. When I click on it, android asks me if I want to format the card, I click OK, and at the end the same problem occurs.
Things I already tried to do:
1) I tested the SD Card into another Galaxy S5 and it's running OK without the problem;
2) I formatted the SD card (full format) on a windows computer. Windows recognizes it, and it's running OK;
3) I checked the file vold.fstab on /etc folder and it has the same content as another Galaxy S5 that is running OK the SD card;
4) I re-flashed the AllianceRom 3.1;
[EDIT 1]
5) Tried to wipe the SD Card using TWRP Recovery (as image 1 attached)
6) Tried to partitioning using TWRP Recovery (as image 2 attached)
[EDIT 2]
7) I bought another SD Card, a Samsung 64GB and when I insert it on device I don't get this error, but also not able to mount, it doesn't even recognizes the SD card.
p.s. I searched a lot on XDA, even on Google, and those was the possible solutions I've found, but didn't work for me.
Does someone experienced this problem and was able to fix?
Does anyone knows another alternative that could work?
Thanks in advance

Have you tried another SD card in your phone? EDIT: Nevermind this bit
When you plug the SD card into your handset (do it while it's off) Does the SD Storage show anything?
You could try formatting it in another handset if you have the chance then try plugging it in.
Are you using stock Sammy firmware? Or have you installed a custom kernel? Could be one of those playing havoc with your device if so, back up and revert to stock if you can, retest the SD in there.
Test to see if you can retrieve data from the SD card, i've found that although SD cards show up in windows, when I attempt to copy data to the PC it fails, when I say fail I mean it stops progressing and doesn't copy, particular files appear corrupt.
You could also do a chkdsk /f /r via windows on the SD card, or even a general error check.
chances are one of these things will be the culprit, if none and it's still working in another phone and other cards are working in your device then i'm stumped.
Good luck
I would try philz recovery, i had all kinds of problems with twrp on my note 3 and s5 until switching. Not knocking twrp this is just my experience

I'm starting to think this is a hardware problem, because I tried everything and nothing happened.

Quite an odd one that, i'm a little stumped.
did you try error checking on windows? OR even a format in a different handset? OR a different card in your phone to see if to see if it reads?
On the other hand if the phone isn't that old, return it, 28 day swap should be good if you're in time, otherwise it's back to sammy.

Same here. My phone already went in for repair for this and the front camera ring falling issue. Mine was preordered and shipped at launch. It worked a few weeks and now has stopped again. Simply won't recognize any SD cards. I tried an old 2GB, a Kingston 16GB, a Lexar 32GB from my GoPro, and a Sandisk 64GB. All cards work elsewhere, but my S5 never indicates anything is inserted. This is my first Samsung, and it might be my last. I never experienced issues like this on an HTC.
Any progress here? I just got a sweet 64g card Samsung because my others have worked well BUT...
S5 Blank SD card of death. ....
