Hello! I am new on xda, and i have a Little noob question
I want to flash on my Y the JellyBlast ROM, and use the White kernel because is, in my opinion, a very fast and stable kernel.
But, is White kernel compatible with JBlast?
I need to flash the wifi driver provided by whitexp?
Sorry for my bad english
EDIT: Yes, i'm a noob, the jblast thread says that is posible use the rom with any kernel.
Sorry. Moderators, you can delete this useless post.

It will work but you will most likely get a 10% battery bug where the screen switches off at 10% battery & will not turn on unless charging till over 10%
You do not need to flash wifi driver
Hells fusion #63 works much better with jb v3
Perfect

Hey White Kernel 1.3.3 is perfect used for a week without any bug and the performance is awesome.
It also uses less battery and is 100% compatible with JellyBlastv3.The only problem is that the wifi doesnt work for it but,
whitexp's drivers should work fine as u install via cwm...
Rom: JellyBlast v3 (customized)
Kernel : White Kernel 1.3.3
PS:If you find white's drivers doesnt work u can download those stock drivers.

hi
1. read carefully on how to use Odin
2. it is always advisable to do a factory/Data wipe and wipe delvi cache and then flash the ROM via odin and if u want to go back to the stock rom dont worry just look in the rollup thread and u will see some links with stock rom with out boot loader for u to flash
good luck and be care full read carefully before attempting to flash
Like it has been said before, it´s ok.
Just remember to follow the guide and you´ll be just fine.
I recommend to flash the Kyrillos Rom 9.2 with G3Mod 2.2.2 noc oc.
Hit thanks if it helped you anyway.
Best of luck
Thanks alot harree.
Also what about the Overclock thingy? and one more question i read in one of the threads that a bettery stats wipe should be done after installing the rom. Well i searched around and i couldn't find a thread on how to do that. I would appreciate if someone can help with that.
@iam_dragonmaster, how can i install the g3mod 2.2.2 non oc (i figure this is a kernal? how can i install a kernal when installing the rom?) with kyrillos rom? besides i can only install kyrillos 9.0 i think then have to use the update.zip thingy to update.

Boot into recovery using the extended boot menu and apply the update for kyrillos 9.2 by selecting zip from SD card and of course you need to put the update in your SD card. You can download g3mod kernel and flash it via Odin one package and it does not wipe your data . Also you can download the battery calibration app from the market and install it and follow the instructions. For me i use Zeppelinroxs die hard battery calibrator script. Can be found with the beta/test releases of v6 supercharger.

Hi to all, i need a little help with the installation of this kernel. I'm trying to install it in ussr v3 and v4 and always get bootloop. I read that is necessary to uninstall a2sd but i don't know if those ROMs have it (both have Repencis kernel) and i don't know how to uninstall it. I checked init.d folder and i dont see any files with "a2sd" and i dont have my sd-card partitioned or anythig so i dont know what to do, please help. Thanks in advance guys.
pd: Sorry for bad english.
I to had the same problem but i was able to install the kuro kernel but i was using ICS fusion v2.0 rom
unroot ur phone
do a data wipe/cache
before installing kuro kernell
After installing Kuro kernel u may root ur phone again.
And remember always to flash it via CWM & not the stock recovery
u can use the faqbly method to flash the kernel
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1552889
what? unroot? I don't know why did my kernel got a problem with root stuff. try this one. usr have bacem tweak inside it, you'd better remove it or change the value to -20mV before you install my kernel.
i install this kernel with Repencis v3.5 and i didnt get bootloop maybe the a2sd thing is the one thats get you a bootloop cause i use link2sd..because of that i didnt got any problem
btw this kernel is COOL really fast and battery saver
Hi noob question here
I flashed kuro kernel(love this kernel BTW)on samsumsung kies updated stockrom but IMEI number disappeared (IMEI blank)gone from phone has anyone else had this happen. Is there a simple fix to this or reason ?, or do I have to stick with xxla2 which is fine but I love the enhancements on the kies updated rom
I have flashed back stock xxla2 and IMEI number has returned so no damage done
I did'nt note down the kies update number my bad.
edit
service version : PDA:LK3 / PHONE:LK3 / CSC:LL1 (XEU)
Thanks

Also Savie's kernel is banned.

You can look for some battery efficient kernels* like hells fusion, percy and kuro.
Also, hyperion is a banned rom as of now, so we shouldn't talk about it. Read the rules. See my signature for link.

You can use any rom with good scripts like undervolting etc and good I/o schedulars with kernel. Battery doesn't actually depend on rom, it depends on the processes running in background. Also use the button if you want to say thanks, don't waste your posts for it.

Roms, I can't. I myself use deodexed ddlk2 stock. It depends on you.
Kernel I am on Hells Fusion, with sometimes switching back to stock for testing up CM7 build. HF is good (not the best, because if I say its best, someone will oppose me, and will make conflict here), so you can use HF.

On ur current rom..
I have tested all kernels and for some reason hells fusion is not the best choice as far as ur rom is concerned ... the Dev of the rom has put in the best combo possible for it.... well there r other choice but I really don't want to suggest ... pleez read about the kernel and yesterday them yourself (all devs work hard on them)
If u really want to save some battery ...
I had a guide on it .... just scroll through my threads u will find it (I have also mentioned about the right io/governers for everything)
If u want a more detailed guide u can scroll through threads by @TingTingin ... its different from mine and u can choose whichever u like

I read the post just now by Max, and he clearly stated...
At the heart of Infamous ROM is BioShock kernel, which XDA user Jamison904 also made. BioShock kernel is what makes this ROM pretty darn impressive with its performance boost with Quadrant scores near whopping 28k!

It means it is installed during ROM install. When messing with ROMs don't just read half of a tutorial and ignore the rest.

You cannot. You need a CyanogenMod ROM with Theme Engine to use those themes.
If the ROM developer has flashable themes, you can flash them, but not the CM themes at all - unless you run AOSP.
What is AOSP?

This rom is based on cm7 - you must use a cm7 kernel that supports the Base rom
If you have no signal you may want to update your stock rom baseband by flashing the latest modem file for your region - see my firmware thread at top of Dev section or link in signature
